Joe takes a small group from the CCPD to the place where Maya's phone is pinging.
"Umm can I help you" Matthew says exiting his house still wearing his pajamas.
"Seen these two" Joe questions.
"Yeah Maya Parker and her boyfriend Barry was it? Yeah they were here yesterday" Matthew responds.
"Well did ya see her leave" one of the police ask.
"No I was busy in my house" Matthew responds.
"Well can we search the woods?" Joe asks
"Sure why not, I mean I'm pretty sure they aren't here but go ahead, have at it.  " Matthew responds heading back into his house.
"Go" joe says, a few officers going to their cars and coming back with there search dogs.
"Seek" they say having let the dogs smell articles of clothing, one dog smelling Barry's dirty Shirt, another smelling Maya's S.T.A.R. Labs hoodie.

Mays's struggling to breathe and that's when she hears Barry, he came back. He couldn't just leave her there, he loved her. He was going to stick with her, he knew someone would find them eventually. But he didn't know that it was gonna be, and he definitely didn't know the help was gonna get there as soon as it was going to.
Three hours had passed since Joe and some of CCPD started searching for the two CSIs. 
"Joe we got something" someone yells Joe runs over to them.
"What is that" He questions.
"Looks like horse hair, brown in color, and a lynx print . . . in blood" the women says kneeling down.

"Maya I'll be right back" Barry says kissing Maya on the forehead before getting up grabbing the pocket knife and head in the direction of the woods.

Joe hears the rustling of the brush that make up the woods, so he grips his gun so that he's ready to shoot a lynx that these woods apparently hold.
"Joe, it's Maya we need help, call an ambulance" Barry yells as  he heads back in the direction he came from.

"Maya" Joe says as he kneels down beside her.
"How's Autumn" She questions, Joe looking at Barry and Barry looking at Joe.
"Joe the paramedics are really far out, two hours minimum to get out here then" A police officer says before being interrupted by Barry.
"Hey, you think if you have help maybe you can walk?" Barry asks Maya who nods yes in response.
So Joe and Barry help her up, each taking an arm to help guide her in walking as they head back to get her help.

They were at the labs after a few long hours of heading back from where Maya and Barry were had been found.
Matthew had gone with and that's when he broke some bad news.
"Maya I think the best thing for Autumn is" Matthew starts saying,
"No don't you fuckn dare, NO!" Maya yells.
"Hey, Maya, hey, I need you to calm down" Caitlin says.
"You can't, you won't. She's my horse" Maya continues to yell.
"I'm gonna have to give her Ativan, her blood pressures to high her body it's not gonna put up with it for much longer at this rate." Caitlin says putting a needle in the IV she already has going in Maya's arm, and in an instant Maya's out cold.

"What do I do." Matthew asks
"She can be mad at me after this, but do what's in  the best interests of the horse. And if that means putting her to sleep than do so" Joe says.
