Maya and Barry had gone back to her place. He was sitting on the couch Maya in his arm in which was wrapped around her shoulder.
She had dozed off shifting to lay on the armrest of the couch.
Barry gets up to get a glass of and he sees the box. He opens it. And what he finds is truly amazing, or at least in his opinion.
He found sketches.  Sketches of people, horses, animals, there where even drawings on human anatomy. He put them away and went to lie down with her again.

The next morning Maya had awoken to an empty house, no Barry Allen. But he did leave a note. 

Maya,
I have left to go to the store and pick up some food as well as a few other things be back around 11:30.

P.s. I love you!

Maya had read the note and smiled, laughing a bit too.
It was also 11:15 so Barry should be returning soon.
Maya heads over to the box. She opens it, pulling out pieces of old artwork.

She hears the door open, yet not shut but she doesn't think much of it because Barry was due to be back around now, so it must be him. But it wasn't, it was someone who had traveled a great distance just to get revenge. This man traveled all the way from the town she used to live in, from Starling city.

"How'd you find me" Barry hears Maya say.
"It wasn't that hard when Monica or shall I say Rose got into that magazine. It didn't just stay in central city. Bitch you put me in jail." A man says continuing to talk. Barry pulls out his phone sending a alert to everyone at star labs, signaling to them he was in trouble. After that he slips his phone in his back pocket and enters the house.

"Barry what are you doing, run" Maya yells realizing Barry is truly back now.

"Who the hell are you" Barry asks the man who has a gun pointed at his girlfriend holding her hands in the air as to signal surrender.

"My name is Leo McDonald. I'll have you know that your bitch help send me away for accessory to her brothers murder when I didn't do nothin, I wasn't even there.  So I'm gonna make her pay for what she did to me!" Leo yells and with that Maya and Barry are knocked out.
