Chapter 5

Tim nodded and led Adam to the dining hall. Adam looked down and noticed that his fingers were entwined with his. "Uh, Tim?" He says, still trying hard to keep up with him. "Yeah?" Tim says over his shoulder. "You can, uh, let go of my hand now." Adam says with a bit of blush. Tim chuckled and pulled him to his side. "It's to show everyone that you're with me. That way, they won't dare lay a finger on you even when I'm not around." Tim says softly. "Alright." He says quietly.

Being the newcomer, everybody's eyes were fixated on him and Foust curiously. "Why, why are they looking at me like I'm a scantily clad hooker?" Adam whispers as he sat across from Tim. "Adam, a nun could walk in here and they'd look at her just the same because that's the closest thing they can get to sex." "But don't they fool around with each other?" Tim shrugs. "It's different because you're fresh meat." Foust says, discreetly checking him out. He too so badly wanted to taste the newcomer, who is he to deny that fact? But Adam obviously wasn't interested, at least at the moment.  Foust stood up to get them supper, keeping a close eye on the rookie as he scooped baked beans and potatoes on their plates. He could see Adam grinning from ear to ear as he stared at the plates.

"You must be very hungry." Tim chuckled. Adam shook his head. "No. I just thought of my husband. I was never a good cook but he swore to heaven and earth that he loved my baked beans. Such a sweet man." "Too bad you can't call him that anymore." Tim mumbles. Adam slams his fork on the table. "Don't you even start about it. You can't talk about Austin that way." He says irritably. His actions, however, attracted attention, especially the guards at the table right across from them.

Chance stood up to see what was going on, but Avi, the occupant of the cell next to Tim's, held up his finger as if to say that he will see what the problem is. Avi picked up his tray and walked slowly towards their table. "And I thought you were already the best of friends." He says. He set his tray on the table and turned to Adam. "I'm Avi Kaplan, your neighbor. You don't mind if I sit here, do you?" "Of course not, I'm Adam Rupp." He replies quickly. "You came just in time." Tim laughs. "Huh?" Avi asked, confused. "I was telling him about the future of his marriage."

"Oh! I wouldn't put my hopes up if I were you." Avi says sympathetically. Adam only stared at him. "I was married to Scott Hoying for a while. He was a druggie. When money got low, I tried to rob a liquor store, ended up killing a few people. The sad part is, I only got around 75 dollars in the heist." He laughs, giving Tim a high-five before he continued. "He was very understanding. He would visit me every week. Until he visited with divorce papers and the next thing I know is that he ran away with his dealer Mitch. Always hated that bitch." Avi finishes with a huff.

"Are you okay now?" Adam asked worriedly. "Honey, that was years ago. Yes, right now, I'm more than okay. " Avi smiled sweetly. Looking around. Adam did too and noticed that Avi was actually smiling at officer Chance. Adam looked at Chance, then glanced back at Avi. There's something going on but he just decided to leave it alone anyway. They finished their dinner and were heading back to their cell when Adam stopped Tim. "I have to shower. I smell like beans and potato." Tim groans. "I thought it reminded you of your husband. Can't you wait until tomorrow?"

Adam pouted. "Please?" Tim rolled his eyes. "Alright. We'll take a quick shower but you have to promise not to bother me the rest of the night. Is that clear?" Adam nodded. Together, they cautiously walked to the shower area. Tim started to unbutton his shirt while Adam only stood there awkwardly. Tim turned to throw his clothes on the laundry area and saw him. "I thought you wanted to shower?" Adam blushed, turning around and slowly takes off his clothes. Tim's eyes followed his every action. Adam pulled the tie from his long hair, letting it fall on his shoulders. He turned his back completely.

Tim definitely got an eyeful of his body. Before he knew it, Tim's breathing began to quicken as droplets of water dripped on the rookie's porcelain skin, down to his muscly arms and finally to his curvy and plump butt. Tim was mesmerized with his body, for a lot of good reasons. He turned back around before Adam sees him watching. "This is a bad idea." He mumbled to himself. He watched his quickly rising erection desperately. "What was that?" Adam asks, looking around. Tim turned his back to hide his hardened prick. "I said don't drop the soap." Adam giggled and shook his head.

"Please go away." Tim whispers as he tries not to touch himself. "Alright, I'm done." Adam chirps as he grabs a towel. "Good. Ask the attendants about the soap they use." Tim says. He knew that Eli and Tony, the attendants, will be excited to talk to the newcomer. Eli is quite a chatterbox. That'll give him time to fix his problem. Adam gave him a thumbs up and left. They went back to their cell, where Tim immediately grabbed his notebook and his book. "Now keep your mouth shut and let me study in peace."

Adam nodded and drew an X on his mouth with his finger to emphasize the idea. He carefully laid down on his creaky bed. "I hope I don't fall down and crush you to death." He whispers. But Tim heard him and chuckled. He sighed in exhaustion. He's been lying in bed for hours, just can't fall asleep. He was mentally exhausted from everything. He started questioning himself, why did everything had to happen? He knew from the beginning that he was ruining his life but he just can't help it. The obsession had gone too far.

He also thought about Avi, and what happened between him and his husband. What if Austin does the same thing? But he knew that Chris would never let that happen. Amidst his deep thought, he heard deep, heavy breaths and incoherent whispers. He tried to ignore it but the heavy breaths continued. They sounded so close. He tried to focus on trying to fall asleep but he just can't. The overly sexual sounds were bothering him. Thinking that it was Tim trying to help himself, he leaned down, only to see the man sleeping.

Curious, he hopped off his bed to investigate, and saw, with his own two eyes, prison guard Chance leaving Avi's cell, buttoning up his clothes. Avi pulled the man back inside for a while, then lets go of him immediately. Chance looked around to make sure that no one else is awake. Adam hurriedly got back to his bed and pretended to be asleep as the guard passed by. He made, a mental note to himself that he will ask Tim about it the next morning.
