it was wednesday which means tyler would be starting his first day at josh's school. he was beyond nervous because he didn't know if people were on the more accepting side but despite his worries tyler knew that josh would be there for him.

the time on tyler's baby blue digital clock read 7:00 am. his school officially started class at 8:30 am. tyler had plenty of time to get ready before josh would drop them off.

"hmm what should i wear today...", tyler said out loud as he skipped to his walk in closet. he wanted to dress cute to give off a good first impression but he didn't wanna go all out since his birthday outfit on friday would already be a bit extreme.

tyler turned on the light in his closet, looking inside to see what might catch his eye. he flipped through a bunch of tees until he decided on his white cropped shirt with a butterfly in the center to pair with dark mom jeans. he grabbed his white converse then closed the closet door.

after accessorizing with a necklace with a pink butterfly on it and then one that has diamond letters that spell out "angel" tyler did his hair. which was just somehow making it more fluffy than it already was.

tyler double checked that his shoes were tied before grabbing his phone slipping it into his pink backpack covered in strawberries. maybe it was his favorite fruit but he also loved cherries so he couldn't really pick a favorite.

tyler's lips were covered in chapstick but he still wanted them to glow so he began to search for his favorite cotton candy lip gloss. it wasn't in the lip products drawer at his vanity so he started to panic.

"where is it...?", tyler started to tear his room apart. tears were welling in his eyes and now he felt like a complete baby for crying over lip gloss. he could easily choose strawberry kiwi or vanilla but he wanted his lips to smell like cotton candy to match the perfume he put on earlier.

tyler pulled at his hair which messed it up a bit and let the tears fall. just then josh was walking by to go to the bathroom but caught tyler looking upset.

"ty are you okay? what's the matter, why're you crying?", josh asked frantically. he figured tyler would be nervous about his first day but not to the point where he'd start to cry before it even started.

" 'm sorry i didn't mean to worry you. its a stupid reason, i'm just bein' a baby.", tyler muttered while looking through his wallet.

"you're not a baby, ty. if so though you'd be the cutest and i'd want to pinch your cheeks.", josh said without thinking. once he realized what he said his cheeks dusted crimson while tyler's eyes widened.

"that's so sweet joshie. i'm feelin' better already. i'll just wear my vanilla lip gloss instead of-"

"wait you were upset because you can't find a specific lip gloss? i saw one downstairs on the kitchen counter. i think it was uh... cotton-"   "CANDY!", tyler finished.

tyler ran to josh hugging him tight. he was so happy that josh solved his minor problem. he gave josh a kiss on the cheek before running down the stairs. josh touched the place on his cheek where tyler attached his lips to.

"calm down josh. he's just an innocent almost 16 year old.", josh said looking in the mirror tyler had hung up on his door. it was baby pink decorated with lisa frank stickers.

josh took the time to look over his fit again. he was wearing a mint green golf tee because he was a tyler, the creator stan. it was tucked into light washed jeans that had rips at the knees and he had a blue cloth belt wrapped in the belt loops but the access fabric also hung down all the way to his mid thigh. his socks were pink and his shoes were orange converse.

"jesus when did i start to dress like a soft boy.", he questioned to himself before closing tyler's door and making his way downstairs.

when josh got down there tyler was hugging both laura and kelly telling them to have a good day at work.

"you look so cute today baby. i hope you have a wonderful first day.", kelly said while laura nodded.

"do i get any love?", josh joked.

"no i'm both of their favorites.", tyler playfully smirked while josh rolled his eyes.

"okay we'll be on our way now. let's go ty", josh said opening the front door for his step brother.

as tyler skipped to josh's range rover josh didn't fail to see tyler's glossy lips that had a scent of cotton candy.

tyler was fucking precious.

tyler sat in the passenger seat scrolling though his instagram explore page looking at niche memes but only liking the ones that he thought fit his aesthetic and that were just over all really pretty. josh wasn't playing any music which was kinda boring but tyler didn't question it in case josh just wasn't in the mood for bops this morning.

tyler felt the car stop so he looked up expecting to be at a red light but they were parked outside of a fairly big house.

"uhm josh where are we? this isn't school.", tyler asked turning his head to look at josh who was texting on his phone. after sending the text he put his focus on tyler.

"i'm just picking up debby. i texted her to let her know i'm outside.", josh said with a smile. tyler's heart dropped and when it fell it broke into pieces. this was debby's house??

tyler was about to respond but the passenger door opened scaring him because he wasn't the one who opened it.

" hey taylor. you can move to the back now, thank you." debby said giving the innocent boy an expectant look.

"m-my name isn't taylor. it's t-tyler.", the brown eyed boy corrected.

debby rolled her eyes clicking her purple acrylics against the car. "okay 't-tyler' the backseat is waiting for you." she smiled with fake sweetness.

tyler felt a pang of hurt in his chest when he turned to josh and all he did was look out the window like he wasn't paying attention.

tyler grabbed his backpack and got out the car to sit in the back while debby took his spot in the front. she instantly grabbed josh's face and pulled him in for a long and sloppy kiss. tyler hated watching it so he turned his head with tears yet again in his eyes but he could still hear their lips smacking together.

"you always taste so good." debby said before connecting her phone to the cars bluetooth. now tyler knew why josh wasn't playing music earlier. debby would have turned it off and traded it for hers anyway.

a song tyler didn't recognize began to play. tyler didn't bother looking at the screen to see what artist this was because the song sucked anyway. he just rested his head against the window as josh started to drive again.

they finally arrived at the big 3 story school. josh got a parking spot close to the doors and locked the car once getting out. tyler pulled on his backpack while following josh and his girlfriend to the entrance. he trailed behind like a third wheel.

tyler was feeling so anxious. he's never this nervous because he's always excited to meet new people and make new friends but his day was just starting off bad which put him in a horrible mood.

"okay so you have your schedule in your backpack right? they should have mailed it to the house.", josh asked once they were inside the school. they were still early so josh led tyler to a table where the gang sits before classes start in the cafeteria area.

"yeah i'll show you once we sit down.", tyler mumbled.

josh nodded and pulled debby into his arm. tyler figures that they were the golden couple of the school and his thoughts were deemed true when he saw everyone giving the couple smiles.

once they sat at a table that was empty debby got up soon after to 'go meet some girls by the locker room'. tyler got his schedule out to show josh.

"okay so we have 3 classes together and lunch so that's nice. we can just walk to first period chem together." josh said giving ty his paper back.

tyler nodded pulling his phone out to text his mom that he made it to school safely.

tyler💕- hi mommy. 'm at school. kinda nervous so wish me luck :,(

best mommy💞- aww baby you're going to have a wonderful first day! i promise. josh is going to be with you most of the day and he'll introduce you to his nice friends. ❤️❤️

tyler💕- can i actually tell you something that has to do with josh's lover. :c

best mommy💞- of course! isn't she nice?

tyler💕- not at all. i don't like her!! she made fun of my stutter this morning and made me sit in the back seat when i was already in the front 😔😭

the bell rang so tyler pocketed his phone and sighed. he'd have to answer his mom after class when he had a break.

"hey when we get to chem i'll introduce you to a couple of my friends and more along the way. i think you'll like them.", josh smiled.

"are they anything like your girlfriend? cus if so i might have to disagree.", tyler mumbled quietly. he followed josh through the halls to their class.

josh led him through the crowd pretending he didn't hear tyler admit to not liking his girlfriend.

he ignored his own nagging thoughts in the back of his head that he might not even like his girlfriend.

i saw the pilots on june 21st and it was the best night of my fucking life. tyler popped up during fairly local right next to MY section and i cried and screamed.
