"So?" Alex tilts her head to the left a bit as she watches the girl stare at her drawing. "Do you like it?"

"I..." Sam hands the drawing back to Alex as she thinks of something to say, "I don't like it."

"...Oh..." Alex feels her heart sink as she takes her drawing back from Sam.

"I love it." The girl's voice made Alex smile widely, lifting her heart back into place. "Let's be friends." Sam holds her hand out to Alex. Alex smiles at Sam before nodding.

"Yes. Let's." Alex grips Sam's hand with her own and shakes it.
