Chapter Two: Taking on the Wild Child

Eva stood next to her father, her short gray hair gently blowing in the night breeze. Her dull eyes looking back at the scythe and female Miester. A hand fell upon her head and ruffled her hair.

"Come now Eva, let your papa have a little fun with Lord Death's students. You can join me if you want to." Stain continued to ruffle his daughter's hair, trying to convince her to let him play.

Eva gave a heavy sigh and then elbowed her papa in the gut.

"Fine, but only because I know they won't leave until they get what they came..." Eva suddenly pushed her father's chair, sending him rolling as a blue blur crashed down from the roof.

Coming out of the smoke and the rubble was a spiky blue haired boy with a star tattoo on his shoulder and was wearing an assassins outfit.

"What's up with all the damn chatter? Who cares if the crack pot doctor has a brat! It makes no difference because I'm the star of this show!!" He started to laugh to the point that it was getting annoying.

"You're the one who woke me up in the first place and I can tell by your soul wavelength that you're a terribly self-absorbed soul that only thinks about himself. I'll be really surprise if there's a partner to suit a soul like yours." An evil grin broke out across Eva's face. "Alright papa, I'll join you in your little game. But, I want the wild child over there."

"Alright...shall we get started then?"

While Stein focused on the scythe welding Miester, Eva went up against the spiky haired boy who was still blabbing about how great he was. She picked up a small rock and threw it at the back of his head.

"Ow!! Damn it you little...! What was that for?!"

"If you have to ask something like that than you must have been dropped on your head or something when you were a baby. I did it to get your attention you damn idiot. "An irritated mark start to throb on the side of her head. "I like to know the name of the one I'm about to fight. So, what's your name?"

"The names Black Star and I'm the one who's going to surpass God!!"

"Well, Black Star, are you going to keep on blabbing all day or are we going to fight, because it seems like papa is having fun with your friend over there and I'm tired after a long a day in the lab. So, let's get started.

Eva's speed was an equal match to Black Star's. Not to mention that her physical strength was nothing to take lightly. She started dodging Black Star's attacks left and right while getting in a few herself by using a small portion of her soul wavelength like her father. Suddenly, in the middle of their battle, Black Star stopped dead in his tracks.

"What the hell is this little girl?" Black Star's voice seemed irritated and cooled.

"What do you mean? We're fighting!" Eva was confused. What could this idiot possibly mean?

"Your holding back on me. You're not using your full strength. Do you think I'm not good enough? Not worth your time for you to go full out against me?" Black Star snapped.

"What are you talking about?! I'm not holding anything back!" Eva also snapped.

Black Star was still standing dead still in front of Eva. Then she noticed something strange about the figure that was standing in front of her.

"That's not Black Star!?! Where the hell is he?!" Eva franticly looked around to find Black Star. She looked behind her to see her papa holding the female Miester by one of her pig-tails and Black Star quickly coming up behind him.

"Papa!!"

Eva quickly rushed over to get in between her papa and Black Star. But was she going to make it in time?

Black Star's soul wavelength was so powerful that it kicked up a giant dust cloud around them. Once the dust cloud settled around them standing in between Stein and Black Star was Eva with a pink soul wavelength shield around her and Stein.

"Sorry about that papa, he got away from me all of a sudden, and you Black Star, all because I wasn't showing you everything I can do so you went after my papa. Sorry, but I don't take to kindly to those who do that!" Eva's anger started to get the best of her. She doesn't like it when people mess with her family. She took the death of her mother really hard, Stein was all she had left.

Eva pushed Black Star back. Grabbing a hold of his face Eva shot her soul wavelength into him. Before Black Star could fall back Eva grabbed his shirt and threw him at the other weapon that had a hold of Sid.

"You're his partner right?" Eva looked over at the long black haired girl.

"Yeah..." Her voice was timid and shaky.

"My advice to you, get a new partner. He's no good for you in your quest to become a Death Scythe. Just keep that in mind."

"You're wrong!! Sure, Black Star may be a bit self-centered sometimes...but he's a great partner!!"

Eva's battle with Black Star was over, the only battle left was Stein's. The girl that Stein was fighting was his old weapon partner's daughter, Maka Albarn. She had a terrified look on her face as her gaze went from Eva to Stein. Stein's soul wavelength was extremely large and overwhelming.

"My little Eva can be a bit brutal sometimes, but she really is a nice girl when you get to know her."

"You really are a bastard Stein. You can't fight your own battles, so you have your daughter fight them for you!?!" Maka's weapon partner Soul "Eater" Evans yelled looking over at his friend lying on the ground.

"Wow, hold on there, Eva could have easily said no and head back off to bed. She decided on her own to stay. Your friend Black Star there is the one who underestimated her."

"Whatever. Come on Maka, let's get this bastard!' Soul looked back to see his Miester shaking in fear. "Maka, what's wrong with you?!"

"There's no waySoul...there's no way we can win. His soul wavelength is to strong. There'sno way we can win!!!"
