The End?

It was night time, and Gussie was relaxing in his room. He was staring up to his ceiling as he looked back at the incident then all of a sudden, there was knock on the door. "Come in," he said.

It was Ram, he let himself inside with a folder in his hand. "Hey, son."

"Dad? hey." The young man got up.

"You okay?"

"Yeah, yeah, Dad. Do you need anything?"

"Not really, just checking up on you," Ram replied then sat beside him on the bed then released a heavy sigh, and gave him the folder. "You might want to check this out."

"What's this?" Gussie asked.

"Open it."

The young man pulled out a booklet of a school, "Ares City College of Business," he read the cover.

"I thought maybe you're interested in going to a school in the city. They offer M.B.A too."

Gussie began browsing the booklet, and he looked impressed. "It's stellar. Thanks, Dad. I'll look into this."

"Anyway, I came here to talk to you," Ram added.

"Let me guess, Mom sent you here?" Gussie snickered.

"Yes," the father admitted reluctantly. "But I really want to do this, and I should have done it a long time too."

"Dad, Dad, it's okay... you don't have..."

"No, son. Just let me do this. I've been horrible to you, and you don't deserve it," Ram voiced his flaws while Gussie listened, and could see his sincerity as he spoke. "You know, Archie didn't get along with his son, and the sad part about it, they could never fix anything between them. That's not gonna happen with us."

"I don't want that too."

Lexi was in the room with them, and watched the father and son finally reconciled. She was smiling that her boyfriend could live a happier life moving forward even if it meant living without her.

------

Meanwhile, in the boys' room. Leyo was in the bathroom to shower, and the other two were just going about their business. Vance was on his phone to message his boyfriend, and March just lying on his bed.

Their beds were few feet about from each other. They subtly took a glance at one another, and looked away. However after a five second of awkward silence, Vance had enough, that he stood up from his bed then sat on March's bedside, "okay, what's up?" he confronted.

"Excuse me?" March's brow furrowed.

"You've been acting weird lately."

"What are you talking about? Weird how?"

"Oh, just drop it. You've been avoiding me, and the only time we talk if Leyo, Perfida, Gussie, or Koru were around, so... what's up with that?" Vance questioned him.

March got tongue tied, and felt that he was trapped since he could not talk his way out it, "I'm sorry," he apologized.

"I'm not mad, I just wanna know if I did something wrong or...?"

"No... it's not like that..."

"Then what?"

"I'm just having problems, that's all."

"Like what?" Vance urged him to get to the point. "Just tell me."

"It's..." March gazed at his crush's worried yet annoyed face. "It's about my Dad."

"Your Dad?"

"He's just so... infuriating. He comments everytime he sees something that's... not 'masculine'." March began explaining. "Whenever I see you, and your family... and your... relationship with your... boyfriend, I get jealous. I wish I have parents who's at least are half as supportive as yours. And now, Mr. French is starting to be a father than mine."

Vance became sympathetic. "I'm sorry."

"No, I'm sorry about how I acted to you these past days. I shouldn't have taken it out on you from how I felt about my Dad."

"Hey, I get it. But if you have a problem, you can always talk to me about it too. We're friends, I know we've known each other for just a short time, but we've been through some weird stuff together in just one summer."

"I know. Again, I'm sorry."

"It's okay." Vance gave his friend a hug not knowing that all he said to him were lies. "But the next time there's something bothering you, just tell me about it. Okay?"

"Okay, you too."

"Thanks, anything else you want to tell me?"

March could feel sweats behind his ears. "Nope."

"Alright then. I guess we're okay now."

"Yup, thanks for talking it out."

"Anytime." Vance went back to sit on his own bed then looked at his phone again and he had this disturbed expression. "Oh, shit."

"What?"

"We need to find Perfida."

-----

Later, Perfida was by the balcony with her sister, and watched the staff cleaning up from a party earlier. "I can't wait to see Mom," she said.

"Me too," Perdita replied. "But not the other two."

"You mean Dad and Holden?"

"Yes, them. If we're lucky, they got into a car crash, and those two died."

"Oh, Purdy," Perfida snickered. "You and your jokes."

"Just saying, I'm just happy that you didn't die," the ghost twin added.

"That's very nice of you to say."

"Excuse me." An man in his sixties wearing the manager's uniform approached the teenage girl.

"Yes, can I help you?" Perfida responded then read his name tag. "Mr. Dwyer"

"It's getting cold out here, don't you want to go inside?"

"Thanks, but I'm good."

"Perfida?" Gussie came to her with Lexi following him like shadow. However, the ghost girlfriend's eyes widened which Perdita noticed.

"Hey, Gussie," Perfida said to him.

"Who were you talking to?"

"Your manager," she answered and even pointed to the man.

"Uhm... Perfida," Lexi gestured to her to turn around.

The psychic looked over her shoulder, and was surprised that the manager was not there with her while her twin sister knew what was going on. "That's odd, he was hear a second ago."

Gussie looked at her in a weird way. "Who was it, by the way?"

"On his tag, it says Mr. Dwyer," Perfida told him. The guy became frozen in shock with his eyes popped out, and he became pale. "You okay? what's wrong?"

"I don't know how to tell you this, but Mr. Dwyer passed away last year." Gussie broke the news to her.

"Say what now?" the girl gulped since she became shock and pale as well, and realized she saw a ghost. "I missed it again."

"Hold on... you can see ghosts?"

Perfida got stumped from word vomitting about her gift. "Uhm... no."

"Oh, yeah? how'd you know the name then?" Gussie interrogated.

"I..... have no good answer."

"Yeah, I thought so," he chuckled yet he was impressed at the same time. "So you can see ghosts?"

"Yes," Perfida admitted hesitantly. "I know, it's weird."

"Well, maybe, but it's not like I don't believe it."

"You do?"

"There have been weird and unexplained things happening here in the resort sometimes but not that I'm scared and all," he mentioned while the young psychic was glad that his reaction was not was she expected. "So if you can see ghosts? can you see Lexi?"

"I..." Before Perfida answer, she glanced over to his girlfriend's spirit, and she was shaking her head.

"Please, please, don't tell him I'm here," Lexi pleaded. "Just don't."

Perfida shifted back to Gussie. "No, I don't," she fibbed then saw the poor guy looked disappointed. "But... I can try, if you want."

"No, don't worry about it," he told her with this crack in his voice. "I'm just wondering, that's all."

"Are you sure?"

"Perfida! don't encourage him!" Lexi scolded.

"Yeah, I'm sure," he insisted. "Thanks anyway."

A bellboy went to them. "Mr. French, sorry to bother you, but your mother needs you in the office."

"I'll talk to you again later," Gussie said to Perfida then walked away then waited that he was farther away.

The confused psychic darted to Lexi. "What was that? Why don't you want Gussie to know that you're here?"

"He's doing so well," the ghosts answered. "I don't want to ruin that because his girlfriend's spirit lingered around him."

"Good point. It's like a weight lifted from his shoulder."

"Thanks to you," Lexi said. All of a sudden, there was a bright light appearing behind her so she turned around. "What's that?"

"It's the light," Perdita answered.

"It means you're ready to go," Perfida added.

"It's so pretty." Lexi admired. "What should I do?"

"Just walked to it."

"And then what happened?"

Perfida shrugged. "I don't know, maybe something amazing."

"I see my Mom and my Nana, they want me to be there." Lexi simpered to see her loved ones.

"Then go to them," Perdita told her by encouraging her.

"But what about you? Don't you want to go there too?"

"Someday. Go, they're waiting for you."

Lexi just smiled, and nodded then walked to the light. After that, it disappeared with her. "She's annoying, but I'm gonna miss her," Perdita claimed while her sister just rolled her eyes and shook her head.

"Hey, Peach!" Vance ran to her once he got to her.

"Vance, what's wrong?" Perfida asked him.

"I... did something happened here?" He could feel that the atmosphere was different from where he was standing.

"You could say that, Lexi just crossover."

"Stellar, but anyway there's something you need to know."

"What is it?"

"I got curious about the wagan, and what they did to the insurgency," Vance rambled.

"Yeah..."

"Then you said that they said saa maa."

"Yeah, saa maa. That's what I heard," Perfida confirmed. "And Koru said it means take care."

"Here's the thing, I think Koru needs to recheck his mother language."

"So he translated it wrong?"

"It is an old language, so looked into it online." Vance showed her his phone with the word, and it's translation. "Saa Maa doesn't mean 'take care', it actually means 'we'll take care of them'."

It was Perfida's turn to feel goosebumps, even her ghost twin reacted the same way. "Take care of them? take care of them how?" she asked in a shakey tone.

Vance just looked straight into her eyes, and shrugged in response.
