Jungkook stroked the steering wheel and relaxed with a sigh. He had habitually chosen the darkest place in the parking lot and the closest to the elevator that would take him to his new office. He had arrived an hour before the meeting, another habit of inspecting the place, getting to know the situation, and making his own judgment about the people who would work for him.
Someone's headlights caught his attention, but they quickly disappeared. He heard the engine of the other car shut down and leaned forward, sinking into the seat. Apparently someone else had a habit of coming to work earlier. A red dot in his favor. He waited patiently to see who this early riser was, who had to pass his car to get to the elevator.
A few minutes later, he heard the car door close, the lock beep, and an alarm go off. A few more moments and the front of his car tilted slightly as a young girl sat on it slightly, leaving a huge handbag aside, pulled out a pair of heels, then bent down and apparently changed her shoes because she put a pair of canvases in the bag. Her hand rose and pulled the rubber band from her ponytail, scattering her hair over her back and shoulders, squeezing almost to the middle of her back. He looked at her back, tall and slender, just his type, he smirked. His gaze dropped to her ass, which was still on the hood of his car, outlined by the beige skirt, which was obviously a "Hug Me" type because it was tied in a perfect ribbon at the waist, outlining its thin line. She turned slightly to pick up her bag, but her face was hidden by her loose hair, and he couldn't see it. "Who are you, doll?" Jungkook wondered, watching her head for the elevator, carefully straightening her outfit.
Maybe it would be more interesting than he thought. Although, the idea of having an affair with an office woman wasn't very good, especially if he was going to get rid of her later. Judging by her attire, she was hardly an ordinary secretary in any department, or she wouldn't have bothered to look so pretentious.
Rina double-checked the two copies to be signed later this morning as she stirred her coffee. Making sure everything was in order, she leaned back in her chair, holding the large glass in both hands, and bit the inside corner of her lips. Did the son look like the father?
Drinking her hot coffee, she pushed the thought away and began to make a plan for the day, leaving loopholes for any additional tasks that might be assigned to her. She set down her glass and turned on her computer, waiting for it to load, opened one of the side drawers and pulled out a black notebook. She opened it and her fingers ran across the sheet, remembering the hours of meetings during the day. Given that the managerial post would change today, the meetings were limited to two. One was with the staff and the other with the board of directors, who had to meet and accept the new CEO. All that was written down was the tasks she had been given the day before and which she had to take care of until the end of working hours. She compared what she had written in the notebook with what she had put in her electronic organizer when her computer came on, ready to work, made a few slight adjustments, found discrepancies, and looked at the clock. Soon the two Jeons would show up, and half an hour later the meeting would begin.
Rina carefully gathered all the documents in two black folders and stood up, pressing them to her chest. She headed for the large conference room and entered, turning on the lights. She placed the two folders at one end of the long table with a pen next to each one, made sure there were enough glasses and water on the table, and, satisfied, left, this time heading to her boss's office.
Ten minutes, just in time. She made a cup of coffee, adding milk and a teaspoon of sugar, carefully wiped the rim of the cup, making sure she hadn't missed a drop of coffee to contaminate the rim, and placed the cup to the right of the desk where she should have been when Mr. Jeon appeared. She checked his desk and carefully arranged a few shifted sheets in the binder in the upper left corner of his desk. She wondered if she could make coffee for young Jeon, too, but since she still didn't know his taste, she quickly gave up, preferring to make it when he arrived. With five minutes left, she took one last look to see if everything was in place, smiled slightly, and left the office, returning to her desk just steps from the boss's door.
Exactly two minutes before Jeon showed up, her phone rang. She looked at him and smiled broadly. "Nice work! Good luck with the new boss, we hope he's cool! Min-Cha and Boram" shaking her head, she turned off her phone. Min-Cha was her best friend, and Boram her fiancé. The two were madly in love, and Rina did her best to postpone this ridiculous marriage, allowing them to be together. Rina and Boran had been engaged for almost a year, something her grandmother had insisted on trying to get rid of her. Who wants an orphan in his house, not his grandmother! Boran and Rina had known each other since they were children, and her grandmother had insisted that they marry, arranging everything with his family. Rina found no reason to argue, but soon Boran and Min-Cha declared their love to her and she agreed to be their screen, because Boran's parents didn't like Min-Cha, God knows why. Sooner or later they had to come up with a reason why this marriage couldn't be concluded, but none of the three found a valid reason that couldn't be refuted by reasonable arguments.
She sighed, set her phone aside, and stood up, clasping her hands in front of her, waiting for the elevator to open at any moment. And just in time, at 8:00, the two heavy doors opened and she bowed, welcoming her boss and his son. The father nodded slightly, passing her, but the son ...
Rina stared at him calmly as he looked at her with a raised eyebrow. Did father and son look alike? Hell, the son was the younger version of the father. Probably Mr. Jeon looked the same at his age, and Rina couldn't help but wonder how many hearts they'd broken. And not only did he look like him, but he had the same arrogant attitude, the same cold but somehow brilliant look, a brilliance his father had apparently lost over the years.
"Jungkook, Miss Yon!" her boss's voice came from the office, and she pointed professionally at the door, giving him an advantage as her future boss. His raised eyebrow jumped and he walked past her, she rolled her eyes and followed him. He sat down in the chair opposite his father and she stood beside him while Mr. Jeon looked up at them, sipping the coffee she had left earlier.
"Jungkook, this is Yon Rina, from today she will be your assistant. You can ask her about anything you need." Jungkook looked at her and she bowed again. "May I offer you coffee, sir?" Rina asked, and he nodded. "Black, no sugar." she bowed again, taking up the task.
Father and son Jeon signed the agreement, transferring the two copies to each other.
"Thank you all for your attention, I leave my son and the company in your hands and I believe that I can trust you as before. You can return to your duties." Mr.Jeon stood up, and everyone followed.
Jungkook sat back in his chair. Step one taken. It would be as easy to enchant the shareholders as it was with the employees. He looked at the woman, who was diligently collecting the signed documents, and walked to the door, ignoring him.
