It all started on a Monday morning. The pale white sunlight creeped in through the deep red curtains, and beautiful birdsong filled the sky as Stella Mayweather arose from her lemon-yellow bed. Her hair was pastel-pink, mint green and lilac and put into a messy topknot. Stella rubbed her emerald-green eyes, stood up and got ready.

She got out of her black loose crop top, red shorts and unicorn slippers to change into her blue and purple tie-dye dress, black tights, green Vans and a denim jacket. It was a chilly day, everything was covered in a thin blanket of snow and the crisp blue sky shone above the frosty cold morning. Stella walked to her local school, Dartfordshire Comprehensive with her best friends, Zoë and Lana.

Zoë had jaw-length coal-black hair, with tanned skin and chocolate-brown eyes. That day, she was wearing a cherry-red tight crop top with lace sleeves, denim shorts and purple Converse.

Lana had waist-length blonde hair put into a French braid, silver grey eyes and porridge-coloured skin. She was wearing a button-down navy blue shirt, denim shorts, multi-coloured long socks, platform sneakers and a red flannel jacket around her waist.

When the girls reached the hallway, Stella said, "Go without me, I need to do something in the library."

"Ok, Stella." Lana said.

"We'll be in the Maths room with Mr Cornfield if you need us." Zoe reminded Stella.
