Chapter 13

"If I asked you now
Will you be my prince?
Will you lay down your armour
And be with me forever?"

Adam softly sang as he stroked his cell mate's hair, waiting for him to wake up. Tim's head lay on Adam's shoulder, and his arms wrapped around Adam, making it impossible for the blue eyed man to get up. Adam's smile faltered as he looked on the prisoners exiting the cellblock.

Today is visitation day, and it's time for him to face the reality, to face his changing husband and suspicious brother. He stared at Tim's face, full of hope and regret. He looked away in shame as the previous events circled his mind. How had he been so careless, (and horny) to have forgotten his responsibility as a husband? Was it lust? Was it loneliness? Or is he just catching feelings for the handsome man in his arms? It's really hard to discern, though the idea warmed his heart.

Tim stirred in his arms, facing him. "How long was I sleeping?" Tim asks, his voice husky from his sleep. "About three hours. Are you ready to get up?" He asks, brushing Tim's hair back behind his ear. "Yeah, but do we have to?" He asked, rubbing his tired eyes. Adam smiled sadly, not knowing how Tim will react to what he's about to say. "Yes. It's visitation day." He says hesitantly.

Tim nodded and turned away. He got off of his bed and grabbed his brush. Adam followed him. "Back to reality for a while." Tim mumbles dryly. Adam kissed Tim's shoulder. "Only for a short while, babe. After that, I'm all yours." Adam winks, leaving Tim stunned.

Adam does not have the slightest idea why, and how he can say those things to a man he barely knew, right when he's about to visit with his husband. What's amazing though, is his lack of guilt for his actions. He tied his hair in a messy bun, as Tim grabbed his glasses and a John Grisham novel. "Let's go." Tim says quietly.

Adam followed him to the open field, where Austin and Chris were waiting. All of his thoughts earlier vanished. He focused on his husband, who was smiling sweetly at his brother. "Hey." He greets them. Chris stood up to hug him, followed by Austin. "How are you guys?" He asks, directing the question to Austin. The skinny man only shrugged his shoulders.

"He's been on therapy for PTSD." Chris says. " Really? How's it going?" He asks, grasping Austin's hand. The man shook his head. "He's been showing signs of improvement so I think it's going great." Chris, again, spoke for Austin.

Adam gave up trying to start a decent conversation with his husband and looked around, his eyes automatically falling on his cell mate. Tim wasn't focused on the book at all. Maybe that's why he doesn't get past ten pages after reading for over an hour. He watched as Tim glanced up quickly whenever he sees someone enter the field, only to drop his head down in disappointment, looking around to make sure that no one noticed.

Adam watched him for quite a while, seeing Tim's shoulders slump lower every time. Adam's heart broke as he realized that somehow, deep inside, Tim's still waiting for someone from the outside world to remember him, specially his mom.

"Excuse me, Adam!" Austin broke him out of his thoughts, grabbing his arm violently. "What?" "Were you just watching that murderer?" Austin asked in an irritable tone. "Quite possibly. Yes, actually." He replies. "Seriously?" Austin asked, looking at Adam angrily. "Well, yeah. You were busy ignoring me so I thought I should do something else to amuse myself." He shot back, his patience getting shorter by the minute.

"You know what, Austin? You have therapy in thirty minutes so I suggest that we get going." Chris says, trying to ease the tension between the couple. "Bye, Chris, bye Austin." Adam smiles at his brother. " But just as he got up from the table, Austin grabbed his hand. "H-hey. I didn't mean it. I just snapped out for a minute there. I'm so sorry, honey." Austin says, kissing the back of Adam's hand.

Once again, all the anger evaporated off of Adam in an instant. He leaned over to kiss Austin. "It's okay. I'm not mad at you. See you next week, baby." He whispers softly with a smile. They hugged each other tightly before going on different directions.

His smile faded, as he looks at Tim just in time to see the man quickly wipe a tear. He quickened his pace. "You wanna go back inside?" He says, trying to sound energetic. The sight of Adam's smiling face made Tim smile too. He reached up and caressed Adam's face. "You look really happy." Tim commented. Adam laughed. "Let's go."

They walked back inside their cell. Tim set his book and his glasses down on top of the dresser. His eyes caught a glimpse of his Algebra book. He sighed, sitting beside Adam on his bed. "Adam?" "Hmm?" "Do you think... I stand a chance against Clooney?" He asked quietly, leaning on Adam's shoulder. Adam wrapped an arm around him. "Absolutely. He just can't take away your right to education. We will fight him." He rubbed Tim's back comfortingly. "Thanks. I needed that assurance." He kissed Adam's neck. "Now, will you stop worrying?" Tim started to lay down, pulling Adam with him. "For now." Tim whispers before kissing Adam softly.

The kiss just got heated when Chance called all the prisoners for supper. "Cockblock." Tim grumbles, hopping off of his bed. Adam's eyes followed Tim. If only he could do something to make him happy... "You done checking me out?" Tim raised his eyebrows. Adam chuckles, raising up from the bed. "Don't be so full of yourself, Foust." He rolled his eyes. Tim grabbed his hand as they exited their cell. They were the only ones left in the cell block, or so they thought.

Avi groaned and whined in his bed, not even bothering to get up. "Come on. You have to eat something." Chance says softly, brushing Avi's hair back behind his ears. "I can't." Avi whispers weakly. "But you know can't stay here." Chance says, knowing there may be consequences if they get caught. Avi turned around to face him. "Don't leave me here." He pleaded, a tear falling from his cheeks. "I'll stay." Chance says, his voice cracking.

Tim and Adam looked at each other. "What's up?" Tim asked. "He's burning up with fever." Chance answers "Uh, Chance? Why don't you stay here while we eat a really quick dinner?" Adam says. Chance looks around, his worried eyes meeting Tim's. "We'll be back as soon as we can." The brown eyed man adds.

Chance nodded as he removed his shoes to join his ill lover on the bed. Tim and Adam immediately walked to the cafeteria. "I'm sorry." Avi croaks. Chance smiled reassuringly. "Why, honey?" Chance asked, pulling Avi's head towards his chest. "Well, you were supposed to f*ck me senseless for our eighth month anniversary but colds is f*cking me instead." Avi says matter of factly. Chance burst in a fit of uncontrollable laughter. He kissed the bearded man's forehead. "We'll have plenty of time for loving , but you have to get well first. I don't like seeing you like this." He says softly. Avi nodded, and soon dozed off.

Meanwhile in the kitchen, Tim tries to eat his supper as quickly as possible, but Adam isn't making it easier. "Are you sure this is okay? The last you ate that you got sick." Adam asked, pointing at the fish on Tim's plate. "But I love fish." Tim says, but Adam is already reaching for his plate to taste the fish. "Does it taste good, Mr. Food Tester?" Tim raised his eyebrows. Adam giggled and gave him a thumbs up. "If I get sick, you get sick too." Tim shrugs as they began to eat.

"Can I join you?" Someone says from behind. It was the same bald skinny man from earlier. Grassi smiles sweetly. "No." Adam quickly answers, gritting his teeth. Mitch ignored him and turned his attention to Tim. Tim looked into Adam's eyes, and saw raging anger and jealousy. "You heard the boss. No means no." Tim says firmly. Adam leaned forward to kissing Tim passionately.

"Are you done eating, babe?" He asks, brushing Tim's hair back behind his ears. "Yes. Are you?" "Yes, I am. Ready for dessert?" Adam whispers, loud enough for Mitch to hear. Tim nodded, taking Adam by the hand

As they passed by, Adam 'accidentally' bumped into Mitch. The blow was so forceful Mitch flew across another table. "Oops, sorry." The blond smirks. "You did that on purpose!" Mitch yells angrily. He lunged forward to grab Adam's hair but Tim caught his hand in time. "Back off, Gollum. Don't you even dare!" Tim screams in his face. He pushed the Grassi away in disgust. "That bitch. How dare he? He's fucking disgusting! Did you see his smile, he's nowhere near sexy!" Adam rambles. He's practically fuming.

Tim looks on with an amused look on his face. "You know, Adam, I don't believe he was coming on to you." Adam stopped walking, glaring at his cellmate. "Then go ahead and fuck him. I don't even care!" Adam pouts. Tim giggled, kissing him softly. "Go back to our apartment, but be careful, and behave yourself. I'll just go take a shower. Oh, and watch the doors just in case someone walks in on Avi and Chance." He winks.

Adam nodded. He won't try to deny it. Mitch is so small that he gets on Adam's last nerves. Although there's clearly no competition from Mitch, Adam feels threatened. What if Tim does end up getting on with someone else? The idea scares him. He's got to show Tim his worth, but how?

As he reached his cell, watching Chance and Avi cuddling, an idea struck his head. "Hey, you." He whispers. Chance looked around "Who me?" "Yes, you. Who else?" Adam chuckles. "How's he doing?" Adam asks. "He's burning up with fever. He fell asleep before I could get him something to eat." Chance sighs.

"I need your help."Adam says. "Pardon me?" The guard raised his eyebrows. "I need your help to make Tim happy." Adam says. "O...kay? You lost me somewhere. And I think you already make him happy everyday, for the past few days." Chance answers in confusion. He carefully opened Avi's cell, making sure the man wouldn't wake up. He walks towards Adam and Tim's cell.

"It's about his mom. He may not make it obvious but this morning, when I was visiting with my husband and my brother, I saw how miserable he really is. He looks up from his book every time someone enters the field. He sighs deeper and his shoulders slump lower when he sees that there's nobody there to visit him, he cries silently. I saw him. We have to help him." Adam explained as he grabbed Chance's hand, squeezing it tightly.

"How?" Chance is skeptical about the idea, although he's showing interest. "If you can find a way to get a hold of his mother's number, I can take it from there." He grins hopefully. "You're nuts." Chance exclaimed in disbelief. "I am. That's why I'm here, remember?" Adam laughs.

Chance finally gave up." "Alright, I'll just see if I can peek at his personal profile, then I'll let you use my phone to call her. Is that alright?" He pulled the guard into a hug. "Yes! Thank you so much. This means everything to me."

"What does?" Tim asks suddenly, walking inside their cell. "Nothing. What took you so long?" Adam asks. Tim smirked, and winked at Adam. "I had to take care of something." He says.

Chance bade them goodbye to go check on Avi.

"What? Don't tell me you hooked up with that toothpick." Adam huffs. "Eew. Of course not." Tim chuckled and pulled the man down on his bed. They formed a spoon, with Tim being the bigger spoon. He wrapped his arms around Adam. "I can't wait to f*ck you." He whispers in a low voice as he inserted his hand inside Adam's shirt, his finger circling one of Adam's nipples. He started kissing and nibbling on his neck.

"Take me now." Adam moaned out. He turned around to face his cellmate. "Now?" Tim asks, surprised. "Austin and I never barebacked before, but I really love the idea. No condom, no prep and all. That's so d*mn hot." Adam slammed his lips against Tim's, commencing a make out session. They pulled away to gasp for air. "I don't think so." Tim smiles as Adam frowns. "Why not?" "Because, when the time is right, I'll make it special for you. Get ready to get your mind, and your cock blown baby!" Tim says as he laughed loudly.
