Stelliferous Asterism

"Maria, do you have to go?!" Huni cried, clinging onto Maria's leg.

"We'll miss you." Haruhi smiled.

"I'll miss you." Tamaki smiled.

"It'll be boring without you." The twins frowned.

"Be safe." Mori grunted.

"Our hospitals are just as good, why go to America?" Kyoya said under his breath, frowning.

"I feel loved." Maria's muffled voice hinted a smile. The mask she wore was itchy. She wanted to rip it off and kiss Tamaki's cheek. But she couldn't. She just waved and walked into the plane.

"Bye!!"

"Be safe!!"

"Send me pictures!!"

"You have Maria's phone number?!"

"Tamaki, you don't?!"

"Wow Tono. You've kissed her but you don't have her number."

"Oi!"

"We'll bake a cake together when you come back!"

"Bye butterfly!"

"Renge?! When did you get here?!"

"I was here five minutes ago!"

Stelliferous Asterism

A year later..

Maria sat on her hospital bed. It was New Years. She sent a text to Haruhi.

Maria: Haruhi!

Haruhi: Yeah?

Maria: I'll be coming home!

Haruhi: Really? When?!

Maria: Tomorrow, or in your time in two days

Haruhi: I can't wait to see you!

Maria: Me too <3

Haruhi: <3

Maria set down her phone, and sighed. She wanted to go now, but they needed one more check up. Her COPD has been getting better, and she rarely needed medicine. Her meds been put to a pause until her COPD suddenly goes back, which is not likely. She has an inhaler for 'just in case'. Maria smiled happily, and looked over out the window. The night sky was decorated by fireworks and cheers. She noticed a shooting star, and smiled. Maybe Tamaki's looking at the same one.

Maria stepped off her plane, a familiar scent rinsing her nose. Maria smiled happily. She no longer needed the mask too.

"Maria!!" Maria was suddenly glomped, somehow she didn't loose her balance.

"Tamaki!" Maria smiled.

"I missed you so much!" He cried. Maria turned and kissed him. It was a long sweet kiss. A kiss that would probably make the bystanders 'awe'.

"Tamaki, I love you."

"I love you too." Tamaki smiled.

"So, what did I miss?"

OUTRO ENDING-

Maria smiled, standing in front of the mic. Tamaki smiled back at her, he stood a few feet away with his own mic.

The music began playing.

"I saw the autumn leaves, peel up off the street. Take wing on the balmy breeze, and sweep you off your feet. And you blushed as they scooped you up, on sugar maple wings. To gaze down on the city below; Ablaze with wondrous things." Tamaki sang, looking at Maria.

Maria looked back, smiling wide. "Downy feathers kiss your face, and flutter everywhere. Reality is a lovely place; But I wouldn't wanna live there. I wouldn't wanna live there. Weighed down by heavy lids, and lunar lullabies. I knew you were wide awake, 'cause you smile with your eyes." Maria sang along, causing Tamaki to smile.

"Downy feathers kiss your face, and flutter everywhere. Reality is a lovely place, but I wouldn't wanna live there. From the green belt balcony, the wildfires look so pretty. Ponderosa canopy; I'd never leave if it were up to me." Tamaki sang.

"To the ruby redwood tree." Maria sang.

"And to the velvet climbing ivy." Tamaki followed.

"Painted all mahogany." Maria added.

"I'd never leave if it were up to me." They both sang harmony.

"If it were up to me." Maria background vocalized.

"With a starry brush, paint the dusk venetian blue. 'Cause in the evening hush; you'll never believe the view." Tamaki sang.

"And when the leaves return. And their whisperings fill the night. They'll freeze and burn. Where fire and ice collide; where fire and ice collide." Maria repeated softly.

"Can you feel a silk embrace." They both sang.

"In the satin air?" Maria hushed.

"If we dissolve without a trace, will the real world even care?" Tamaki sang.

"Downy feathers kiss your face." Maria sang.

"And flutter everywhere." Tamaki sang softly.

"Reality is a lovely place." Maria sang, outstretching her arm towards the crowd.

"But I wouldn't wanna live there." They both sang softly.

"I wouldn't wanna live there." Tamaki background vocalized.

"I saw the autumn leaves, peel up off the street. Take wing on the balmy breeze; And sweep you off your feet." They both sang together, smiling.
