Chapter 16

The group had finished shooting and were heading toward the shooting ground campsite.
And all Maya could do was think to herself, about how she missed her brother, her old life, and if she still had that life how she wouldn't have met the man she gets the privilege of calling her boyfriend. The man named Barry Allen.
"You're broken down and tired,
Of living life on a merry go round,
And you can't find the fighter,
But I see it in you so we gonna walk it out," Maya starts to sing Barry startling her when he laces his fingers within her whisking her out of her previous thoughts.
"And move mountains,
An we gonna walk it out,
And move mountains" she continues to sing quietly.
"You have a beautiful voice" Barry says looking down at her.
"Thanks" she responds turning pink in the cheeks.
She lets go of his hand in which is holding hers. Doing so, as to hold her rifle with both hands and to put it in its case.

Rose is walking behind the two, with Wally and Jesse. For the first time since that day back in high school, Rose felt Maya was truly starting to heal. She also felt like she had met a group of new friends in which she saw herself as one who belonged.

"Can you sing Allen" Maya asks as they reach the camp ground.
"Ms. Parker there are a lot of things I, Barry Allen can do and Singing might be one of them. But  you know the world may never know." Barry says finishing his thought before leaning toward Maya kissing her on the lips.

That romantic moment in which Iris just saw had caused her to walk over to Maya, who he had left anxiously wanting to know if the scarlet speedster could sing.
"By the way he can sing. He was actually a choir boy in Elementary Middle, and High school. Just don't tell him ya heard it from me" Iris says to Maya as she is walking by.
"BARRY ALLEN. IN CHIOR? YOUR JOKING RIGHT?" Maya  says sarcastically while laughing.
"I know, we all didn't see that coming" Iris says with a wink of her eye as she heads for the picnic table.
Maya sets her rifle down pointing towards the woods, loosing her air cylinder all the way and removing it from the rifle. The orange cylinder sitting in her hands reminds her, memories of her brother flooding threw her head.

"Children you both can pick two cylinders. But please have four different colors so we know who's belongs to who." Elisa's mother told her to children as they were getting ready to enter a gun store.
"Well if it isn't the Withers family, how can I help you today?" The shop owner asks.
"We want four air cylinders two for each of us please" Elisa asks politely. "And four different colors as well please" she adds a big smile coming over her face as she is getting ready for her first high school rifle season.
"Let me see, we have green, blue yellow, orange, pink, purple, red, blue-green, black, white, magenta, gold, and silver." the shop owner states pulling one cylinder of each color out of the cabinet behind him.
"I want Orange" William says loudly, Elisa turning and giving her brother a dirty look.
"Fine I'll take blue-green and yellow!" The fourteen year old girl says grabbing them of the counter and handing them to her mother, before she sticks her tongue out at her younger brother.

"Thanks Mom" the two siblings say in unison cylinders in hands waiting for the woman to unlock the doors to the truck.
"So William got orange and red, you got teal and yellow" The mother of the two children states.
"Mom it's not Teal it's blue-green, blue-green" Elisa says, William laughing at her from the passenger seat.

In that moment Barry notices a change in his girlfriends body language, her emotions "You ok, what's wrong" he asks.
"That air cylinder, it belonged to William, her brother. Which reminds me, your parents, well your father he told me about how they still have his rifle . They couldn't bring themselves to sell it or give it away so it's in a storage unit your dad has.
"I can't, it's my fault he's gone. I was the reason he was shot all because I was to stupid to realize that" Maya starts stopping herself mid thought. "They made me feel like it was my fault. And in all honesty it was. So I can't just go say 'hey dad sorry I haven't seen ya in the past 6 years I was to busy hiding from my demons' I just can't."
"I'll go with you" Barry and Rose say at the same time looking at each other afterwards, and laughing a bit.
"Mmhh" was all Maya could say in response.

So they made a plan as to go visit Maya's father the next day for a surprise lunch at his house.
