To Forge

Now I lay me down to dream

upon a clockwork bed of steam

Now I drift on wind like waves

forgetting war and all its graves

From the smells of open streets

to the branches of copper trees

and the climbs on airship wings

There my heart and mind shall meet

Now I stir this inner boil

as my spirit starts to toil

Now I fill the empty sky

with an ever present eye

From the mountains filled with snow

to the bedrock far below

Let us pray for plates of stone

to turn the wheels as we go

Now I mold the soul in hand

and bend the shape of this land

Now I own the world I make

and the journey that I take

From this heart that hears the plea

somewhere deep inside of me

to the future I hope to forge

in ways we've never known before
