"Sammy! It's time for dinner!" Sam's mother calls for her.

"I'm coming!" The child cheers excitedly as she skips down the stairs before gracefully galloping to the dinner table.

"Someone's happy." Sam's mother smiles warmly at her, pulling her chair out so she can sit.

"Yup!" Sam climbs onto her chair and waits as her mother pushes her closer to the table. "I have a friend! And I'm really happy!"

"Oh? And who's this new friend?" Her mother sits across from her at the dinner table.

"Alex is her name." Sam smiles brightly. "I know we'll be great friends forever."
