Asterism
As after school rolled around, Maria got a text from the Astronomy Club president. Club activities are from 6:00 to 8:00, when it's dark. Maria shrugged, understanding why. The stars are out by then, so they actually can do Astronomy like things. Maria got about an hour or so to waste until her ride was here, so she skipped around the halls.
She twirled around, and let's just say she looked beautiful. Perfect, elegant. "Close your tired eyes, relaxing them. Count from one to ten, and open them. All these heavy thoughts will try to weigh you down, but not this time." She sang, stretching her arm out. Suddenly a hand grasped her own, and a voice filled the empty halls.
Chapter 4
Asterism
"Way up in the air, you're finally free, and you can stay up there, right next to me. All this gravity will try to pull you down, but not this time." It was Tamaki, singing with her. They twirled, both hands clasped together.
"When the sun goes down, and the lights burn out, then it's time for you to shine. Brighter than the shooting star, so shine no matter where you are. Fill the darkest night, with a brilliant light, 'cause it's time for you to shine. Brighter than a shooting star, so shine no matter where you are, tonight." Who knew they sang perfectly together. Maria was twirled, and she grasped Tamaki's shoulders afterwards.
"Tamaki!" She giggled, hugging the boy. "I thought you were at your Host Club!" Maria smiled.
"I was on my way there, but you looked lonely, dancing here all by yourself. A princess needs a prince, y'know." Tamaki smiled. "I thought you were at your club as well." Tamaki added.
"Club activities start at 6:00 to 8:00 every Wednesday." Maria smiled. "It's Tuesday." She rested her head on his shoulder as they moved back and forth.
"Why don't you waste your time and stay at the Host Club. We can hang around after the Club is done. Hosting hours are only for 45 minutes." Tamaki grabbed her hand and pulled her towards the Host Club room.
"Music Room #3?" Maria asked, reading the sign. "I thought it was abandoned." She looked over at Tamaki.
"It's occupied." Tamaki smiled and opened the door. A blinding yellow light made Maria squint her eyes slightly. Rose petals flew past her, and her hair danced with them. It was beautiful. Maria's eyes widened, then shined. Tamaki looked over at Maria and smiled.
"Tono, you're late!" A set of ginger twins said monotonously.
"Sorry men, I had someone to attend to." Tamaki moved out of the way, to show Maria. She was too busy looking around to notice the Hosts.
"Oh look, it's that girl from before." The twins said, pointed towards her. She looked over and saw them. She immediately bounded towards them and pounced, hugging the two.
Tamaki's mouth fell open.
"I'm so sorry for running into you two! I doubted that Tamaki told you two my apology since it looked like he hated you two! You guys were probably late to the Club because of me!" Maria cried, burring her nose into the crook of one of their necks.
Tamaki was colorless.
The twins noticed this and grinned evilly. "It's okay, we forgive you. On one condition." Their smirk widened.
Tamaki was now panicking.
"A kiss on the cheek would be good." They said, causing Tamaki to choke and fall backwards slowly.
Maria giggled, then wrapped her arm around both their shoulders. She leaned forward, causing them to bend with her. She put their faces close together, then whispered something Tamaki couldn't hear.
"I like you two." She murmured, then pecked both their cheeks. Maria let go of the two and bounded away towards Kyoya to greet him. The twins blushed, and made eye contact with each other. They quickly averted their gaze, and looked downwards.
Tamaki laid on the floor, his soul seeping out of his mouth.
Maria skipped over to Kyoya. "Hello, Kyoya!" Maria smiled.
"Hello, Maria." Kyoya greeted, continue to type on his computer.
"I was wondering if I can sit in the cor-" Maria was cut off when Tamaki jumped in front of her.
"Maria wants to know if I can host her during the entire Hosting hours!" Tamaki sparkled.
"Ano.. I actually wasn't-" Maria was once again cut off when Tamaki slammed his fist on the table.
"Please mommy?!" He begged. Kyoya gave Tamaki a glare, but then sighed.
"I'll just cancel your appointments for today, and give the ladies their money back." Kyoya sighed, then began to type again.
"YAY!" Tamaki twirled around, then grabbed Maria's hand. They sat down together, Tamaki excitedly pushing her gently onto a pink couch. He sat down on the opposite couch, and told Haruhi, which was a short girl with a lighter chocolate brown hair than Maria's, to get 'commoner's coffee'. Haruhi murmured incoherent words, then stalked off towards the kitchen. Tamaki leaned forward and looked at Maria expectantly.
"Oh? Am I supposed to start the conversation?" Maria suddenly asked, pointed at herself.
Kyoya came up from behind Tamaki and pushed up his glasses. "Host Club King, because we lost our daily funding for the day, I expect you to treat Maria well, hai?"
"H-Hai!" Tamaki blushed in embarrassment. "S-So Maria, what is it like to be a girl?"
"That's a weird question to ask, Tamaki." Maria giggled. "What's it like to be a boy?"
Tamaki was flustered, but quickly shook it off. "It's perfect, because I can love you." Tamaki leaned in and caressed her cheek.
Maria giggled and gently took her hand and covered it with Tamaki's hand. She set both their hands down. "What if I was lesbian?" She asked.
Tamaki fell in surprise, banging his forehead on the coffee table in between them in the process. "N-Nani?!"
"I'm joking, Tamaki." Maria giggled, covering her mouth with her hand.
Tamaki reached out and grabbed her hand, then lowered it. "I want to see you smile." Tamaki blushed, staring to Maria's sparkling eyes.
Maria's cheeks tinted a pink, and her eyes widened. She was blushing. Her heart skipped a beat.
