A Duller Star
Maria sat down at her desk in the second year class, humming quietly as she took out her dark blue pencil. It was coated in white glitter, which she did herself. She was planning to join a club after school today, and she knew exactly what to choose.
The Astronomy Club.
She was excited. Astronomy was one of her favorite educational subjects, and she passed that unit in science with flying colors back in the first years of high school. She internally squealed, then regained her slouched posture. It was the first week of school, she wouldn't want to ruin it.
Chapter 2
A Duller Star
At the seat next to her, Tamaki sat talking to Kyoya. Kyoya was boring Tamaki with the Club's income. Tamaki turned his head to look elsewhere, when his eyes widened. A familiar color of chocolate brown hair and pale skin tainted with pink filled his vision. It was the girl from before. Sitting right next to him. Tamaki began to internally panic. He quickly turned to Kyoya and whispered harshly, "Kyoya! It's that girl from yesterday! She's sitting right next to me! What should I do?!" He panicked.
Kyoya gave him a look, then turned his head towards the girl who was scribbling stars on the cover of her black notebook. He sighed, but then got a good look of her. She had long hair, which reached to her waist. She had a small nose and rosy pink cheeks. Her lips were plump and had bright pink glittery lip gloss. That was the only makeup she wore. The uniform she wore was exactly like the rest of the girl's uniforms, but she looked way better in it. She pulled it off. She had a midnight blue bow which perched at the back of her head, and she had dark blue nails with white stars painted on them. Her eyes were a lavender, which made the flower look poor with color. She had long eyelashes, which were pitch black unlike her hair. Kyoya suddenly turned away, pink coating his cheeks. He was staring. Kyoya cleared his throat.
"Tamaki, if you'd like, we can invite her to the Host Club after school." Kyoya stated, causing Tamaki to stop panicking.
"You will?!" Tamaki asked excitedly.
"But you need to come with." Kyoya added. Tamaki sulked. They both got up, and stood in front of the girl. She looked up, and smiled a sweet smile. Tamaki's cheeks dusted a pink. "Hello, I'm Kyoya Ootori, the vice president and co-founder of the Host Club. This the President and founder of the Host Club, Tamaki Suoh." Kyoya introduced, causing the girl to look at Tamaki as well. Tamaki avoided eye contact. He was quite embarrassed.
Maria smiled and brought her hands up for them to shake. As the three of them shook hands, the boys realized how cold her hands were. It was somehow comforting. "Hello. I'm Maria Saki, and I was the founder of the Astronomy Club at my old school back in France." Once Tamaki heard about his country, he asked about it.
"Y-You came from France?" Tamaki asked, letting go of Maria's hand.
"Hai, I just moved to Japan a few weeks ago actually." She smiled.
"Maria, we came to ask you to come visit the Host Club after school today. We'd love to have you." Kyoya informed, pushing up his glasses.
"Oh! I'd love to, but I'm actually busy after school today. I'm sorry." Maria frowned. "I'm planning to join a club after school today, which means I'll be busy." Tamaki frowned. It would be lying if he said he was disappointed. Maria noticed Tamaki's disappointment and opened her mouth to speak, but the teacher walked in and told class to take out a sheet of paper to do some notes.
After school, Maria made her way to the office to fill out her Club forms. But on her way, she ran into a set of twins. She bumped into them while they ran through the halls, causing her to fall onto the floor. Both twins stopped and looked down at her.
"Oh look, a new princess." One of the twins said, examining her features.
"Hikaru, is she one of our clients?" Another asked. Hikaru shook his head. They both grabbed one of her arms and stood her up.
"Sorry I ran into you two. I wasn't looking where I was going." Maria apologized, bowing. She stood straight and looked over at the office door only a few picture frames down.
"It's okay, we weren't looking where we were going." The twins said simultaneously. Maria smiled. She then realized she had to be somewhere.
"Ah, gomen, but I have somewhere to be right now. Goodbye." Maria bowed again then quickly ran towards the office doors. "I hope to see you again!" She called, then walked through the office doors.
Maria walked up to the desk, and asked for a Club form. As she wrote down what she needed, she turned it in. As she walked out, she turned to the right and walked towards her locker. As she turned the locker combination, a voice made her slightly jump.
"So..." Maria turned around quickly to see Tamaki.
"Tamaki? What are you doing here?" Maria giggled.
Tamaki blushed and scratched the back of his neck. "It was after Club hours and I saw you walking out of the office."
"So you followed me?" Maria smirked playfully, causing Tamaki's face to turn completely red. What is she doing to him?
"N-No!" Tamaki squeaked, causing Maria to giggle again.
"Don't worry Tamaki, I don't mind if it's you." Maria began to take out her binders and such. Tamaki was completely nervous now. His hands slightly shook.
"So, Tamaki, how are you?" She asked, closing the locker door.
"I-I'm doing good! Fantastic!" Tamaki panicked.
Maria giggled and bopped Tamaki's nose with the tip of her pointer finger. "I like you, Tamaki. Please stay who you are." Maria frowned, but quickly smiled again. As the two walked down the hallway, they asked questions and such.
"So, you grew up in France?" Tamaki asked, looking at Maria who was slightly skipping.
"Hai, my father is completely French, while my mother is half Japanese, half Irish. My father met my mother when he was on vacation to Ireland. The two fell in love with each other at first sight. Years went by and.. they had me." She smiled and looked over at Tamaki. "I bumped into a set of twins after school today, do you know who those two are? I never had a chance to fully apologize." Maria asked, causing Tamaki to pause at her words.
"Twins? With ginger hair and a shady look?" Tamaki asked.
Maria giggled at his words. "Tamaki, you're funny. The two seemed really nice. So you know them?"
"All too well." Tamaki murmured angrily.
"Can you tell them that I am really sorry for running into them? I probably got them more late. They seemed rushed, running down the halls like that." Maria smiled.
"Sure, anything for you, princess." Tamaki knew he wasn't going to help Maria apologize to those evil molesters.
