Chapter Thirty Six ~ Bittersweet Moments

Lucy walked down the hall of the school towards the library with Levy. They had been having fun teasing the boys all day long today. She could tell it was driving Natsu crazy, and honestly, she loved being the one to make him blush for once. It was always the opposite because he found it so cute to embarrass her and make her turn red.

"So Lucy, what are you thinking about writing your report on for the psychology class?" Levy asked not paying attention to her friends slightly distracted state.

"Oh.. huh.." she paused to think about it for a moment,  "I guess I'm going to write about Astrological Psychology."

"Astrological Psychology, huh?" Levy asked. "That sounds interesting. What exactly is it?" She asked curiously.

"Well it basically is a combination between astrology, you know the Zodiacs and the stars and all that, and psychology itself. Which the funny thing is that psychology more or less originated from astrology, but the two together are a truly unique study. There are so many interesting facts about the Zodiac's and astrology. Like did you know that even though every person only falls under one Zodiac sign there are people that show the characteristics of two signs?" Lucy spoke confidently but Levy could tell there was some excitement in her voice too.

"Really, how is that possible?" Levy asked.

"Well if your birth date falls during the change of the Sun's movement from one zodiac to the next you actually show traits of both signs. It's only a three day period for the movement and these people are known as Cusps. Then after that there are stages for each Zodiac. Stages 1, 2, and 3. And each stage represents the differences in personality traits for all the people in that Zodiac. So a stage 3 would be completely different then a stage 1." Lucy carried on with no thought what so ever.

"Wow, you really like this kind of stuff huh?" Levy asked her blonde friend as they walked.

Lucy looked at her with a kind of sad smile, "Yeah actually I do." She paused for a moment as if remembering something before she spoke again. "My mom and I used to study the stars and the Zodiacs a lot when I was a little girl before she died. She used to tell me that the Zodiacs would always empower me. That with belief in them they would always be there for me."

Levy just starred at her friend for a moment before she gently spoke, "I can see why you love them so much then. I know you must miss her very much."

Lucy smiled as she stopped walking and looked back at her friend. "You know I do, but I believe she is still with me in the stars, and if it hadn't been for her I never would have had the strength to come back here. So she still blesses me because she brought me to all of you, and even back to Natsu."

Levy reached out and hugged her friend with a big smile, "Well I'm glad she did!" The two girls giggled a little and then headed into the library. They found the books they needed to study with then decided to head towards their homes with them so they could get some much needed studying done.

When Lucy finally made it home with her stack of books she decided to go change clothes. While her outfit had done its job well today it wasn't exactly practical for laying around studying in. She walked into her bedroom and grabbed her favorite lounging-around-the-house clothes. She pulled her hair into a messy bun then decided to hop in the shower real quick before changing because it had been a rather hot day outside today.

She walked into the bathroom and turned the water on, allowing it to warm up while she undressed. She climbed in and relaxed as the hot water hit her body. After a few minutes she grabbed the soap and her loofa and washed off. "Aww, that feels so much better," She said as she climbed out of the shower reaching for the towel that was hanging on the towel rack beside her.

Except the towel wasn't there.

"What in the world?" She questioned out loud. "I could have sworn that I hung that towel back right here this morning." She spun around looking to make sure that she didn't accidentally set it somewhere else.

Nope, no towel.

"Maybe I carried it to the laundry room this morning and forgot," She mumbled to no one, "Guess Ill just have to go get another one." She said as she walked dripping wet to the laundry room to get another towel.

Of course the laundry room was on the other side of the apartment, next to the kitchen. "Crap I hope I closed the blinds this morning!" She tiptoed down the hall way and peaked into the living room and towards the kitchen.

Great! She thought to herself as she sighed in relief that the blinds were in fact closed. She quicky scurried through the kitchen and into the laundry room to grab a towel. She looked on the shelf.

"What the hell?!" She screamed as she realized there were no towels on the shelves either. She looked around to see what was going on. There wasn't anyone there that she could see. She started to get nervous though. Why would someone come in a steal all your towels Lucy? She lectured herself. You're being crazy.

Still she was a little afraid at the moment and decided she was going to lock herself in her room and call someone to come and check things out for her. She turned and ran towards her bedroom as quickly as she could.

When she made the turn to run down her hallway she felt herself slam into a warm, but firm body. She screamed out as she started to fall back only to have herself caught and pulled tightly up against whomever it was.

Her breath caught though as the body holding her pulled her closer, kissed her ear, and whispered in his sexy husky voice. "So let's talk about this hell you put me through all day," His tone growing increasingly seductive as he started to kiss down her neck while he picked her up and carried her to the bedroom. " I think it's time for a little pay back."
