Chapter 12

Lucy's POV

  Standing in the middle of the arena infront of a crazy looking red haired chick while being watched by thousand pairs of eyes isn't what i imagined my day would be. Why did i have to be first?

  "You have 30 minutes to battle. The first one to surrender or be defeated, loses. Remember, we are not responsible for any injuries or death. Are the rules clear?" I shuddered at his statement. There is goes again. They kept on mentioning about not being at fault by the possible deaths. Is it possible they know that something will happen?

  "Yes." Me and my opponent said, glaring at each other. I don't know her magic, a reason i can't underestimate her. What more, she's from Raven Tail. Then there's Gray. I may not have watch it, but i knew something fishy happened. I can't let them get away with it.

  "Alright then. You may now... BEGIN!" The timer started while the audience went wild, probably anticipating some action. I wanted this to end immediately. I can't be exposed in the public's eye for a long period of time. We still have almost no information about thise murderers. Not wanting any more time, i initiated the first move. Pulling out a key from my belt, i summoned my first spirit.

  "Open! Gate of the Golden Bull! Taurus!" The big bull spirit emerged from his gate with a confident smirk on his features. I sent him a nod which he immediately understood. He let out a battle cry as he quickly slashed his two bladed axe in a horizontal pattern towards Flare. The red head saw it coming, dodged the attack almost effortlessly.

  "You have to do better than that, Blondie." I can't help but surpass a shiver at the almost sadistic smile she has on. This girl surely gives me the creeps.

  "Open! Gate of the Scorpion, Scorpio!" The mentioned spirit appeared beside me, crossing his arms being cool and calm. I can hear gasps from the crowd and anticipators. I'm sure. They didn't expect this from me.

  "Two Zodiac spirits at once?! That's amazing!" One of the announcers exclaimed, clutching his wig, afraid that it might fall off due to excitement.

  "That is truly something. Not many Celestial Mages can do that. Multiple summoning takes a lot of magic." i can't hide the proud smile that was playing on my lips when Yajima complimented my skills.

  "Scorpio, please?" I gestured to the crazy chick infront of us. The scorpion spirit grinned and nodded, getting what i wanted to tell him.

  "Sand Buster!" sand was in his full control as he attacked Flare with it. Unfortunately, she decided to finally expose her magic and blocked it. She manipulated her long hair, creating a shield to protect herself from the attack. She uses Hair Magic? Well, that's interesting.

  "Taurus! Scorpio! Do it now!" The two zodiac spirits nodded and went to stance, the one we were practicing for quite some time now. Taurus' axe started absorbing Scorpio's sand, completely wrapping it with it. The audience cheered while my bull spirit charged at Flare.

  "Sandstorm Axe Aldebaran!" The Raven Tail member was sent flying with tornadoes of sand by Taurus. Satisfied, i closed both of their gates. While she was mid air, she finally launched her first attack.

  "Hair Shower: Wolf Fang!" Her blazing red hair turned to a huge wolf, sending it my way. I smirked, pulling out another golden key. Once the wolf was close enough, i swiped the key and summoned it's spirit.

"Open! Gate of the Giant Crab, Cancer!" I watched as he effortlessly cut the hair. I cheered and thanked him, allowing him to disappear from sight.

  "My hair.. My long beautiful hair! You're going to pay, Blondie!" My head snapped towards her direction as she snarled at me angrily. I watched in confusion as she send her hair underground. Why would she do that? Unless she's going to attack me fr-

  "Kyaaaa!" I had little time to react when i was suddenly pulled into the air by my feet.

  "I can move my hair as i wish. Are you scared now, Blondie?" I groaned when she smacked me into the ground, hard. Her magic is sure annoying. Tch. She wants to play? Bring it! Pulling out my Fleuve D'Étoiles, i flipped my wrist and wrapped the end on my enemy's wrist.

  "I can also move this around as i wish!" I pulled the whip, the same time she pulled her hair. We were both send spinning in the air, screaming in pain. Once on the ground, i groaned loudly, removing my surprisingly burned boots.

  "Tch. And i really like this boots.." i mumbled more to myself, throwing it to the side. I don't know why but she started to snap after i said that.

  "How'd you like that, Blondie? My hair can also produce fire." She grinned sadistically at me. Geez, can she get any creepier?

  "Don't brag too much, Flare. I've experience hotter flames than that. Natsu's fire is twice hotter than your's, thrice if he's serious." Rolling my eyes at her, i effortlessly stood up just to prove my point.

  "Damn right, woman!" I chuckled, hearing Natsu shout from our team's balcony. His actions caused laughters from the expectators and audience.

  "W-What? How could that b-be possible?" She stuttered. Grinning, i flicked my wrist, with that small movement, the end of my whip flew towards her. Despite in shock, she was able to react fast and block it. Once again, she sent her hair underground. Full alert, i cautiously looked around, trying to figure out where it will appear.

  "You're aiming for my feet again?" I said, glaring at her as i did so. My heated stare immediately turned to confusion when she tilted her head, her index finger pointing to the left. Was she trying to tell me something? Curious, i glanced at the direction. She was pointing at Fairy Tail's balcony. I arched an eyebrow, still confused on what she was trying to do. That was until i realized something. All colors on my face drained when i saw strands of red hair on Asuka's side. God, this is bad!

  "Asu-" my words was left unfinished when bundles of her hair raged towards me, successfully covering half of my face. I grunted in pain when she threw me on the ground, hard.

  "Don't you dare say a word, Blondie. Or do you want that little Fairy dead in a snap? Do you understand?" Glaring, i nodded. The redhead snickered, continuously whipping me with her burning hair. Still, it wasn't that hot. I mean, i fought side by side with a freakin' Fire Dragon Slayer who uses REAL fire. This is nothing compare to his.

  "How does it feel, Fairy?!" She taunted, momentarily stopping in assaulting with her hair. Smirking, i sat up and gave her a sweet smile.

  "Warm." I mocked, earning a scowl from her. In a snap, both my legs and feet were wrapped by her hair. She lifted me in the air, holding me firmly in place. Did i make her mad? Well, someone can't handle a little tease.

  "I thought i made it clear that you're not allowed to talk? I'll punish you for that. Hmmm, what should i do with you?" I can only glare in annoyance as she taunted me. I wouldn't be in this situation if she didn't cheat!

  "Should i strip you naked?" She cackled, earning a sound of disgust from me. Like hell i'll let her!

  "Oh, maybe i'll mark you with Raven Tail's insignia!" Oh, Stars! No way in hell!

I was supposed to update yesterday but i fell asleep early! Really sorry for the delayed update, minna! School is stressing me out! I really miss summer vacation!! >____<
