Chapter Fourteen~ The Ride
Lucy looked up at Natsu and shook her head letting him know to not get the police involved in everything.
"Yes sir, everything is great." Natsu said with a smile. He was clearly aggravated that he had been interrupted from his moment with Lucy. Which as bad as she wanted it, and OMG! SHE WANTED IT BAD!! In the school gym after watching him pummel someone half to death wasn't exactly how she wanted to remember her first kiss with Natsu.
She grabbed his hand getting his attention. He turned to look at her as she spoke"What do you say we clean you up and then we can head to the restaurant where everyone is?"
Natsu looked at her for a moment running his hand through her hair. "As great as that sounds I have a better idea." He said as his hand gently trailed down her arm. Taking her hand in his he pulled her out of the gym and into the quad heading towards the parking lot.
They stopped at his bike. "Let's go for a ride Luce. Let me show you my passion." He said as his onyx eyes burned deep into her soul. Right now she didn't care where they went. They could literally take a trip to hell and back, and she would be happy as long as she was doing it with him. She stared back into his eyes. Her desire for him obvious. She watched as that same passion flickered through his eyes. He climbed on his bike and stretched his hand out to her. "Do you trust me Lucy?" He asked in the most sincere voice.
She placed her hand in his as she smiled back at him, "I have trusted you all my life." With that statement he helped her climb on the back of his bike. She wrapped her hands tightly around his waist as she felt him tense at the warmth of her hands rubbing against his abs.
"Hold on to me beautiful. Whichever way I move, you do the same.. and Luce, Whatever you do don't let go." He winked as he looked back over his shoulder and into her eyes.
"I don't plan on ever letting go," Lucy whispered leaning her head into his shoulderblade. With that Natsu started his bike and and tore away from the school. He rode gently at first giving Lucy time to adjust to the vibrations of the bike underneath her, and how to better balance herself. She leaned closer into him and adjusted herself. She felt him lean forward a little bit and then lay down on the throttle.
She drowned in his smokey scent as they flew down the highway. The lights of the streets the only revealing the image of them so closely molded together down below l. Her hair whipped in the wind around her face as she closed her eyes taking in every moment of this ride together. She gripped herself tighter around Natsu loving every moment.
She felt free. She felt like time was standing still. She thought to herself, I can see why he loves this! She smiled into his back as she opened her eyes looking to see they were no longer in the city.
Instead they were riding down an open highway along the cliff with the vision of the ocean next time them. The sight took Lucy's breath away. She silently smiled at the view of how the stars and the ocean melted into each other. She honestly couldn't tell where one ended and the other began. She couldn't remember a moment in her life she had ever been so happy, so uninhibited. She never wanted this moment to end. She needed this. To be right here with him, in this moment, she craved it, and she wanted it to last forever.
They rode for a while before Natsu pulled onto an embankment at the top of the cliff over looking all of Magnolia. He climbed off the bike and then helped Lucy off. He held his free hand out towards the edge letting Lucy walk past him. She gasped at the sight that she saw before her. She could see all the lights of the city and the sky below her melting together in the sea. She had never seen anything like this before. The sight sent shivers down her spine at its beauty.
"This is my favorite place to come to when I need time to myself," Natsu stated as he walked up behind her wrapping his arms around her shoulders. She leaned back into his rock hard chest. He felt so comfortable and warm to her. She leaned her head into the crook of his neck as she stared out at the ocean.
"I can see why," she said quietly, "it's the most beautiful sight I have ever seen."
"Yes you are," he leaned down and whispered in her ear, his lips grazing her ear as his nose nuzzled her hair. She turned to face him wrapping her arms around his waist. All she could do was stare in his eyes.
His eyes were different from how they normally look. They were darker than usual, but not in a bad way. She felt she could see every part of his soul in that moment.
Like he was giving himself to her whole heartedly. Her heart leapt at the thought. And she was gonna give herself back to him in the same manner. She finally broke eye contact with him as she leaned her head into his chest. "Natsu????" She asked.
"Yeah Luce?" He responded placing his chin on top of her head. She felt like now was the time to tell him.
She lifted her head looking into his eyes. "Can I tell you something?" Her cheeks turning the ever slightest shade of pink that he could barely notice through the moonlight.
"You can always tell me anything," she smiled back down at her.
She looked down for a moment before meeting his gaze again. Her brown eyes lit up, "it's because of you." She stated.
"Because of me?" He asked looking slightly confused.
" Yes, it's because of you I was able to hold on all the years I was gone. That's why I came back here, because I believed in my heart you would still be here, and that I might find you again." She felt his arm tighten around her as he lifted his other hand and gently cupped her chin.
"Really?" He questioned searching her eyes for her sincerity. "Are you serious?"
"Yes, Natsu," she quietly spoke. "I have loved you my entire life. There wasn't a day that I didn't think of you."
He leaned down placing his forehead against hers. "I felt the same way, Lucy." He replied. "I just didn't handle it how I should have. I wanted to find you but I had no idea where to look." He closed his eyes.
She could feel his breath against her cheek. The warmth made her weak as she pulled her lips closer to his. "It doesn't matter now," she said, "what matters now is we found each other."
She lifted her arms wrapping them around his neck and he slide his hands down her arms, then her back, and slowly wrapping them around her waist. Pulling her as close as she could possibly be he gazed deep into her eyes. " I want to kiss you right now Lucy." He stated with hesitation in his voice.
"Then what's stopping you?" She asked quietly as she leaned forward and closed the distance between their lips.
