Memories of a Past Life

  *(F/n)'s POV*
I opened my eyes to find myself in a mansion that I didn't remember. The bedroom that I was in had a smaller sized bed, and smelled like smoke. I coughed a little. 'Is there a fire?!' A little girl in the bed sat up, screaming. Tears were falling down her tiny cheeks as she looked around the room with wide, terrified eyes.
The door flung opened to reveal a tall man who I remembered seeing before. It was Dr. Fujimoto. He ran over to the side of the bed, ripping the blankets back. "(F/n), come on, we've got to get out of here!" He cried, picking her up and placing a blanket around her. My eyes widened as I realized who it was.
It was me.
Dr. Fujimoto ran out of the room and started down the hallway. I followed him, not knowing what else to do. 'How did he get here so fast? It's....almost as if...he knew!' I thought, horrified. I followed him around the mansion, because he had no idea where he was going. He came to a room where a woman was tied up to a bed post. She screamed as the flames lapped at her back. I took a few steps back, realizing who she was.
It was my mother.
I hurried over to her to try untying the ropes, but my hands went right through them. 'I...I'm a ghost?' The little girl shrieked, reaching for the woman as the doctor smirked and shut the door. "It's too late, little (F/n). She was already gone when we got here." 'It...It was him....He killed my mother!!' I hurried after him and followed him as he finally got outside. A group of people with torches smiled as the doctor came out. One of them kicked a box over to him. "There's your payment. It's been nice working with you." He snickered, turning back to the group. "Let's go get another one!" The group cheered as they all walked away from the mansion. 'So...He gave the information to the group of reaper hunters, and in exchange, they let him take me, and gave him a box?'
The doctor walked over to the box and opened it. It was a box of vials. "Perfect. This is exactly what I need for my experiment." I heard something crash around the back of the mansion, so I decided to go check it out, while the doctor admired his vials. I walked around the corner and stopped, seeing a man on his knees, coughing. My eyes widened.
It was my father.
He slowly stood up, looking at his burning mansion. "No...M...Mikami?" He called. There was no answer. He started pounding on the ground. "MIKAMI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Not able to watch anymore, I walked back to Dr. Fujimoto, who had shut the box and was placing me and the box in a carriage.
"Don't worry, little (F/n). I will take care of you." He reassured, shutting the door. He smirked as he climbed up on the carriage. "And you will certainly be my greatest creation." He said, whipping the reigns. As the carriage drove off, my vision started to get blurry, and my head hurt. I closed my eyes, dropping to my knees. The pain was only present for about a minute before it disappeared. I opened my eyes to find myself in a lab. I looked around and found Dr. Fujimoto leaning over the younger version of me. "Now stay still, (F/n)," He said, holding a syringe with blue liquid in it to her arm. "I've got to find your vein so I can get some of this into your blood for our magic trick."
The little girl nodded, excited. "Okay!" The doctor pressed the syringe into her arm, releasing the blue liquid into her arm. When he removed the needle, he flipped a switch and picked up a small black light. He smiled as the girl's veins in her arm glowed blue.
The door burst opened to reveal my father with an angry look on his face, and a death scythe in his hands. "I'LL KILL YOU!!!" He yelled, running at Dr. Fujimoto. I stepped out of the way as he sliced the doctor's arm.
The little girl scream, jumping out of her chair and running towards the wall. She slammed her small fist down on the security button, which caused a red light to flash around the room. A group of men ran inside and grabbed my father, pulling him away from Dr. Fujimoto. William walked into the room, with a bit of a sad look on his face. "Perhaps... It would be best to put him in a psychiatric facility." He said as they men dragged the screaming man out of the room.
The little girl started to run after her father, but was stopped by William. "Daddy! No!"
William knelt down until he was eye level with her. "(F/n)...I'm afraid your daddy... won't be coming back..." He looked up at Dr. Fujimoto, who nodded, walking over to them.
"I'll take care of you, (F/n)." He said, smiling warmly.
I felt tears well up in my eyes and tried to hit him. "NO!! YOU MONSTER!!!" The pain in my head came back, a little stronger this time, so I fell to my knees once more. 'Please....No...No more!!!' I thought. The pain subsided and I opened my eyes again, to find myself back at the Phantomhive manor. I was standing in the corner of my room, watching myself sleep. Sebastian was sitting in a chair beside the bed, holding my hand.
Someone lightly knocked on the door before opening it. Ciel walked in with a grim look on his face. He stood by Sebastian's side silently for a moment. "Well? Anything?" He asked, finally breaking the silence.
Sebastian shook his head. "No...It's already been almost a whole month since....that day..." he said sadly. He turned his gaze up to Ciel. "What....What if she never wakes up?" He asked sadly.
Ciel swallowed a little. "I....I don't know...." An explosion could be heard in the distance and Ciel sighed. "I'll be back..." He said, taking one last look at his depressed butler before exiting the room.
I walked over to the other side of the bed, watching Sebastian. A tear escaped his eye. "(F/n)....I...I don't know if you can hear me....but...if you can.... Please...Please be alright....I don't know how I could live without you..." He whispered, kissing my hand.
I felt tears fall down my own cheeks as he cried. "Sebastian..." I cried, reaching out to him. "I'm here....I'm right here...." Sebastian didn't move. I fell to the ground, curling up into a ball. "I don't want to be a ghost anymore!!!" I sobbed, "Please! Just let me wake up!!!!"
I noticed that the room around me had changed. I was laying in complete darkness. My Vyris side was standing in front of me. "Now do you see why I did it? I stole your memories so that you would live a happier life. You would've went on happily, not knowing the truth."
I slowly sat up, wiping the tears from my eyes. "But... I never...would've known who my real parents were..."
The Vyris looked at the ground for a moment. "Do you wish that your adopted parents were still alive? That the carriage wreck never happened?"
I nodded, standing up. "Of course... then innocent people wouldn't have died..."
The Vyris looked into my eyes. "Really? Even though all of this happened to you? Even though you met the love of your life, you would take it all back just so some innocent people could live?"
I stayed silent, not able to answer the question. Two orbs formed on either side of the Vyris. One, showed me and my foster mother talking in the carriage, before the accident. the other, showed Sebastian, still holding my lifeless hand. "With the last bit of my energy, I would like to show you... the life that you may have, if you chose to go back." She said, closing her eyes.
I was transported to the back of a church, where a man that I faintly remember, stood at the alter in a tux. I gasped, putting my hands over my mouth. "Hiroshi..." I whispered, frozen in my spot as everyone stood up and turned around as the doors opened.

There stood me, about in my twenties.

In a wedding dress.
