Asterism (pt 2)
Maria brushed off the feeling, and looked away. Tamaki felt a pain in his chest when she averted her attention elsewhere. Did he make her feel uncomfortable? He really hoped not. Was he not interesting enough? He wished not. Or was it that, he made the wrong move?
Chapter 5
Asterism (pt 2)
Hikaru and his twin sat down on either side of Maria, wrapping their arms around her. Maria bent her arms up and her hands softly touched both their arms. The twins looked at each other and blushed. They stubbornly denied the fact that they were flustered. Tamaki was too busy thanking Haruhi when she set the two tea cups down filled with coffee. When Tamaki looked over, he chocked on his coffee. "Y-You s-shady twins!" He shouted, rubbing the coffee drool off his cheek with his sleeve.
"Oh look Kaoru, a fake prince is calling us shady." Hikaru mused, snickering with his brother. Kaoru smirked and his hold on Maria tightened. "And she's making the princess uncomfortable." They snuggled their nose in the crook of her neck.
"I-Is that true, Maria?" Tamaki felt his heart sank. Was it true? Did Maria not like him anymore? What if she hates him now? What if she's disgusted by him? What if-
"Tamaki! Tamaki!" Maria called, yanking Tamaki back. Tamaki looked up slowly, to see Maria sandwiched between a set of 'shady' twins. Tamaki growled in a pretty pathetic way, but it was adorable. "Tamaki, Hikaru, Kaoru, why don't you do something for me?" Maria gave then probably the world's cutest look. Her eyes sparkled, and she titled her head. She had the famous cat like mouth.
The three boy were instantly in front of her and ready for action. Maria smiled wide. "Thank you for doing this.. But I forgot my bag in the maze in the courtyard outside. I'm really sorry, but I couldn't find it. Can you three look for it for me?" The three nodded and ran out the door in seconds.
Maria sweat dropped. She looked over at Haruhi was was talking to Kyoya. "Haruhi!" She called, waving. She patted the seat next to her. Haruhi sat down and tilted her head at Maria. "Where's Tamaki-senpai and the twins?" She asked.
"Oh you know, going on a wild goose chase." Maria giggled, pulling out her bag. It was like Haruhi's, but decorated with star stickers. Haruhi chuckled. "How long do you think they'll find out?" She asked, looking out the window to see Tamaki and the twins fighting about which way to go.
"When I tell them." Maria smirked. They giggled together, then Maria opened her bag. She took out a big pink bow with white stars on them. The bow was as big as both of Haruhi's fist. Maria placed the bow on top of Haruhi's head and nodded in triumph. "Haruhi, you look much prettier this way. But I respect your choice of clothing as well. Maybe just the bow?" Maria asked.
Haruhi looked at Maria. "Maria-san, did you knew I was a girl all this time?" Haruhi asked.
"Only when I first saw you, dear. I figured you were trans, but then I noticed if you were then you'd be much for flirty. Haruhi, don't worry. Your secret's safe with me." Both girls smiled at each other.
"Maria, can I ask you a question?" Haruhi asked.
"Sure."
"What got you into stars?" Haruhi asked. Maria thought for a moment.
"Well, when I was little, my mother always took me star gazing out in the country on the weekends. We would lay in the grass and watch the stars sparkle and dance for what it's worth. They shined so bright that I wanted to be just like them. Before my mother past away, she told me to never flicker out of light. I guess stars hold really fond memories." Maria smiled sadly, sparkles radiating off her.
The girls, who stood around them, awed. Some girls cried. Maria patted Haruhi's head and stood up. "I'll be on my way now. I'll see you tomorrow, Haruhi." Maria smiled and stepped out the door, her bag in hand. "And keep the bow!" She shouted.
Haruhi took off the bow and looked at it. It looked hand made.
