Avneet Kaur slapped Riyaz Aly, her boyfriend, well her ex-boyfriend as they were there locked in a room alone.

Riu- Avneet, plz listen to me. Give me one more chance. I promise I will be loyal to you.

Avu- U don't deserve it. And what did u say? Loyal? I saw you kissing Anushka literally half an hour before. So keep your sorries to yourself and stay out of my life asshole. 

She unlocked the door and went outside. She walked down the corridor when her eyes fell on a boy, a very familiar boy standing near the stairs with a smirk. She rolled her eyes at her rival Siddharth Nigam who was actually Riyaz's nemesis.

As she was closer to Sid, his smirk faded as he noticed her glossy eyes shining from the party lights. She ignored him and turned to go downstairs when he stood infront of her blocking her path.

Avu- I am not in any mood to quarrel with you Siddharth...plz.

Sid- What has happened?

Avu- Nothing that u need to know.

He was about to speak when his eyes fell on Riyaz coming from the same room. Their eyes met and anger spread through them. 

Riu moved towards them.

Riu- Why are u talking with him?

Avu- Its my life. I can talk with whomsoever I want and u are no one to tell me.

Riu- Avneet, don't speak to me like that.

Sid- Ofcourse she can. A fucker like you deserves that. What did u do to her?

Riu- None of your business.

Sid- U hv no right to hurt her. So tell me.

Riu- U don't need to interfere in this asshole.

Riu punched Sid making the corner of his lips bleed. He wiped the blood and punched back Riu.

Avu- Guys, plz stop it. Not now...

Riu- Stay out of this bitch.

He pushed Avu who slipped down the stairs and was about to fall. Sid immediately caught her wrist and pulled her to himself. Riu ran away from there.

Sid cupped Avu's face as his eyes filled with concern.

Sid- R u fine Avneet?

She removed his hands from her face.

Avu- Yes I am.

She started going downstairs while he followed her.

Sid- What has happened? Why were u crying? Tell me.

Avu- It's seriously none of your business Siddharth. Stay out of it.

Sid- No tell me...what did that mother fucker do to you?

Avu didn't answer and moved forward towards the table where cups of alcohol were there.

Sid- Avneet!! Speak something. I am worried.

Avu- Go away Siddharth...we are not friends...u hv no reason to be worried about me.

She gulped down a whole cup of beer.

Sid- U very well know how stubborn I am. So answer me what has happened?

Avu- WE BROKE UP. Riyaz and I broke up. He cheated on me with Anushka, who is...I suppose even your ex?

Sid- We were dating months ago.

Avu- And the whole college knows she is still crazy after you. Anyway I hv no interest knowing about your dating life and especially the girl with whom my boyfriend, sorry...my ex- boyfriend has cheated with, on me.

Her voice was rude yet she sounded hurt.

Sid- I am so sorry Avneet.

Avu- Why are u sorry Siddharth? He should be sorry but even after the number of times he says sorry, I know he is not and-

Her eyes fell on something and she squeezed the cup in her hand. Sid followed her gaze and found Riu and Anu kissing desperately. He shook his head in disbelief.

Avu- Wow, he is so sorry! Fucking great.

She gulped down more cups of alcohol.

Sid- Stop it Avneet...u will be drunk.

Avu- So what? I don't care.

Sid noticed the change in her tone.

Sid- U already are.

Avu- What does he think? If he cheats on me, if he breaks my heart, my life will stop. I will show him that I can enjoy my life well enough without him.

She ran to the dance floor and started dancing letting herself go. Sid noticed the eyes prying her like she was their prey.

He went towards her and held her hand dragging her out of there.

Sid- We are leaving. U are too drunk to handle yourself.

Avu- No...

Sid- Yes...

He pulled her out of the house while Avu managed to get hold of a beer bottle. 

Sid- Wait!! Let me call Abhishek..He has the car keys.

Sid called Abhi who didn't pick up the call.

Sid- Dammit!

He looked over at Avu who was gulping down the beer.

Sid- Woah woah woah...

He pulled away the bottle from here.

Avu- Give it back to me Siddharth.

Sid- No wayyy.

She tried snatching it but he threw away the bottle and it broke into pieces. Avu punched his chest and started running on the road which was empty. Sid ran after her and caught hold of her arm pulling her to the foopath.

Sid- For someone so small like you, u surely do run too fast.

Avu- Shut up...I hate you.

She started crying.

Avu- U are worse than Riyaz...

But she suddenly stopped crying and wiped her tears.

Avu-Wait, no. U are better than him. 

She again started crying.

Avu- But still u are very bad.

She sat down on the footpath crying loudly and dramatically. Sid rubbed his temples.

Avu- U all are bad. Everyone treats me badly like I don't deserve any good things of the world. I thought Riyaz was an exception, that he genuinely cared for me but even he turned out to be traitor. Why did he have to cheat on me?He could have said that he never liked me and I would have gone away from his life? Why all these bad things happen with me? Am I so bad?

Towards the end, her voice filled with hurt. Sid felt bad for her. He sat beside her.

Sid- No, u are not. Infact u are the best girl in this world.

Avu turned her face towrads him. He wiped her tears giving her a small smile.

Avu- U really think so?

Sid- Yes! Of course. 

Avu- Then why does no one like me?

Sid- Because they are jealous of your inner and outer beauty. And not everyone dislikes you. There are a few people who really like you.

Avu- Reaaly? Who are they?

Sid- Me.

Avu looked at him blankly for a second and burst out laughing.

Avu- I really appreciate your efforts Siddharth, to make me feel good and happy. But there is no need to throw a lie on my face directly just to do so. Infact u don't even need to be here. Like I said, we are not friends. We are the  rivals who are literally at each other's throats all the time.

Sid- We may quarrel all the time but that doesn't mean that we are rivals. I and Riyaz are enemies. U were his girlfriend and in order to stand for him, u used to fight with me. U never really hated me. I know that. Now that u guys have broken up, we can be friends.

Avu- Hmm...nice observation skills.

Sid- Thank you but now I guess we should go. Come on. 

He stood up and pulled her up. 

Sid- Now where do u live?

Avu- I..I live at...where do I live? Ahh...My head...oh god...I don't know where do I live?

Sid- Very funny. Tell me your address so that I can drop u home.

Avu- Can't u understand? I don't remember. I don't even know this place. I had come with one of my friends.

Sid- Avneet, plz try to remember.

Avu- I...

Suddenly she covered her mouth and gagged. She went to the side of the road and puked. Sid groaned in disgust but went near her pulling her hair back and rubbing her back.

Sid- Easy...

After she was done, she raised her face which was puffy and tears edged her eyes.

Sid took out his handkerchief and hesitatingly yet carefully wiped her face and mouth with it. 

Sid- This was my favorite handkerchief and u hv to pay for making me do this.

He threw away the hanky. 

Sid- Now, lets go.

Avu- No, I don't want to go anywhere.

Sid- Plz don't make me regret helping you. Come on!! Plz tell me your address.

Avu noticed her tiredness in the voice. She tried walking and was about to fall when Sid held her. She leaned onto his chest dripping into sleep.

Sid- What am I gonna do now? 

He patted her cheeks and she was muttering something unconsciously. He sighed.

Sid- Guess u hv to go to my house, beautiful. 

He bent down and slipped one arm under her knees and another under her back and picked her up. He started walking.

Finally, they reached his house.

He laid her down on the couch of the living room and brought her some water.

Sid- Hey, drink it.

He guided the glass to her mouth supporting the back of her head with his palm. She gulped down the water and he took her to his bedroom. He made her sleep on the bed and went downstairs only to see Abhishek and his girlfriend Vaishnavi entering the house.

Abhi- Bro, u called me?

Sid- I will deal with u later on but first, Vaish..can u plz come to my room. I need ur hrlp with somwthing.

Vaish- Sure.

They went to his room. Vaish gasped seeing her over there.

Sid- Questions later. Plz just change her dress into this.

He forwarded her one of his college jersey.

Vaish- Ok.

He went outside and waited till Vaish came out and gestured the work was done.

Sid- Thanks.

Vaish smiled and left.

Sid went inside the room and saw her covered with the duvet. He switched off the bed light and left closing the door after him. He went downstairs and crashed on the sofa immediately drifting off to sleep.

Next morning,

Avu woke up groaning. She sat on the bed holding her head and moving her eyes around the unfamiliar surrounding.

Avu- Where the hell am I?

She stood up stumbling. Suddenly her eyes fell on the mirror. She looked at her outfit.

Avu- College basketball team jersey? Don't tell me I am at Riyaz's house. But..he never used to give me his jersey even after number of times I asked him to. Then whose is this?

She turned but her eyes fell on the slightly visible name of the jersey and she didn't take one more moment to guess it. She screamed on the top of her voice. 

She ran towards the door and pushed it open. She came face to face with Vaish who was rubbing her nose that just hit the door and a horror faced Abhi. She went downstairs and saw Sid sleeping on the couch with a frown. Her eyes fell on the jug of water on the dining. She took the jug and threw it on his face.

Sid- What the fuck-

He woke up with a jerk and was about to sit but Avu pushed him back and sat on him straddling his torso. She held his collar.

Avu- U idiot!! U jerk! U didn't even once think before taking advantage of me.

Sid-I-

Avu- I had the slightest thought in my mind that there is a hint of goodness in you but u had to prove me wrong. How could you do so?

Sid- Miss Genius, if I would hv taken your advantage, then I would not have been sleeping here the whole night uncomfortably and u won't be sleeping in MY bedroom, on MY bed comfortably. Rather we would be sleeping on my bed together. Naked.

Avu's cheeks heated as an unwanted image of them together naked flashed across her mind before she pushed it back.

Sid- Now, plz go to a flashback and remember how much advantage had I taken of you?

She started remembering what had happened last night and felt embarrassed when she remembered everything.

Sid- Remembered?

Avu- Still then, how did u change my clothes without my permission?

Vaish fake coughed.

Vaish- That would have been me. He asked me to change your dress.

Avu felt more guilty.

Avu- Ohh..

Sid- What happened? No more complaints. 

Vaish- Ok, Avneet, I am going to make breakfast and will even give one of my dress. Then, we can go to college together.

Avu- Thank You.

Abhinavi left.

Sid- Now, will u plz get up from me before I change my mind and really take advantage of you.

Avu's eyes widened as she suddenly realized something was poking against her ass. She immediately got off him. He sat down on the couch followed by her who sat at the other end. Her eyes fell on his morning wood and she immediately turned away her face. Sid noticed her whole reaction and covered his buddy with the couch cushion.

Avu- Umm...thank you. For yesterday night.

Sid- Only a thanks. I deserve so much more for handling a trouble like you.

Avu- I had never asked u to do so.

Sid(sarcastically)- Sooo thankful...

Avu- Fine...I am genuinely grateful that u helped me. I will treat you sometime. Happy?

Sid- Yep..definitely.

Vaish came and gave her a dress before going away. 

Avu- Where is the washroom?

Sid- At the end of the corridor. 

Avu- Ok.

She was about to get up when Sid stopped her.

Sid- Oh btw Avneet..

Avu- Yup!!

Sid leaned towards her and his hand moved towards her chest.

Sid- My jersey.

Avu leaned backwards yanking his hand away and clutching onto the shirt. Sid chuckled seeing her blush. She stood up and then turned towards him. His gaze travelled from her face towards her bare legs. His lips parted as he took in her appearance in just his jersey. Her cheeks reddened as she found him looking at her like that.

Avu- Siddharth..?

Sid- U look too good wearing only my jersey. 

He chuckled again seeing her red.

She turned away moving towards her washroom.

Sid- Do return me my shirt or I might have to take it off you myself.

Avu- Shut up!!

He grinned imagining her blushing face.

He even went to another washroom to get ready.

After taking bath, four of them sat down for breakfast.

Sid forwarded Avu her mobile phone. She thanked him with a smile but her smile faded when she saw her all the messages from her ex-boyfriend. She kept her phone aside and started eating. Sid observed her change in mood but kept quiet.

Avu- Hey Vaish, can I hv one extra bag and a rough copy. I hv most of my books in my locker.

Vaish-Ya sure...I hv those. 

After breakfast, all four of them left for college in two different cars. 

Abhi- Ok, what do u guys have as your first class?

Vaish- Sociology

Sid- French

Avu- Same. French.

Vaish- Cool, meet u in the break.

Abhinavi left.

Sidneet moved towards their class when suddenly Riyaz came and blocked their path. Avu groaned seeing him.

Riu- I had clearly asked u to stay away from him.

Avu- That was when I was your girlfriend or should I say just a toy for u to play with. Its my life. I do not need you deciding whom should I talk to and whom should I not. And I had never hated Siddharth. It was u who had forced me to dislike him. But guess what, good people deserve good and assholes like you deserve to be thrown out of our lives.

Riu- U bit-

Riu moved towards her in a threatening way but Sid stood infront of her glaring at him.

Sid- Don't u dare.

Riu looked at him and back at him and then chuckled.

Riu- What is he now? Your bodyguard?

Avu- He is none of your business. Anyway, I am getting late for my class. Don't hv time for you. 

She pushed him and left for her classes.

Sid- Stay the fuck out of her life.

He went after her and sat beside her. She gave him a questioning look and he grinned at her.

Avu- Why are u sitting here?

Sid- Now that we are already sharing clothes, we can atleast share this bench.

Avu- Clothes? Plural? Seriously? It was just one jersey. 

Sid- U can take as many more u want.

Avu- Ya thanks...but I don't need those. I hv my clothes.

Sid- Ya but I won't mind moving around in mine.

Avu- Shut up.

She rolled her eyes in order to hide her blush.

Skips to break,

Abhi- So Avneet, where do u actually live?

Avu- I live near the east park. I hv two other roommates but they are from another college. But I hv been thinking to shift somewhere. That place is a bit expensive for me and even the colony is very narrow. 

Abhi- Hmm...

Vaish- Why don't u shift with us?

Avu- Huh?

Vaish- Yah...shift with us. I mean we still have one vacant room. It will be really fun. Right Abhi and Sid?

Abhi- Ya ofcourse. Sid?

Sid- Ababb...Y-ya...she can.

Abhi(smirking)- Ofcourse she can. Out of all the people, why will u mind?

Sid glared at Abhi.

Avu- Thank you guys but no. But I promise if I don't find any place I will think about it.

Vaish- Great! I reaaly wish u don't find any place and shift. U hv no idea what a headache it can be staying with two boys all the time. I would love to have a girl company. 

Abhi- And even Sid will have someone with him when we both will be busy.

Vaish- Shut up!!

Sid rubbed his face and looked at Avu who even looked at him from the corner of her eyes.

Few days later, 

SidNeet were not exactly friends. They still had their nok-jhoks everyday. 

Present day,

Avu sighed and closed her laptop. She was today alone in her house as her roommates had gone to a college party. She went to her bed and fell on it exhausted when the door of her room opened with a bang. She sat up with a jerk.

Avu- Riyaz?

His eyes were red and he reeked of alcohol.

Avu- How did u enter?

Riu- Did u forget I hv a key to your house?

Avu- Well u are no more invited. Leave!

He moved towards her and gripped her shoulders.

Avu- Leave me u jerk.

Riu- Plz Avneet, let's get back together. I know u still love me.

Avu- No...I hv moved on.

Riu- U hv? I don't see u hv a boyfriend.

Avu- Moving on doesn't mean having a boyfriend.

Riu- It means so. Or else I would still believe that u crave for my touches.

He tried to kiss her but she slapped him and pushed him away standing up.

Riu- U bitch!

He again gripped her shoulders.

Avu- Stop it Riyaz. Fine..I hv a boyfriend.

Riu- Who is it? Is it that Siddharth with whom u stay all the time.

Avu- Yes, its him.

Riu's eyes spraed with anger. He pushed her on the bed and hovered above her.

Riu- U are just a slut, going from one boy to another so soon.

Avu- Just like you, fucking another girl while dating one. U are no different, u manwhore.

Riu slapped her tightly and gripped her jaw.

Riu- U are a whore but only my whore. U are fucking mine and I won't let u get close to anyone else. I am gonna mark u mine so hard that no one will even dare to look at you.

Avu- Get off me-

Riu gripped her wrists tightly kissing her forcefully. She tried moving but at last kicked his manhood with her knee. He groaned in pain and pulled her hair. She screamed in pain as tears filled her eyes still she gave him a hard push and ran. He held the back of her dress which tore from the pull. He pinned her across the cupboard and again kissed her. His hands ripped her the arms of her dress and some of the front region below the neck.

Avu saw the penstand. She took it and hit his head with it. He left her and went backwards holding the head. Avu saw her stoll lying on the chair. She took it and ran away locking the door after her. She covered her upper body with the stoll and started running on the middle road at midnight.

Tears were flowing down her eyes but she kept running where her feet took her. Finally after a long time, she stopped infront of Sid's house and was breathing heavily. She opened the maingate and pressed the doorbell continuously.

While in the house, 

Sid and Abhinavi came out of their rooms confused. 

Vaish- Who is it at so late night?

They went downstairs and Abhi opened the door.

Abhi- Avneet?

His eyes widened looking at her. 

Avu's eyes fell on Sid who was standing behind Abhi and eyeing her miserable condition. She ran towards him and threw herself in his arms. Sid took a moment to realize it was all true and wrapped his arms around her.

Sid- Avneet...

His soft voice was all it took to break her walls. She started crying furiously in his arms. He caressed her hair gently.

Sid- Shh..stop crying. Calm down.

He tried to break the hug but she hugged him more tightly.

Sid looked at Abhinavi who was looking at her worriedly.

Sid- Hey!! Plz stop crying. U are scaring me.

He guided both of them towards the couch and sat themselves down. He removed her hands from his neck and rested them on his lap holding them gently with his one hand while his other hand went wipe her tears. She was sobbing while hiccups left her mouth. 

Vaish ran to the kitchen and brought a glass of water for her. Sid made her drink it slowly.

Sid- Now no more tears. Hmm? Tell me what happened?

Avu- Riyaz.

Her voice was a whisper but it was loud and clear to his ears. Anger clouded his eyes and his hands turned into fists. 

Avu- I- I don't want to talk about him now. Plz.

His eyes softened as her scared voice.

Sid- No worries. Let's get you to the bed.

He stood up pulling her up but she trembled wincing in pain falling back on the couch. Sid looked at her bare foot and raised it. Their eyes widened and gasps echoed in the room when they found the back of her feet covered with blisters and few areas were even bleeding. 

Sid picked her up and took her to his room. He laid her down on his bed and went to the washroom bringing a bucket of warm water. He put her feet in the water. She sighed feeling some relief. 

Sid brought the fast-aid box and took out an ointment.

He looked at her face and in the bright lighting of the room, he was able to figure out the mark of five fingers on her cheek.

Sid- Did he slap you?

Avu nodded slowly. Sid took deep breaths to calm down his nerves. He traced the red area before applying the ointment. His hands moved down to her stoll and he was about to remove it but Avu stopped him.

Sid- Avneet, how am I going to treat it if I don't even know what has ahppened?

Avu- But...

Sid- Trust me. Plz.

Avu left his hand and he removed her stoll. He left a shaky breath as he took in her almost tore top. Avu gulped down her tears. Her shoulders were covered with the tight grip marks where Sid applied the medicine. 

He stood up and brought one of his shirts and a towel. 

Sid- U can change. I will be outside. Just give me a call. 

Avu nodded. Sid left the room. She changed into his T-shirt and called him. He came back and removed her feet from the bucket of water. He wiped it clean with the towel. With Shaking hands, he applied the ointment on her whole feet. Tears had formed in his eyes thinking about what had happened with her but he pushed them back.

After, he was done, Sid took the bucket back into the washroom. He came back into the room and laid her down on the bed. He covered her with the duvet properly. He dropped a soft kiss on her forehead. 

Sid- Good night.

He switched off the lights and was about to leave but Avu held his hand.

Avu- Siddharth, plz stay here. I am scared. If u are uncomfortable, u can go after I sleep but till then plz...

Sid- Of course...U don't need to be afraid.

He went to the other side and slept beside her. Avu scooted closer to him and clutched onto his shirt. He shivered by the closeness yet wrapped his arms around her. One of his arm rested on her waist and another on her head. He kissed the top of her hair.

Sid- U are safe.

He observed as her breathing turned into soft snores and she drifted off to sleep. Not much later, he even slept.

Next morning,

Avu woke up when the sunrays hit her face. Her eyes fell on Sid who had a tight grip on her. She smiled and snuggled closer towards him and again sleep took over her.

Few minutes later,

Sid woke up and saw Avu sleeping with a satisfied smile. He kissed her temple and went to complete his morning chores. After that he went downstairs.

When Avu woke up, she found herself alone. With difficulty, she went to the washroom where a new toothbrush was kept for her. She did her chores before going downstairs. Vaish first spotted her.

Vaish- Avu...

Sid turned back and ran towards her.

Sid- Avneet, who the hell asked u to walk around. Your feet are covered with blisters.

He held her from her waist and made her sit on the couch stretching her legs on them. Abhi gave her the breakfast.

Avu- Thank You

She noticed three pairs of eyes looking at her with concern.

Avu- I-I am sorry...for arriving at your house yesterday night at such a late hour.

Abhinavi and Sid- Shut Up!!!

Avu pursed her lips closed.

Avu- Umm...yesterday, when I was going to sleep, Riyaz suddenly came into my room. He has my room keys. He started claiming that I am only his and tried to force himself on him. I hit him on his head and ran away locking the door. I hv no idea if he is still there or not. Is it fine if I stay here today? I even don't want to go to college.

Vaish- Ofcourse u can stay here.

Abhi- And not only today, u can stay here for as much time as u want. Infact, u can shift with us.

Sid- Not can, u hv to shift. Ur house is no more safe for you. He can again do the same. We will get the guest room cleaned and bring your things over. U are staying with us and that's final.

Abhinavi- Exactly!

Avu- Ok..

Abhi- Ok so I and Abhi are going to college and will get your notes for today.

Sid- And I am staying with you.

Avu- There's no need of that.

Sid- Why are u always so stubborn? Can't u listen to me for once? I am worried about you because I care for you. R u really that dumb or do u act of being so? Don't u understand anything? Can't u see that I like you?!

Avu's cheeks turned pink listening to his confession. 

Vaish- We are leaving for college.

Abhinavi left them alone.

Sid sat beside her and kept her stretched legs on his lap. He examined her feet and the blisters tracing them slowly.

Sid(murmured)- Don't stop me from killing Riyaz tomorrow.

Avu- Finw Fine. But for now, I need your help.

Sid- What?

Avu- Be my boyfriend.

Sid choked on his own saliva.

Sid- What?!!!

Avu- Yesterday Riyaz kept on telling that the proof of me moving on is me getting a boyfriend. So I told you I had one and it was you.

Sid looked at her in disbelief.

Sid- And why did u do that?

Avu- Because u are his enemy and it will piss him off.

Sid- Great!I can see how well u pissed him off.

Avu- Plz Plz Plz Siddharth...be my fake boyfriend.

Sid- And what will I get in return?

Avu- I make really good food. I can make you breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Sid- Hmm...that may work.

Avu giggled. 

Avu- Ok now I will take bath and then we will discuss other things. 

She kept on the foot on the ground.

Sid- U-

Avu- I can walk Siddharth..relax. 

Half an hour later, 

Avu came downstairs. Sid looked up from his phone and found her in one of his jerseys.

Sid- Hmm...Wearing my jersey without my permission.

Avu- Would u mind? After all u are my 'boyfriend'.

Sid- Hmm...so if I am your boyfriend...

He pulled her down so that she fell down on the sofa with her head on his lap.

Sid- Then, I can even kiss you...right? Couples do kiss.

He leaned towards her with a playful smile. She kept her palm in between as their lips were about to touch. Sid chuckled and kissed her palm.

Avu- Now that I am staying here, be ready to lose your clothes. I am going to steal all of them.

Sid- U love these so much?

Avu- Yup!! I hv never had a brother and I always asked Riyaz to let me wear his jersey at least but he never allowed me. I love wearing these T-shirts and especially jerseys.

Sid- And I love seeing you wearing them. 

Avu- Good. Now let's discuss our fake relationship. We hv to know each other. 

She raised her head from his lap and rested it against his chest. He circled her in his arms. 

Avu- But first I hv to order a few things online. Give me your phone.

Sid forwarded his phone to her. 

Avu- I will pay from your account now, then when we bring my things, I will pay you back. Ok?

Sid- No need to pay me back.

Avu- Shut up...I will. Now lets see.

She started swiping things.

Avu- Is this good?

Getting no reply, she looked at Sid and found his gaze fixed on a particular part of her body-her legs.

Avu- Siddharth...

Sid- Hmm..

Avu- Look at me.

She forcefully turned his face. But few minutes later, she again felt his burning gaze on her legs. She playfully slapped him bringing back his attention.

Avu- Pervert.

Sid- Sorry but they are so distracting.

Avu- Concentrate on me. 

Sid- Fine.
