Steampunk Carnival
A lever yet
no clever bet
Had ever beaten
at the end
For timing was a bitch
when trying within an inch
to ring the bell
above their head
Hawkers and gawkers
Charms and bustles
Roadies and toadies
and blokes showing muscle
Strolling in the summer breeze
Stinking air perfumed over
tykes a bouncin' on a ball of steam and
crowds waitin' on the Clockwork Coaster
Cream like ice from cold steel
tasted nice on a day so hot
Bets were played as laid before a wheel
and nuclear steam dogs hit the spot
A chap without a cap sat ignoring the pain
of the clockwork needle sketching ink on his skull
All the town seemed so joyfully insane
over the arrival of the Steampunk carnival
