Prologue

Maria shifted her long brown locks behind her back, then pushed a strand behind her ear. Her warm purple eyes shifted towards the midnight blue bow propped up on a box. Her hand stretched out towards the accessory, before picking it up. Her fingernails had midnight blue paint on them, and was decorated with carefully painted white stars. She smiled as she placed the bow on top of her head.

"Mistress?" Her maid, Lucy, called from the bathroom door.

"Hai?" Maria asked, examining her nails.

"Your father wishes to speak with you." Lucy informed, causing Maria to quickly open the bathroom door. She ran down the halls, causing Lucy to shout to be careful. Her long hair swished and danced behind her, and she jumped on the railing. Her black skirt was silk, causing her to slide down the railing more efficiently. Her smile was dazzling, and her eyes had a small twinkle.

Maria landed perfectly on two feet and glided down the halls in her socks.

"Father?" She asked, coming into his office. Her father, who had brown hair as well, and magnificent emerald eyes, had a smile plastered on his face. Maria bowed excitedly, and then grinned at her father's conscious excitement.

"Stand." Her father chuckled, and Maria immediately stood straight. "We have school to discuss."

Maria's eyes widened. "Did I get accepted?!" She squealed, bouncing up and down. Her father held a stoned expression, causing her to freeze with worry. "Did I...?"

Her father looked down, then said with a happy tone, "Yes."

Maria sparkled, and jumped into her father's arms. "I can't believe it!" She kissed his cheek, causing him to chuckle. She skipped out the office, and hummed happily. Her family castle was big, and she lived here all her life. The walls were a beautiful white, and the hallway floor was a white marble. It had a long silk carpet that was light pink stretching across each hallway. It had golden decor, like golden vases that were propped up on small wooden desks up against the wall, and golden framed family photos. It had golden stands that were nailed into the walls, that held a white candle that flamed blue.

"Ouran," Maria stopped skipping and pointed at the ceiling, "prepare yourself, 'cause I'm coming and I'm going to leave my mark!" She grinned.
