I would NOT recommend reading this interview until you're at chapter 30, which is where the story is currently at. PLEASE don't read it. I have to warn because I'm dragging this chapter all the way to the start with the rest of the interviews. Nathan/Dakota are new characters that appear later, so it's important that you're aware of the SPOILERS. You've been warned. Part 1: The Basics

What is your full name? I was born Synnøve Kittelsen, but changed my name to Dakota. I rarely tell anyone the name I was given at birth, I just say my name is Dakota and move on. It's a nice name that can be used for any gender and that's why I picked it.

Where were you born? Norway and moved to the states when I was nineteen. I am now 22.

Who are your parents? They're both authors who have supported me since the beginning.

Do you have any siblings? I'm the only child, but we have a big family. My mom has four sisters and two brothers.

Where do you live now, and with whom? I live by myself in my own place. It's a cool studio apartment and I love it.

What is your occupation? I'm an artist. I work for a few companies, do some web design, book design, ect - if you can think of it, I can do it, probably. And on the weekends I teach art classes.

Write a full physical description of yourself. You might want to consider factors such as: height, weight, race, hair and eye color, style of dress, and any tattoos, scars, or distinguishing marks. Oh, wow, finally I can be full of myself and have a reason. I'm 5'7 on a good day, I am Caucasian, blond hair, hazel eyes. My style is clean and very boyish, no tattoos, I have scars from my top surgery. I like to work out but don't want to be super muscular, just enough to feel comfortable in my body. I let my hair grow, so I have hair in most places, specially my chest, which I love because I wasn't always able to grow it there. I don't care if people don't like it, it's not for them.

Do you have any allergies, diseases, or other physical weaknesses? I'm physically weak when it comes to JungKook and my favorite anime boys.

Are you right- or left-handed? Right. How many people made sexual jokes about this one?

What does your voice sound like? Oh, boy. It's been a journey, but I think it sounds really good. It hasn't always been deep, but now I'm really comfortable with it. I just sound like your average dude, but it doesn't crack like it does for a lot of people around here . . .

What words and/or phrases do you use very frequently? Gay, gay and gay.

What do you have in your pockets? My phone, a cookies n' cream Hershey bar, a movie ticket and some sand.

Do you have any quirks, strange mannerisms, annoying habits, or other defining characteristics? I can be a little too gay sometimes

Part 2: Growing Up

How would you describe your childhood in general? It was pretty good. I've had a better life than most. Nothing bad.

What is your earliest memory? Falling in a cold lake. It was so cold. I would have lost my dick if I had one.

How much schooling have you had? I finished school and did two years in a university. 

Did you enjoy school? I want to be cool and say I hated it, but I liked it.

Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities? I've always been good at what I do. I started drawing when I was very young because I wanted to bring my parent's stories to life. But I definitely learned a lot from people and school.

While growing up, did you have any role models? A lot of artists and authors. But I became obsessed with anyone who drew yaoi.

While growing up, how did you get along with the other members of your family? I think we were a very normal family, so nothing spicy like everyone else.

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? A boy.

As a child, what were your favorite activities? Drawing, reading, exploring and hiking.

As a child, what kinds of personality traits did you display? Super gay, like so homo, it made my parents confused because I acted like a boy who was into boys. It was as much of a journey for them as it was for me. I'm very happy they were supportive of me and let me have freedom.

When and with whom was your first kiss? I'll never forget it. We were both thirteen. It was inside an abandoned building after school. We were walking home together and he told me he wanted to kiss me, I told him to do it. We kissed, he got hard, the penis scared me and I ran away.

Are you a virgin? If not, when and with whom did you lose your virginity? Oh, boy. I lost it with Derek. It was . . . painful. I didn't tell him how painful, because I didn't want him to stop, but he's very large. I was just surprised how good he made me feel before sliding it in. I was pretty scared of him being repulsed by my ... part, but he seemed to know what he was doing and made it a good experience overall. It was NOT easy though!

Part 3: Past Influences

What do you consider the most important event of your life so far? My transition of course! Finally being my full self after so long of battling. It's been a wild ride, but I did it.

Who has had the most influence on you? My parents, always.

What do you consider your greatest achievement? I think every time I do something for my (lgbt) community I consider it a great achievement. I love giving back and making sure I take care of those who need it.

What is your greatest regret? I'm not completely sure, but I regret the many times I wasn't strong.

What is the most evil thing you have ever done? Send my straight guy friends compilation videos of kpop boys being gay with each other.

Do you have a criminal record of any kind? Nope. That could change though. I don't mind going to jail for defending LGBT people or POC. I may act innocent but I get really angry really fast and I'll fight anyone that thinks they can be an asshole and get away with it. I work out so they will feel my fists.

When was the time you were the most frightened? When I came to America and lived alone without any friends.

What is the most embarrassing thing that has ever to happen to you? When I was outed by the guy I was dating because he found out I was trans. He did it in a large group of people, most who were straight. I was embarrassed, no one defended me or told him to stop.

If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be, and why? I wouldn't change anything. I'm here because of my life's experiences. I am who I am because of the choices I've made. I don't want to be anyone else. I don't want anything to change.

What is your best memory? I think it's not the best, but I was really happy when I got my first binder and I was able to be more comfortable. Just please be careful and research binders before you start!

What is your worst memory? When anything transphobic happens lmao

Part 4: Beliefs And Opinions

Are you basically optimistic or pessimistic? I try to be optimistic, but sometimes realism is what you need.

What is your greatest fear? Being forced to go back to being a "girl"

What are your religious views? I am agnostic

What are your political views? I'd be a democrat.

What are your views on sex? I'm always horny but also always single and alone.

Are you able to kill? Under what circumstances do you find killing to be acceptable or unacceptable? Self-defense

46. In your opinion, what is the most evil thing any human being could do? Be hateful and violent towards anyone because of their sexuality, gender, color of their skin, country, ect.

Do you believe in the existence of soul mates and/or true love? I really want to, but I guess since I've had bad luck, I don't at the moment. But if the right guy comes along, I'll know for sure if he's the one.

What do you believe makes a successful life? KINDNESS.

How honest are you about your thoughts and feelings (i.e. do you hide your true self from others, and in what way)? I have a hard time opening up. I often force myself to be open because if I don't, then I'll just never be strong enough or comfortable enough to share anything. I have a hard time making friends and this is probably why I don't have a boyfriend. I'm just a scared puppy. But I try to be as honest as I can. That isn't always possible when you're transgender, though.

Do you have any biases or prejudices? No, but it makes me so angry when I see gay people being transphobic or racist. It makes me so fucking mad. I would love to fight these pretentious people.

Is there anything you absolutely refuse to do under any circumstances? Why do you refuse to do it? I really don't want to do anal, like I'll do it once but I don't think it's for me. I'm gonna be devastated if my future boyfriend wants to fuck my ass because I love to please, I'm a pleaser, so I feel like I wouldn't be able to say no. Not because he'd force me, no no, it just turns me on turning THEM on, if that makes sense?

Who or what, if anything, would you die for (or otherwise go to extremes for)? My family and those I consider close friends.

Part 5: Relationships With Others

In general, how do you treat others (politely, rudely, by keeping them at a distance, etc.)? Does your treatment of them change depending on how well you know them, and if so, how? I always try to be super nice and supportive, but if I know you're an asshole, then I will be an asshole to you. It's simple.

Who is the most important person in your life, and why? My mom, I guess. I don't have a lot of friends and I haven't had a bestfriend since high school.

Who is the person you respect the most, and why? Anyone who stands up for what is right

Who are your friends? Do you have a best friend? Describe these people. I do have some gay friends, but we're not close, even if they aren't the mean ones. I have a few close friends who are girls, some lesbians, some bisexual, some straight. I have better straight guy friends than I do gay. It sucks cause I can't relate to anyone. Derek is probably the coolest guy I've met and I'm happy he's my friend. We don't hang out a lot because he lives super far away, but we text a bunch.

Do you have a spouse or significant other? If so, describe this person. I WISH! Nathan asked me out, so maybe we will actually end up being a thing. I hope so, he's really cute.

Have you ever been in love? If so, describe what happened. Once, but like always, it ends up badly. Being trans is HARD.

What do you look for in a potential lover? Just that he's nice to me. Please, just . . . be kind to me.

How close are you to your family? SUPER!

Have you started your own family? If so, describe them. If not, do you want to? Why or why not? This is a complicated one. Everything depends on who I'm with, how long, ect. I don't really know. Do I want a family? Maybe. I don't hate the idea, but I'm not ready to even think about having one.

Who would you turn to if you were in desperate need of help? Parents, always do, always will, I am their baby forever

Do you trust anyone to protect you? Who, and why? :( I've been so disappointed, I'd only trust my own parents to protect me.

If you died or went missing, who would miss you? My family and I hope my friends.

Who is the person you despise the most, and why? Everyone full of hate, I hate them right back

Do you tend to argue with people, or avoid conflict? I always argue with everyone. I have to constantly defend my right to EXIST. It's so stupid that I even have to. Like what the fuck? I have to explain to people why I deserve to exist? Bruh. And that's not even half of what my black trans brothers and sister go through. It's. Not. Fair. So yeah, I'll argue, I'll never avoid shit.

Do you tend to take on leadership roles in social situations? Yeah, definitely. I like leading the way. I feel smart enough to do so, anyway. Unless everyone lied to me.

Do you like interacting with large groups of people? Why or why not? It doesn't bother me. If everyone is cool, then I'll have fun.

Do you care what others think of you? I try not to care, but sometimes I end up caring. It's easier pretending you don't care.

Part 6: Likes And Dislikes

What is/are your favorite hobbies and pastimes? I watch anime every day. I read manga every day. I breathe yaoi every day. I also like to draw anime in my spare time. Sometimes I want to try to do it professionally, but it's not easy.

What is your most treasured possession? My art. It's so special to me that I don't even show my friends or talk to them about it.

What is your favorite color? It changes all the time, so I don't have a favorite.

What is your favorite food? Sushi!

What, if anything, do you like to read? I love reading everything. My favorite author is Seraphina Rivera, she's so cool, amazing, intelligent, pretty, talented, wonderful, a goddess, but she's a girl so I'm not into her. A trans sister, but a sister. Yes, I just friendzoned you.

What is your idea of good entertainment (consider music, movies, art, etc.)? There is SO much to do in the world. I love everything exciting. But I love going to amusement parks.

Do you smoke, drink, or use drugs? If so, why? Do you want to quit? I drink, but not often.

How do you spend a typical Saturday night? Same thing I always do. In my place, playing video games, on my computer, drawing, exploring my body, being lonely and single. Hoping that changes soon, though! Fingers crossed.

What makes you laugh? What doesn't make me laugh.

What, if anything, shocks or offends you? I'm shocked at how many years Leo has taken Derek's length and not died of internal bleeding.

How do you deal with stress? Drawing, definitely not video games, and maybe what everyone else said. Lol.

Are you spontaneous, or do you always need to have a plan? I'm a mix of both. I never know what the fuck I'm doing, but it always seems to work.

What are your pet peeves? When people ask me what I want to do, and I say what ever they want to do, but they say they don't care, and then I say I don't care either, and then we just stare at each other for minutes before we call it a day.

Part 7: Self Images And Etc.

Describe the routine of a normal day for you. I usually spend most of the day on my computer, working, on calls with clients, but it's all fun to me. I get to do what I love. Sometimes I have to go to the office, but a normal day for me is just me in my place working.

What is your greatest strength as a person? My privileges are my strengths.

What is your greatest weakness? I can get pretty upset if you press my buttons

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? Nothing

Are you generally introverted or extroverted? A mix, depends on my mood

Are you generally organized or messy? I am HELLA organized.

Name three things you consider yourself to be very good at, and three things you consider yourself to be very bad at. I'm good at drawing, fighting people and I'm a hard worker. I'm bad at confrontations because I will actually beat people up, I'm bad at handling criticism, and I'm bad at lying because I just cry anyway

Do you like yourself? I've learned to love myself, so yes.

What goal do you most want to accomplish in your lifetime? I want to help people. I want to bring joy to people's lives. That's what I want to accomplish.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? IN A RELATIONSHIP WITH A CUTE BOY PLEASEEEE.

If you could choose, how would you want to die? Peacefully, but I'll also go down fighting for MY life. Trust.

If you knew you were going to die in 24 hours, name three things you would do in the time you had left. Derek, Nathan and Leo. Jk I'm not them. I'd probably say good bye to everyone and try to fly to Norway as quickly as possible to spend my last moments with my family.

What is the one thing for which you would most like to be remembered after your death? Hopefully someone that made a change.

What three words best describe your personality? Aggressively gay, homosexual

What three words would others probably use to describe you? I think they would say I'm the real deal, a fighter and a lover.
