"It's okay, I'm not going to say anything."

Adara told me quietly, I nodded understanding that I was in the clear.

"Why not, I thought you'd jump at telling anyone?"

I asked her a little awestruck, Adara smiled and placed her empty frosty cup into the cup holder between the two of us.

"Scarlett, you are one of my best friends, why would I tell?"

She asked taking me by surprise with the sudden nickname, I grinned and leaned into hug her.

"So details, what's going on between you two?"

She asked, my face was still a little pink, I was so happy to finally be able to talk to someone about my boyfriend.

I did have Aaliyah, but Shawn is her brother and that's all just too weird.

"Well..."

I began, Adara giggled and nudged me to go on.

"So come on, is he a good kisser?"

She asked curiously, I laughed and set my frosty down next to hers.

"Perfect!"

I giggled out, Adara laughed loudly along with me, then it went quiet.

"How far... I mean like have you done-"

I cut her off already knowing where she was going, I shook my head and turned to look out the window.

"No, almost actually today."

I whispered, her eyes widened.

"Wait you two almost!"

She squealed, I nodded and waited for her to stop squealing to go on.

"Where!"

Adara asked loudly obviously very interested in my love life.

"The back of his jeep."

I told her quietly, it went dead silent for a moment.

"Scarlett, do you really want your first time to be in the back of his car?"

She asked, I shook my head and dropped my eyes to my lap.

"Don't worry, it won't be. We talked about it, I'm not ready yet."

I told her softly, she nodded and placed a hand on my shoulder.

"Hey, just don't feel pressured by him, and if he does pressure you talk to him about it, okay."

Adara told me quietly, I nodded and after a moment I leaned into hug her once more.

"Thanks for being here."

I whispered in her ear, I could tell that made her smile.

"What are best friends for?"

She asked with a laugh, I smiled knowing that Adara would always have my back, it was nice to know I had a friend I could count on.

"Don't worry, I won't tell Shawn I know. It'll be our little secret."

Adara told me, I nodded agreeing.

Although I hated keeping things from Shawn, it was for the best.
