The Beginning

As I fell, time seemed to slow down. I was falling slower and slower. I looked up as Sebastian, who was slowly shouting something that I couldn't hear. 'What's going on?' I thought.
'Time has slowed down. But only for a few minutes.' Sebastian answered telepathically. 'I first want to tell you that there is nothing I can do to save you...'
'Figures. So I'm going to die then?' I asked.
If Sebastian could nod, he would have. 'I am sorry, but yes.'
'So. This is how my life ends...' I thought for a moment. 'You know... Sebastian... I've never actually... told you how I felt.'
Sebastian chuckled. 'You didn't seem to have to. I guess we just, as you humans would say, "clicked".'
I laughed a little. 'Yeah. I guess we did.' We were both silent for a moment as I fell past a window, where Ciel was running in slow-motion towards the window, no doubt trying to save me. I could feel a few tears prick my eyes. 'I wonder if Ciel will cry when I'm gone...'
'(F/n)?' Sebastian asked.
'Yes?'
'Do you remember when I said, "Your blood alcohol level was a .35. Any higher and you could've died."?'
'Yeah, and I answered, "So? No one would've cared." what about it?'
'I said, "that statement was false. At the very least, two people would've cared." Those two people, would've been me, and the young master.'
A tear slowly fell down my cheek. 'Y...You really mean that?' I asked.
I could hear the smile in his thoughts. 'Of course. After all... I love you...'
At that moment, I just wanted to run into his arms. To be alone in the universe, with the one person that I love the most. Even if I couldn't have that, just being able to spend the rest of my life with the new people that I've met, Ciel, Finny, Mei-Rin, Bardroy, and of course Sebastian, would be enough.
I started to sob inside. 'Please... Please, Sebastian, isn't there someway that you can save me? I don't want to die!!' I cried in my thoughts.
Sebastian smiled sadly. "I'm sorry.... There is nothing that I can do."
I turned my eyes toward him. "Wait, how did you..." I trailed off, realizing that we were both speaking out loud.
Sebastian smiled. Actually smiled. Not in slow motion. "Well. Now that, that has worn off." He said, jumping off of the building.
My eyes widened. "Sebastian!!!"
He winked at me as he wrapped his arms around me, and time returned to normal. When we landed, Sebastian had caught me bridal style, and my arms were around his neck. Everyone was staring at us either from the roof, or through the window. I was sobbing into Sebastian's coat. "H-How... How could you be that cruel?! You let me think that I was going to die!"
Sebastian nodded softly. "Originally, I thought that you were. Since time was slowed down, I could not act to save you. But once I figured out how time was slowed down, I just had to wait until it wore off before I could save you."
I looked up at him, tears still running down my cheeks. "Y-You couldn't have told me that you figured it out?"
He frowned. "But then it might have gone wrong. And the person who slowed time down would have hurt you even more. That person, of course, being-"
"Dammit, Undertaker!" Grell cursed, "You promised me that this would work!!"
The Undertaker shrugged. His scythe was gone, and his hair was back over his eyes. "I didn't count on the butler figuring it out and saving her. Good job."
Sebastian bowed a little. "Why thank you. But now, I must do something to the ones that attempted to hurt the lady, and my master." He growled, eyes flashing an evil pink.
Grell shrieked, grabbing Drossel by the waist. "Let's get out of here!" And with that, he jumped off of the building, and ran away as fast as he could.
The Undertaker jumped down from the roof as well, landing in front of Sebastian. "Well. That didn't go as planned." He said, digging around in his pocket. He tossed a small bottle at Sebastian, who caught it. "That's the antidote. I'm not really interested in this girl so much anymore. She has healed fully from the split, therefore, she is no longer of any use to me."
Sebastian looked at the pills then handed them to me. I looked at them, then looked back up at the Undertaker. "Wh-Why did you want me?"
The Undertaker waved his hand. "That's not important right now. What is important right now, is that the guests for the Earl's party are arriving."
"WHAT?!" Ciel shrieked from the window. "SEBASTIAN! DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS! FIX THE MANOR AND HAVE EVERYTHING READY AS FAST AS YOU CAN!"
Sebastian smirked. "Yes, my lord." Carrying me, Sebastian jumped up to the window where Ciel was, setting me on my feet. He smiled. "If you'll excuse me." He said, racing off.
I looked at Ciel. "What party?"
He rolled his eyes. "It's my annual Christmas party. That's actually the real reason why Madam Red and inspector Aberline are here. The party gets me better business, so I have it yearly, even though it's a bother."
I smiled. "Ciel. You would actually care if I died?"
Ciel blushed a little. "I-I mean... I wouldn't really say cared, but..." he nodded. "I-I would say that I would not be in the best of moods."
I smiled. "Thanks. It's good to know that I have a friend."
Ciel smiled a little. "Okay. I have a dress for you in your room. I'm going to my room to get ready. Sebastian will be in to help you after-"
"I am done, young master." Sebastian said from behind me.
Ciel nodded. "Good. Come help me get dressed, then you can go and help (F/n)." He ordered, walking away.
Sebastian winked at me as he walked away. "I'll be there soon. Please excuse us."
I nodded, blushing a little, and hurried off to my room. 'Where did the Undertaker-' As I was thinking and opening my door, I saw the Undertaker standing at the end of the hallway. I blinked for a moment, not moving. "A-Are you-"
"Going to capture you or anything? No. I've lost interest, remember?" He answered.
I looked at the floor for a moment before returning my eyes to his. "U-Um... Wh-Why are you-"
"I'm staying for the party. I'm invited every year, but this is the first year that I've ever actually gone." He chuckled, pushing off of the wall. "Of course, I'm not really dressed for a party, but I hope that the Earl will over look that little fact."
I thought for a moment. "I-I bet Sebastian keeps a few extra suits for special occasions. F-Follow me." I said, turning and walking down the hallway. The Undertaker hurried to catch up with me. I could feel that he wanted to ask me a question, but he kept it to himself for the time being, so we arrived at Sebastian's room in silence. I opened the door, and looked around. I found his closet, so I walked over and opened the door. There were a few extra tailcoats, and two suits. I grabbed one of them, and handed it to the Undertaker. "D-Do you need any help?"
The Undertaker shook his head. "No. I will be fine."
I nodded and started towards the door. "Wait. (F/n)." He said as I reached for the doorknob. I turned around. "Why are you doing this? I did try to kill you, after all."
I smiled a little. "I wanted to show you kindness, because someone else showed me kindness."
The Undertaker smiled. "It was the Earl, wasn't it?"
I nodded a little. "He may act grumpy all the time, but underneath, he's still a child. And children want to give love as much as they want to be shown love." I placed my hand on the doorknob and opened the door. "After all," I grinned, "It is Christmas."

I hurried to my room to find the most I've ever seen before. (Can choose a different dress) I gazed at it in wonder as the door opened. "I had it specially made for you so that we could match." someone said. I turned my head to see Sebastian leaning against the door.
I smiled. "I-I hope you don't mind, bu-"
"I already know." Sebastian cut me off. "I thought it was.... sweet."
I shrugged. "Thought maybe it would do him some good."
Sebastian chuckled. "Let's get you ready before the master throws a fit."

After Sebastian and I got dressed, we walked out into the crowd of dancing people. I looked around, and saw the other servants standing in a group in the corner of the room. They all saw us and waved us over. Bardroy's suit matched Rose's and Finny's matched Mei-Rin's. Mei-Rin and rose chatted away about our clothes and the food, While Finny, Sebastian and Bardroy discussed something. I glanced at Sebastian as Rose talked. He glanced at me as well, and took my hand. "Pardon me, but I'm afraid I am going to steal Ms. (F/n) From you for a bit."
Both Rose and Mei-Rin blushed, nodding. Sebastian led me through the crowd and onto the dance floor. "May I have this dance?" He asked.
I giggled and nodded, placing one had in his, and laying the other on his shoulder. We danced for a few minutes before Sebastian finally spoke up. "So. What is your plan?"
I tilted my head to the side slightly. "What do you mean?"
"Do you plan on going anywhere? Going to see the world, buying your own house?" He suggested.
"I... I haven't really thought about it." I answered. Sebastian nodded and we were both silent for a moment. "But... I-I would like to finish school. A-And fulfill my dream."
It was Sebastian's turn to tilt his head. "May I ask what your dream is?"
I smiled. "I want to become a writer." My smile slowly faded.
Sebastian tilted my chin upwards. "What is the matter, my dear?"
I avoided looking into his eyes. "I... I have to at least have a high school degree to have a book published... and... the only high school that will accept me around here is Ouran Academy."
Sebastian frowned. "That's nearly three hours away."
I nodded, feeling tears come to my eyes. I-I know... and... I-I don't have any money to pay for it..."
Sebastian took a deep breath. "If I could pay for it... Would you go?"
I looked into his eyes. "I... I don't know... I-I don't know if I could stand leaving you."
The butler smiled, taking my hand in his chin. "But my dear. This is your dream. Please do not let me hold you back from achieving it."
I blinked back tears from my eyes as Sebastian brought me into an embrace. "I would be fine. And you would be fine. I would do my best to visit you often." I nodded into his suit, unable to look him in the eyes. Sebastian sighed after a few minutes. "(F/n)." He said, taking my hand, "Follow me."
Sebastian led me out onto the terrace, into the cool, night air. He took both of my hands in his, the moon glinting in his wine-red eyes. "(F/n)," He said, pulling something out of his pocket. It was a stack of cash. "I want you to go to Ouran."
I gasped. "S-Sebastian! Where did you get this?!"
He shrugged. "The Young master gives me a bit of cash in case of emergencies."
I looked up into his eyes. "S-Sebastian... H.... How am I going to do this? I-I have to register, a-and I have to have uniforms made, and I have to pay the tuition, and-"
Sebastian pressed his lips to mine. My eyes widened as he pulled away. "(F/n) It's alright. I'll take care of everything."
A few tears started to fall down my cheeks. "Sebastian... I-I won't get to see you anymore..."
Sebastian smiled a little, pulling something out of his pocket, sliding it onto my finger. "Here. This will help you to never forget me." He smiled. I looked down to find a beautiful ring of silver with a beautiful wine-red gem set inside of it.
I gasped again. "Sebastian! It's beautiful!" I grinned, pulling something out of my own pocket in my dress. A dress. with pockets. I'm not really sure why. Anyways, I took the item, and slid it on Sebastian's finger. "Here. This is for you. I guess it's for you to remember me by."
Sebastian looked at the beautiful silver ring with a (e/c) stone set in it. "It is most beautiful, my lady. thank you very much."
We hugged each other as the moon rose high in the sky, illuminating the night around us.
"Merry Christmas, Sebastian."
"Merry Christmas, (F/n)."

(One month later: Sunday: January 7th.)
I looked back at the mansion as I stood outside of the carriage. Mei-Rin and Finny were crying, Bardroy was trying to calm them down, Ciel was staring at me with his arms folded, and Sebastian was placing the last of the bags into the carriage. When Sebastian finished, he stood next to me. "Everything is packed and ready."
Ciel unfolded his arms. "Now, you'll be joining in the middle of the semester, so catch up as quickly as possible. I will be checking in on you whether you like it or not. You'd better do good."
I giggled a little, nodding. "I will." I took a few steps forward, hugging him. To my surprise, he actually hugged me back. "Thank you, Ciel. For everything."
The boy pulled away, nodding. "Goodbye, (F/n)." He said, before turning around and yelling at the servants to return to the mansion.
When we were alone, Sebastian looked into my eyes. "Well. This is it."
That one sentence. That one, sad, lonely sentence, made me start to sob. I cried and cried for what seemed like hours into his tailcoat. After I started to calm down a little, Sebastian smiled. "It's alright. We'll send each other letters. We'll keep in touch." He lifted my chin so that I looked him in the eyes, and placed his hand on my cheek. "I'll always love you."
I smiled back, placing my hand over his. "I-I'll always love you too..."
Sebastian pressed his lips to mine. But something about this kiss was different than the one from Christmas. This one was full of passion. One that seemed to linger on my lips even after we had parted. Sebastian helped me up into the carriage, and shut the door, staring into the window. "I love you, (F/n)." He smiled.
I smiled back, tears still stinging my eyes. "I love you too."
"I will see you later."
I nodded. "Definitely."
Sebastian smacked his hand twice on the carriage wall, and the driver took off. I watched through the back window as the manor that I loved and held so dear to my heart slowly shrank, and then disappeared behind the trees and the horses galloped away from the mansion.
I turned back around in my seat, and noticed a box wrapped in beautiful blue wrapping paper with my name on it. I reached over, plucking it from the seat, and ripping the paper opened. There was a letter inside of the box. I opened it and read it aloud.
"Dear (F/n), Go out and achieve your dream. I will always be supporting you no matter what. I love you. Sebastian."
I looked into the box to find a with a pencil sitting inside. Wiping the tear from my cheek, I took them out and opened the notebook to the first page. With a smile on my face, I started to write.

It was a crisp Monday afternoon. "Mom, why do we have to move?"
