I have returned! Thank you all for waiting and letting me spend some time to stress over my family and help taking care of them. I did spend as much time as I could working on these stories and I am so happy to be able to post chapters once again, so I hope you enjoy the chapters to come.
Draco Alis Volat Propriis...
"Are you sure they were asking for me specifically?" I asked Jack as I carefully placed the hat back onto its rightful place; my head. We were speeding our way back to the ship in order to deal with those that Jack has spoken about when he first met up with me, filled with worry.
He had said that there was a group of three who came up to the ship and asked to see the captain, which was me. But Jack was the one who spoke saying he was the captain, which is the lie that he says whenever I'm gone and in the towns to either gain information or am looking for some interesting trinkets. However, Jack told me that one of them knew that I was the true captain and then demanded to see me immediately. So, he panicked and rushed to me in order to sort this out.
"Aye," he answered with his deep accent, "knew your name he did. Never in my day did I ever expect for someone to know who you are, not many have seen your face."
"Seen my face and lived, you mean," I corrected the british male and gave a light smirk. It's a joke, and the truth; many that know is real. My crew understands why I want to hide my name and face from people...especially any royals, nobles, or dogs. The reason being secret to everyone but my own crew, after all, they deserve to know who they are serving under and who their ally is.
"Yes, but besides us all ya know..." He chuckled, "but this man seemed to know quite a fair bit about you (Y/n)."
I sighed, frustrated that I couldn't remember if someone here knows about me or an enemy that I let get away and knows my name and how I look....I mean yes of course people know of me but they know nothing about me. That's the only problem I'm dealing with right now.
"Guess we will only find out who it is once I get there," I silently muttered to myself.
After a few more minutes of running, we finally made it to the ports. We still were running despite us both being ragged from lack of breath. We pushed on till the dark wooded ship came into sight along with multiple figures silhouetted from the setting sun. Three of which stood out the most. Unlike my crew who were on guard and staring with hostile glares, they awkwardly stood off to the side with tense shoulders and wavering smiles. Though I couldn't exactly tell as their backs were to me.
Their clothes were able to help me identify them to some extent. The green haired one had on a white button up blouse covered by a green vest. He had gloved his hands, had dark navy pants and a saber sat at his hip. His most defining feature was the red shoes he wore.
The girl next to him had bob cut chestnut hair covered by a pink witch hat. A light rose dress with black boots and same colored tights covered her womanly features. A light red glove covered her right hand and in it held a wooden staff. On the top a blue stone sat as parts of the wood swirled around it.
The other, and last, stood on the left of the green haired male. His crimson hair spiked upward and had a similar colored scarf wrapped around his neck. His white vest was the only thing visible on his torso while a same colored fur lined armguard/glove covered his left forearm. A short bladed katana rested in the sheath on his white pants with a red robe over it, black boots covered his feet. I couldn't tell what their facial features are due to the dark lighting and having them face away from me.
Once me and Jack were close enough I set on an intimidating scowl and stomped over with my chest out and head held high. This was something I learned from my father, a way to input leadership and dominance to those under you. I never use it on others unless they were my enemies, or those threatening my comrades in arms.
"What in the bloody hell are you doing here?" I say in a venomous voice. Everyone, including the three, turned to face me, "you tailwaggers better ex-Kirishima?"
I glanced over to the red head in shock, now able to identify the shark toothed bandit. He just smiled and waved over to my wide eyed figure.
"Hey, (Y/n)! It's been a while, may we speak with you? I really need to ask a favor of you," the crimson eyed male bowed in a pleading way. The other two with him just gave awkward smiles. I sighed and facepalmed internally as I turned back to Jack with a 'really?' face. He just returned it with a questioning gaze.
I shook my head and turned back to my old acquaintance, "come, we will speak in my quarters."
I made my way to my office with the three newcomers in tow and sat down elegantly in the blue velvet chair of my desk. The three just stood on the other side and watched in the candle lantern lighting as I took off my hat, showing the top of my (h/c) head. I placed the feathered tricorne on the side of the desk and looked straight into the trio's eyes. I did this usually to visitors whom I had no clue of, it was just a way to get a read on the people before I do anything.
After a few moments of staring into the emerald eyes of the freckled boy, I moved onto the brown eyed female and continued to do the same. After a full minute I sighed and leaned back.
I scratched the side of my head in frustration, "explain to me why you're here Kirishima...the last time I saw you was three years ago at Musalie."
"Well..." the said male carried out, "we kinda need your help..."
"Uh-hu," I say sitting up, "in other words you need my ship. Also who are these two with you?"
"M-my name's Izuku Midoriya, ma'am!" The green haired boy stiffly stuttered out. His stance told me that he wasn't quite used to speaking to those high in power nor with an intimidating aura.
"And I'm Ochako Uraraka!" The bob cut said enthusiastically, "It's a pleasure to meet you miss (Y/n). We were actually wondering if you could help our party cross the seas to-"
"Hold it right there missy," I cut the bright aired girl off, "so you do just want my ship, and you have a party?"
Kirishima chuckled with a quirked smile, "well...yes, though it is true we have a party and need your ship, we also need you." I raised a brow in suspicion, not quite believing him, "i-it's true! You're the only one who knows the waters beyond Uvnise and the only one who can-!" He stopped to lean closer to me and whispered so that only we could hear. The other two just looked on with confusion. "You're the only one who can use high magic and not be part of a royal family! Plus there's a high reward for doing this.."
"How high of a reward?" I asked now filled with interest.
"Over six million zevnil," he said with a voice like he knew I couldn't resist the large sum of money. He backed away to his original spot and let me intake the information.
With shock and lust for gold I shouted, "what kind of quest are you daft idiots on for that kind of money?!"
"We're trying to stop the resurrection of Nox Malmum and the demons," Midoriya said with serious determination.
"I thought that story was nothing but a mere myth. A legend for children to behave or demons will take them from their parents," I say with doubt now in my mind.
"It's true," Midoriya replied with no hesitation, "within a few years Nox will be out of the gate and seize all life on Solrium, only to replace it with death. We are currently searching for the ten keys so that we may be able to seal him back in Malluma. If we don't, then most likely the world will entirely become a 'dead ocean'."
Those two things caught my attention and brought something—a memory—from my childhood days. The other, was something everyone knew of and was constantly warned about, "are you speaking of Solrium becoming one with Mortum Dalai?" He nodded, "and those 'keys'...you speak of the ten made purely of one element each?" Again he gave a nod, I sighed and grumbled out some of my frustration, "fine I'll help."
The three smiled brightly and Kirishima thanked me saying how he now owed me. Uraraka said that she and 'Deku' would go get the others to tell them the good news and be back by early morning, while Kirishima and I catch up for the time they are gone. I couldn't even argue as they were gone a second later.
I stood from my chair and walked over to Kirishima. I wacked the back of his head causing him sudden pain and surprise, "you fool! Explain to me what is really going on you ignorant dragon!"
"Sorry," he chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck, "while it's true about the quest we are going on...we couldn't get someone to willingly cross the unknown sea with us...so I mentioned I knew someone who could take us and ah...my rider kinda, forced me to tell them your name..." I scowled as a bloodlust aura surrounded my figure.
"We had a deal...you promised to never tell a soul about me and my magic..."
"I-I know!" He stuttered out, "it's just that I can't ignore a demand made from my partner!!"
"I know that," I suddenly say with a normal tone, dark aura and scowl gone. "Just next time warn me, 'kay dragon boy?"
"A-alright..."
