"What?" You weren't sure that you heard him correctly.
"Your father, worked for the grim reapers. He was one of the best grim reapers there was." You slouched back in the couch, confused. "Your father joined the grim reapers at the age of 16. He was suppose to collect the soul of a young girl when he was 18. He ended up falling in love with your mother, a 17 year old human girl." You stood up on weak knees and walked over to the window, shaking. "We were very disappointed to find out that he was resigning. We did not expect him to fall in love with a human." You bit your lip to keep from screaming. Emotion flooded through you in crashing waves. "Bu-But he only collected the souls of bad people. Thieves mostly." You kept your gaze on the trees and birds outside.
"Why didn't he tell me about any of this?" You asked him, trying to keep calm.
He sighed. "That's what we're not sure of. We only knew that you existed two day's ago." William stood up and straightened his coat. "We hope that you will make the right decision to follow in your father's foot steps and join us." You wanted to slap him. You just found out that your father was a grim reaper and that he had many secrets that he was keeping from you and possibly your mom. All they care about is getting more recruits! You turned angrily on your heels to face him. You glared at him and started to walk out of the door. "S-So? Will you join us?"
You stopped with your hand on the doorknob. You turned to face him. "Ask the butler." You shut the door, ran down the hallway, and burst through the door.
