The Metamorphosis
When I got back to the mansion, a dark cloud had covered most of England. Almost everybody that lived here was staying inside from fear of the storm. I heard a loud crash and a frightened scream as I neared the mansion, so I put on a burst of demonic speed, hurrying into the mansion. I forced open the master's bedroom door, which for some reason was locked. (F/n) sat in the corner of the room, curled up with tears falling down her eyes. 'She must've been the one to scream.' I thought. The master was standing in front of her, smiling. As soon as they both turned to me, (F/n) ran to my side, gripping my arm. "Sebastian! where have you been?! (F/n) has lost her mind!"
Ciel smiled at me. "Oh, good! Sebastian is back! This should be excellent!" He said, lunging for (F/n).
I quickly pulled her out of the way. "Young master, listen to me! This is not you!"
(F/n) looked up at me, confused. "What are you talking about?!"
Suddenly, Ciel and (F/n) both cried out, holding their heads. I wasn't sure which one to comfort, so I watched both of them with a worried expression on my face. "S-Sebastian!!! My...." (F/n) started speaking.
"Head!" Ciel finished. He opened his eyes, the pain suddenly gone. He quickly got to his feet, backing away from (F/n) I followed him, standing between them.
(F/n) started laughing. Her normally cheerful voice, was now a little deeper, raspier. To be blunt, it sounded like a demon. "You know... I never thought that I would lose control like this..." She said, hunched over.
Ciel hugged my arm. I could feel him trembling.
(F/n) gave out a small cry of pain. "S-Sebastian! Get Ciel out of here! Please!! It's not safe!!" She warned, her voice back to normal for the moment. She was breathing heavily. "Just both of you, get out of here!!!"
Ciel flinched a little, almost deciding whether or not to make a dash for the door. (F/n) started laughing creepily again. "My human side still thinks that there is a way to save your pathetic life, Ciel Phantomhive." She cackled, looking up at him. "And...what's this? The human side has feelings for his demon butler, Sebastian Michaelis too? This is too much!!" She laughed. The slight sound of bones shifting, and cracking could be heard. (F/n) slowly got a little taller. "And now...the metamorphosis has started!" Ciel slowly started to sway before falling over. I quickly caught him before he could hit the ground. I could tell he was struggling to stay conscious. 'I need to hurry... I'm not sure how much longer the master can hold on.'
(F/n) looked up into my eyes. I flinched for a moment before I realized they were full of terror. "Please..." she said in her demonic voice, "go....just...GO!!!" She yelled, punching the wall with her hand which slowly turned into a claw.
I dashed out of the room with the master in my arms, already wishing that I hadn't seen her start to change. We got almost down the stairs, before we could heard her menacing laugh once again. "It'S tImE fOr DiNnEr, CiEl!!!!" She called, running down the hallway. Her hands and feet had turned to claws with black nails, her eyes now a glowing red. I quickly jumped down to the bottom of the stairs and looked up. She grew black wings and soared above us, smiling down with her sharp fangs showing.
Ciel gripped my tail coat weakly. "Sebas...tian! What's... happening?!"
"She's after your soul, young master. We must hurry away, if you want to stay alive." I said quickly. (F/n) dove at us with her claws, but I was able to jump out of the way fast enough. The whole manor shook when she landed.
"LeT's PlAy A gAmE, sEbAsTiAn! LeT's PlAy TaG! i'M iT~!!" She growled, swooping for us again. I managed to dodge the attack again, covering the Young master so he wouldn't be harmed. The servants, hearing the commotion, ran into the room.
"Finny! Mey-Rin! Bard! Please protect the young master with your lives!!" I called to them as I laid the child down in a chair. The servants all hurried down the stair, dodging the attacks from (F/n) as they came to stand by me, protecting the young master. I looked up at (F/n) and smiled, taking a step forwards. I threw a knife into one of her wings. 'She may not be human, but she's still much less stronger than a demon.' I thought, throwing another knife at her. She screeched as it embedded itself into her other wing, causing her to fall to the ground. She coughed for a moment, before turning her eyes to me.
They were back to normal. "S...Sebastian... You must... take Ciel's soul back! I...will do everything I can...To...free him!" She said in her normal voice. She coughed again before her eyes turned back to red. She screamed in agony. "YOu'Re GoInG tO kIlL uS!! sToP tHiS!!" She screamed again as both her human and Vyris sides fought. A loud snap could be heard throughout the room. the girl cried out on the floor. "S-Sebastian! My soul has been cracked! Ciel's soul should be able to escape!" she said. Slowly a deep blue orb of light floated out of her chest and over into the young master, who sat up quickly.
Ciel looked around before his eyes landed on me. "Sebastian! This is an order!! Save (F/n)!!"
I turned back to the writhing girl on the floor. She couldn't control her movements, curled up into a ball from the pain. I could feel hot tears prick the back of my eyes. I had never seen her like this before. Surely if I was a human, my heart would've broken. But even so... I still felt something aching inside of my chest. Without looking back at him, I responded to his order.
"Young master...I'm not sure... that it is possible..."
