Chapter Four~ Friday Nights in Magnolia
The rest of the day ran pretty smoothly for Lucy. She didn't have many issues finding her one class that she had since she and Levy had it together. Come to think of it, they had most of the same classes, but that's to be expected when you pretty much are both going for the same degrees.
After class she decided to walk around a little more and get a better feel for the place until she was ready to go back to her new apartment and unpack her stuff, which let's be honest, who wants to do that? So instead she sat under the sakura tree reading a book she had found in the library. As she sat reading her phone vibrated letting her know she had received a text. Of course it was from her only friend here so far.
Levy:
Hey Lucy, what are your plans for tonight?
Lucy:
Idk. Probably just go home, unpack, and watch a little Netflix. Y is there something better going on?
Levy:
Well.. .there is a street race tonight and of course a big party afterwards. Everyone goes. Do you wanna go with me?
Lucy thought about it for a little bit. A street race huh? It could be fun. Maybe I'll even meet a few new people. She picked up her phone and responded.
Lucy:
Yea that sounds great! Do you wanna meet up some where to go?
Levy:
Yeah! How about at 7 at the pizza spot two blocks over from the west side of campus? We can eat there then head to where the race is.
Lucy:
Ok... ttyl.
Levy:
See you later girl.... :) o btw, make sure you dress cute ;p there are always a ton of cute guys there.
Lucy closed her messages and looked at the time. It was three-thirty now. She had better get moving if she was gonna make it on time because she still had to search through boxes to find something to wear.
She got up from under the tree and started walking in the direction of her apartment. As she walked along she looked around at all the different places that were near the campus. She was honestly shocked at how little it felt had changed here. It was still the busy little city she remembered as a child. All those years ago. She often thought about this place after her father took her away. About her classmates and her friends. Especially her friends. Honestly, they were the whole reason she came back to Magnolia. The problem was she was back and had no idea where to even begin to find them.
As she reached her apartment she unlocked the door and entered bending down to pet her little dog Plue.
"Hi sweetie, did you miss mommy?" She asked in a sweet little voice while petting the dog on the head. He dog yapped and licked her hand. She stood back up and walked the rest of the way inside looking around. It was a sweet little loft upstairs above a bakery so it smelled amazing all the time. Especially when they were making the fresh strawberry cakes in the mornings. It made the apartment smell of strawberry and vanilla which lingered on her clothes all day long.
As she walked into her bedroom she looked around for the boxes that contained her going out clothes. She finally found them and started digging through them looking for the perfect outfit for tonight. She wanted to look good. Even if she wasn't looking for a relationship; it didn't mean she still couldn't make all the guys wish they could get her.
After digging through her clothes for a while she finally found the items she was looking for. She pulled them out and smiled as she headed to the shower to wash off.
She turned the shower on and let it get good and hot before she climbed in. It was something about the burning heat of the water that always felt so good against her skin. She didn't understand why but she had always loved the heat. She stood under the water with her head back letting the water trickle down her skin, as it poured off at the peaks of her breasts. She stood like that for some time allowing the heat to melt away all her stress of the day. After a while she finally washed her hair and body then climbed out of the shower and grabbed the nearest towel to dry off.
Time to get ready she thought to herself as she walked back into her bedroom throwing her towels on the back of her desk chair and heading towards her dresser to pull out a cute little bra and panty set to wear. She sat on her bed as she lotioned herself up and then started to put her clothes on. She put on her distressed jeans, a camouflage crop top, and a pair of black wedge heels.
Once she was dressed she looked herself over in the mirror. Damn, this looks pretty good. She thought to herself with a smile. She decided to leave her hair lose instead of her normal pony tail. It flowed down her back and framed her face perfectly. She applied a little mascara and lip gloss to her face then she picked up her phone. It's 6:15, I better get outta here or Levy is gonna be waiting for me! She thought as she grabbed her black leather jacket and purse then headed out the door towards the pizza place.
When she arrived at the pizza place she saw Levy sitting with a beautiful red head at a table by the window. She waved at them as she walked towards the door.
"Hey Lucy!" Levy shouted at her as she walked up to the table. "You look absolutely amazing." The petite bluenette grinned at Lucy.
"Thank you." Lucy replied. She looked over at the red head. She smiled as she reached out her hand, " Hi I'm lucy." She introduced herself.
The red head took Lucy's hand and responded, "Nice to meet you. I am
Erza Scarlett."
Lucy took a seat at the table as the waiter came over to get their orders. They ordered a large pizza to share and Lucy ordered a vanilla milkshake, Levy ordered a Coke, and Erza... well Erza went straight to the good stuff.... strawberry cake. They sat around talking about small talk while they waited on the food to arrive.
"So, what do you think of Fairytail U so far?" Erza asked taking a bite of her cake.
"Well I've only been here a day so far but my class today was actually pretty interesting. I can't wait to see how the rest turn out next week." She replied after swallowing a sip of her milkshake. "I'm still a little nervous though since I don't really know anyone."
"Well that's to be expected," Erza said, "The people there are really great. Just be careful of the campus badboys. They are known for breaking hearts around school." Erza smirked. "Just ask Levy."
"What is that supposed to mean?!" Levy shouted.
"We all know you're in love with Gajeel, Levy. That's why we're going to the race tonight isn't it?" Erza grinned back at Levy.
Levy blushed bright red at Erza's proclamation. "T-that isn't true at all! I I just love going to the races is all." Levy responded trying to hide her embarrassment on being called out so bluntly.
Lucy and Erza just looked at Levy and let out a little giggle. "Well that's not obvious at all." Lucy spoke. The three girls giggled as they continued their meals.
Once they were done eating they talked for a little bit longer before deciding it was about time to head to the area where the race was gonna be held at.
As they walked along the street on the way to the race Lucy couldn't help but think about what Erza had said earlier, 'Be careful of the campus badboys. They will break your heart.'
