"You guys don't have to come with me for this," Perfida said to her friends, they were walking behind her as they headed to Pena's apartment to see her and Ricky to break the news about Void the following day. She was nervous to deal with it alone but to her, it would be better that way than having her friends involved.

"Don't be silly, Peachy," March said back. "We're gonna do this together."

"Yes, we got your back, remember?" Vance added.

"Thanks but are you guys sure about this?" Perfida asked.

"No," Leyo bluntly answered. "But we're not gonna let you face it by yourself". Perfida could feel her palms was sweating and could hardly breathe but after hearing her friends were beside, it gave her strength to talk to Pena and Ricky.

"A demon?" Pena shook, Perfida nodded as she explained to her what went wrong yesterday in the VR park, Void was back in his hospice bed with the VR helmet on his head. "But my brother is fine, right?"

"Yes, he's okay," Perfida replied

"How the hell did a demon get mixed up in this?" Ricky asked who was also just as appalled.

"It's sort... my fault, really." Perfida took the blame instead.

"But it's gone now so... it's not gonna bother us," Vance assured them.

"Great," Pena sighed in relief then asked the dreadful question "so when can we try it again? everything is alright now and we can continue on getting my brother back?"

"No, we can't," Perfida hesitantly replied.

"What?" Ricky was taken aback by that.

"You can't? what do you mean you can't?" Pena began feeling afflicted. "Is there another malfunction or something broke? because Ricky can fix it, right, Ricky? we have to try?" Ricky had no idea what to answer her and was not thrilled about it too yet he was untroubled unlike Pena.

"Pena, Noah said that the machine is just what's making him alive but other than that, there's nothing... we can do," Leyo explained.

"NO! we have to try, WE HAVE TO!!" she slammed her hand on the coffee table that was when the soulpadres jolted in silence, now they could see what Ricky was talking about. "Why don't you want to help me get my brother back?" she weeped.

"Pena, calm down," Ricky told her.

"You, shut up! this all your fault!" she snarled at Ricky then turned to Perfida. "And you, I trusted you! you told me to give it a chance and I did and in the end, this is all some big joke to you?!"

"Look, I'm sorry..." Perfida apologized. "I really am, I didn't mean to mess with your feelings like that I thought... it could work too, I should've known better."

"We all did," Vance interjected.

"Void made it sound that he had it all figured out so I..."

"So it's his fault now! ugh! you stupid teenage bitch!" all of a sudden Pena attacked Perfida by pulling her hair and slapping her. "You think it's funny? you think it's funny? now who's lauging now?!"

The boys were struggling to stop Pena but she was too furious and suprisingly strong "stop! you're gonna hurt her,"Ricky managed to pull her away from Perfida.

"I'm okay, I'm okay," Perfida claimed, she was panting from Pena's outburst that her face were covered with bruises and her hair bun was a wreck.

"And how do you think I feel, Ricky?" Pena groaned. "All of you! I feel like you all made a fool out of me!" she cried right after and was on her knees, screaming, wailing in sadness that she couldn't be with her brother like she had wished for.

Everyone feel for Pena, she was in utter pain, "Pena, I feel awful, I don't know what else to say or do to make this all go away..." Perfida apologized again.

"THEN LEAVE, GO!" Pena shrieked. "GO!"

Ricky accompanied the kids out before things gets any worse, "let's go, let's go," he urged them.

"YOU'RE GONNA PAY FOR THIS! YOU HEAR ME? YOU'RE ALL GONNA PAY!" she bawled. Once they left, Pena shrieked and threw everything that was in her living room.

The Soulpadres and Ricky could still hear the ruckus from the farthest part of the hallway from Pena's unit "you okay? do you want to go to the hospital?" Vance asked pointing out the bruises in Perfida's face.

"I'm good except that is by far the worst thing I did to anyone, I feel terrible," Perfida sighed.

"Hey, you didn't mean to hurt her," Ricky comforted her.

"Ricky, aren't you mad at me that I had to drag you all the way here for... nothing apparently?"

"I'd be lying if I say I'm not but I learn for the longest time is to not expect too much."

"I never seen anyone so angry," March expressed.

"I understand where she's coming from," Perfida said.

"Me too," Ricky respond.

"What do you think she's gonna do next?" March asked with a worried expression. "Since you told us what she did to you".

"I don't know, right now, let's get out of here."

Perfida was back home, she told her grandfather and her sister what happened "she still has no right to hit you," Archie said in anger while cleaning her granddaughter's wounds in her face. "That woman should be lock up."

"Papoli, no, it's just gonna make things worse," Perfida moaned.

"Not reporting her won't make it any better, Peachy, look at what she did to you."

"Yeah, Peachy," Perdita agreed with her grandfather. "You don't know what Pena is capable of after Void's death."

"She's depressed," Perfida pointed out to them.

"That's no excuse," Archie argued.

"And what are going to say? that she did this because I told her that her vegetative brother told me that he can return to his body? even Hawkes can't arrest her for that."

Archie could see her reason yet was still irate that someone hurt his granddaughter, "well... she's not gonna get away with this".

"Guys, guys, I'm okay, let's just forget about this, we'll figure this out our next move soon and what's the worse thing she could do anyway?"

Later at night in Pena's place, her mental outburst was over and was sitting on the floor with a numb expression yet her eyes sore from all the crying. Now anger boils inside her "you put me through, you pushed me to my limit," she growled. "Now, I will get you back for it". The helmet started to light up, Pena reached for her tablet, she went straight to the message box in AresDaily website then started typing.

'This lunatic seventeen-year-old girl claims that she can see ghosts, she came to me saying that my vegetative state brother talks to her in spirit and that he wants to return to his body, what a joke, right? her name Perfida Sweeney'

She found a picture of Perfida from social media and found one that she definitely could use, it was an image of her with Ophelia since she was a well-known scientists in Ares city, "oh! how interesting, she's the daughter of the astronomer, Dr. Ophelia Sweeney-Rudero, I told you you'll pay," she started uploading the photo in AresDaily with put out an evil grin. Once she pressed the send button, the screen glitched. Unbeknownst to Pena, it was Void doing the glitching in her tablet, she tried sending it again yet it couldn't go through that she got enraged once more that screamed on top of her lungs.

The next morning, Pena did not sleep the whole night like she waited the sun to rise, she was very much numb from crying all night. After that, got up from the couch and approached her brother "if I can't have you here then maybe I'll just go with you," she stated then walked away that the helmet lit up again.

Perfida was still asleep, she was awakened when her phone rang "what the...?" she rubed her eyes and answered the call.

"Per... Per..." it was Void calling out to her but it had this static sound, it was audible at first. "Perfida."

"Peachy, what's up?" Perdita appeared beside Perfida.

"I don't know... Void?" she recognized the voice. "Void, Is that you?."

"Yes?" Void's audio eventually got clearer.

"How are you doing this?" Perdita asked.

"Not important. Listen to me, you need to get here in Pena's unit."

"Why?" Perfida quipped.

"She's... she's... she's... gonna, hurt herself... just... to be... with me..." he told her, Perfida's eyes popped out. "Please, help her. Stop her."

"Oh! my crapolai!" Perfida reacted the immediately got up the bed. She got inside a RodeCar on her way to Pena's apartment as she called her friends and Ricky "guys, I'm on my way to Pena's place. Listen to me, I think... she's gonna kill herself."

"What!?" March gobsmacked.

"Shit! I'll be there," Vance replied.

"Me too," Leyo said.

Once she got to the building, Perfida ran with Perdita to the corridors while on the phone with Hawkes "yeah, Void said she might kill herself," she called.

"Find her, I'm on my way there," Hawkes told her.

"I hope we're not too late," Perdita said.

Perfida got to the door and started banging "Pena! Pena!" she shouted. She tried opening it but it was locked from the inside. "Purdy, can you... check her?"

"Okay," Perdita went through the door, she looked around but no one was home, only Void's vegetative body with the VR helmet on his head, the light was blinking. "Void, where is Pena?"

"Purdy, is she there? is she... okay?" Perfida yelled and was panic-stricken.

Perdita got out and told her sister "she's not here but Void told me where she is."

The twins went to an old indoor parking lot, it was empty, no one was there not even a single vehicle "where is she?" Perfida searched around the place.

"Peachy! look up."

Perfida put her head and that was she saw Pena by the rails about twelve floors up "Fuck!" then she found an elevator to get to her. "Come on, come on," she pressed the button multiple times. Fortunately, it arrived so the twins went inside.

Meanwhile, Pena was crying as she was about to prepare to say her farewell to the world, she was willing yet hesitant since she knew she was going to have a hard fall. "I can do this, I'm coming, Void."

Pena closed her eyes and leaned forward slowly, she could feel the breeze from the movement until all of a sudden, "Pena, don't!" Perfida caught right in time by grabbing her by the waist then pulled her away from the rails.

After saving Pena from the biggest mistake she could ever made, Pena turned around and pushed Perfida "what the hell do you think you're doing!? and how do you know I'm here?"

"Void told me."

"You're lying!"

"Say what you want to say but I am gonna stop you from dying even. Pena, this isn't the way, I know you're sad but don't ever do that."

"Leave me alone!" Pena then went her way to the rails again.

"No! I won't let you," Perfida tugged her arms to keep her away from killing herself. Perdita saw that the three boys and Hawkes arrived from through the rails facing the other way.

"Don't you get it?!"

"I'm all alone, I have no one," Pena rushed to the rails once more, Perfida pulled her away but they ended up wrangling each other that one of them could fall.

Hawkes and the three boys thought they Perfida and Pena was in the unit, they stood by the door that was locked "stay back," Hawkes said, the boys gave him space because he kicked the door open.

"Wow!" Leyo was impressed of the power of that kick.

"Pena? Perfida?" everyone called out their names and looked around.

"No one is here, except him," Vance said.

"Then where are they?" Hawkes huffed.

"Guys! look at this," March saw Pena's tablet that was on with the draft that she was about to post in AresDaily. "She could ruin Perfida's life with this."

"Ricky is right, she lost her marbles after Void's death," Vance expressed.

Perdita appeared in the room "Perdita, where's your sister and Pena?" Hawkes asked.

"They're kinda fighting right now," she said. "She's in an old parking space."

"Old parking space? where is that?"

"I can take you there but we have to hurry."

"I'll go get Perfida," Hawkes left out the room quickly with Perdita leading him.

"Wait, where are you...?" Vance yelled out but then the helmet lit up.

Back in the parking lot, the two were still at it, wrestling each other to either be pulled or pulled away "why don't you just let me be!?" Pena the shoved Perfida so hard that she went over the rails screaming. Pena was in disbelief and distraught at what she did to a teenage girl.
