Omake (Origin of crushes)
(Y/n) wiped a bead of sweat from her brow, her breaths coming out short and rapid. She looked around at the destroyed robots lying around her.
She smirked, counting off the points in her head.
69 points...yes!!...she thought, already beginning to run in the opposite direction to find more robots.
"Need more...Need more..." she chanted, looking around the streets littered with wasted robots.
She skidded to a stop when she found a still-standing robot and celebrated inwardly. She began sprinting towards it, leaping up, her already glowing hand swung back to deliver a blow. Suddenly, the robot exploded, making her shriek.
She covered her face with her arms, feeling herself falling down at a great speed. She gasped, still unable to get a clear view of the ground due to all the smoke and debris around.
(Y/n) braced herself for impact on the ground, her arms splayed in front of her to cushion the fall. As she neared the ground, she tightly closed her eyes.
"What the-umph!"
(Y/n) winced when she collided with an object, sending them both rolling on the ground. When they stopped, the girl hissed in pain and opened her eyes to see what she had landed on.
Her (e/c) eyes met with crimson-colored ones, widened in surprise. Her lips parted in surprise, a small blush on her cheeks as their noses were literally touching. Katsuki's cheeks were tainted red at the close proximity he wasn't used to before, his face twisted into a hateful scowl.
"Get the fuck off me, bitch!!" he snapped at her, grabbing her arms and roughly pushing her off him.
(Y/n) grunted when she harshly smacked the ground and sat up to glare at him in shock as he stood up and stomped away from her. She suddenly got very irritated. And to think she was going to apologize.
"Hey!! That wasn't very nice, you prick!!" she yelled back at him, making him stop in his tracks.
Katsuki's whole form shook with anger as mini-explosions began dancing in his palms and wisps of smoke seeped through his fingers. He slowly turned to look at (Y/n), a homicidal look on his face.
"What the fuck did you just say?!!"
"You heard me, dickweed!!" (Y/n) quickly got to her feet and pointed at the boy. "And you also stole my robot!!"
"Haah?!!!" Katsuki exclaimed, feeling his patience with the girl long ago gone. "I'm going to kill you scum!!"
Her whole face twisted up in puzzlement. "Kill me?!"
The audacity of this asshole!!
She scoffed. "You can't do shit!! I mean, will you risk being disqualified just because you lost it?" she jeered at him, enjoying how he got angrier and angrier by the minute.
Strangled sounds came from his throat as Katsuki weighed his options. The unknown girl was right, he couldn't risk being disqualified.
"Dammit!" he cursed under his breath, extinguishing his explosions. He glared at a smug (Y/n), and all he wanted the smile right off her face.
"If I ever see you again, I'll fuck you up you piece of shit!!" he threatened her before swiveling around to stomp off.
"Really?! That's the best you can come up with?!" she mocked after him but he didn't answer.
She scoffed in disdain and shook her head.
What an asshole. I hope I don't see him ever again.

"I hate my life."
Those were the first words (Y/n) uttered the minute she walked into the door of her new classroom. Of all the places she was assigned to sit, she was assigned next to the rude, ash-blond she had met at the entrance exam. Not like she had forgotten a face like that.
Scowling, the girl sucked it up and went to her seat. She took a seat, placing her bag down and turned to the boy. She studied him for a bit, his posture, how he put up a delinquent front by putting his leg up on his desk, how he hung his head down with a consistent frown on his face, the annoying hair. No wonder he's a cunt.
"Hey, you," she snapped her fingers to gain his attention. "Jerkface, over here."
Katsuki raised his head to send her the darkest glare he could. "Haah?"
(Y/n) gave a half smile. She was gonna die. "Good morning. Fancy seeing your face again."
Katsuki furrowed his eyebrows at the word 'again' and he narrowed his eyes at her. Swear on his grave, he had never seen such a face before in his fucking life.
Confusion overtook (Y/n)'s face when she noticed his odd behavior. She tilted her head and rose an eyebrow. "Don't you recognize me?"
Katsuki face went blank. "Who the fuck are you?"
(Y/n) sent him an insulted look. "You're...kidding me, right?" when Katsuki expressed remained blank, she scoffed. "I fell on you back at the entrance exams. Remember me?" she grimaced at the unpleasant memories. "You pushed me to the ground and called me scum?"
The male stared at her for a while before a look of recognition dawned on his face. It quickly changed into a death glare. "I fucking told you to never show your face to me again!!!"
(Y/n) made a face. He just went past through the fact that he called me scum. "I...go to this school now? You'll be seeing me for the next many days to come so there's no controlling it."
The boy gritted his teeth in anger, his fingers twitching uncontrollably. It was a total complete opposite of the expression he displayed before.
She smiled as she propped her chin on her palm. "I didn't catch your name by the way."
"That's because I didn't fucking throw it!!"
"Salty much?" (Y/n) snickered. Honestly, she couldn't understand why she was bothering with a prick like him but his amusing way with words and expressions made her wanna talk to him.
"Why can't you just fuck off and leave me alone, huh?!!" Katsuki yelled at her, already fed up with her presence.
(Y/n) stifled a laugh and held up her arms in a placating gesture. "Okay okay. Jeez. Just wanting to know my classmates, that's all."
"Well, I don't wanna fucking know you so just piss off, you stupid extra!!" Katsuki spat the words like venom in his mouth before looking away from the astonished girl.
She blinked. "O...kay...wow."
So being amusing was one thing but being a straight out jerk was another and this guy was both but leaned more on the straight out jerk side especially with those final words. She knew from the moment she met him that he was an asshole but not to that extent. She chose not to be offended by his insults, not wanting her first day of school to be destroyed by her neighbor. But still...
Is this what she was going to be dealing with?!!

"Bakugou! Hi! It's me! (L/n)!" the girl greeted the boy upon meeting him on the street. "Remember me right?"
"Huh?!" Katsuki stared at the girl blankly, not recognizing her.
(Y/n)'s smile fell. "I literally sit right next to you in class."
Bakugou furrowed his eyebrows in realization and irritation. "Fuck you want, bitch?!"
"First of all, it's (L/n). (L/n). Okay? And second of all, why do you keep calling me bitch?" she inquired, her face twisted in puzzlement.
"Because that's what you are! Now stop bothering me and go die!!!" Katsuki snapped at her, brushing past her without a single glance.
(Y/n) groaned and quickly turned around to grab the sleeve of his jacket before he could leave.
Katsuki glared at the girl from over his shoulder and yanked his sleeve away from her hold. "Fuck's wrong with you?! Are you stupid?!!"
"Just listen to me!!" the girl screamed, surprising him with her outburst. The girl, satisfied with his silence, took in a deep breath. "Look, I know we don't know each other very well but I have to say something that's been on my mind since the first class," Katsuki turned to fully face her and she took in a deep breath before continuing. "I know it's been like two weeks since that class but here it is, even though you lost to Midoriya, it doesn't mean that you must start thinking less of yourself. Yes, your pride is a huge setback but you must use that loss as a lesson that you're not always better than everyone else. People have unique abilities and yes, I agree that there are some people who are technically better than others," she shrugged. "Like, it's right there in front of you. But that's the difference between being better than others and thinking you're better than others. The former is a reality, the latter is just blind. Now-"
"Who the fuck do you think you are?!"
(Y/n)'s forehead creased. "What?"
Katsuki clicked his tongue and violently grabbed (Y/n)'s collar, pulling them closer until they were nose to nose. "I don't need a stupid girl like you to tell me what I can and can't do, okay?!! So whatever happens in my life, stay the fuck out of it!!"
A tense silence filled the surrounding as both (Y/n) and Kastuki glared at each other before;
"Stupid."
Katsuki's eyes widened in surprise at the simple utterance.
"You're stupid," (Y/n) repeated, her face void of emotions. She had reached her limit with him. She grabbed his hands that were still on her collar and activated her Quirk.
Katsuki winced at the searing pain and let go of her collar, only that (Y/n) didn't let go of his hands but stopped her Quirk.
"What the- let me go you shit!!" Katsuki screamed, trying to yank his hands from hers.
"Let me tell you one thing, Bakugou," she began, her cold tone catching his attention and making him stop struggling. "If you keep up with that stupid attitude of yours any longer, you're never gonna get anywhere. I'm just trying to help you out here but you still choose to brush me off and insult me. You know what? Fuck you. I tried but you're just impossible."
Katsuki scowled at her. (Y/n) returned the glare before releasing his hands. Katsuki looked down at his shaking hands.
"But that doesn't mean there isn't room for change," (Y/n) said, her voice losing its former chill and back to a gentle one. She gave him one last look and shook her head. Sighing, she turned around to continue with her way when Katsuki grabbed her arm. The girl looked back at him in confusion. He was staring hard at the ground, a shadow cast over his eyes.
"You're right..." he mumbled shamefully.
"Come again?"
His grip tightened and he shot her dark glare. "I ain't repeating shit."
(Y/n) sighed in resignation. "You're hopeless."
"Die, stupid moron," he quipped, making her smile. He couldn't understand why he had admitted to her that she was right. It wasn't the first time. He always found himself agreeing with her or giving in secretly. Sure, she annoyed the fuck out of him. Always trying to make a conversation with him even though he showed zero interest.
And the fact that she always wanted to be his friend...
"So does this mean we're friends now?" the girl smiled innocently at him.
"Huh?! Fuck no!!!" he yelled.
"Come on!! What's so bad about having at least one friend? Do you really want to die alone?"
Katsuki froze at her question, his blood boiling in anger. She always asked him that whenever he said no.
"You know what?!! Fine!! I'll be your fucking friend, just leave the fuck alone!!!" Katsuki barked, his face beet red at the words he spewed out of his mouth.
(Y/n)'s face lit up and she placed her hands together in front of her. "Really? Can I call you Katsuki? I like it better than Bakugou. You can also call me (F/n). I don't mind."
Katsuki's face turned a deeper shade at her bold request. This fucking girl!
"I'll take that a yes," she smiled and looked at her watch. "Would you look at the time?" she jerked her thumb in the direction of her destination. "Better go before you change your mind! See ya friend!!"
Once she left, Katsuki remained staring angrily at the spot where she was standing.
Just how in the goddamn fuck did he allow that little shit to brainwash him into agreeing to something like that?!
***
Katsuki stared at (Y/n). The girl sat on her usual seat, fully engrossed in what she and Yaoyorozu were talking about as she threw her head back in laughter. Katsuki heard little and cared less about what they were talking about as he was only focusing on the (h/c)-haired girl sitting right next to him.
Lately, he had found himself thinking about her a lot. He even found himself wanting to go to school even more just to see her. After a long time of denial, he had finally come to accept the fact that he had a crush on her.
She was the only girl in his life who had ever shown interest in having him as a friend, even going as far as to stand his hostile behavior. He had tried pushing her away but for some reason, he always talked to her whenever she talked to him and it pissed him off.
And it pissed him off the more that he had actually been so careless as to fall for her. Because she was all he could ever think off and it hurt his brain. Nearly two months into the new school and he had caught feelings like a damn amateur. He had to something about it or else he'll blow up the entire building one day.

"Go out with me!!!"
Katsuki stared at the wall facing the school field as if expecting it to answer and let out a frustrated groan. He took in a deep breath and glared at the wall.
"(Y/n)! Will you...fucking...go out with me?!!!"
The brick wall remained silent, its cracks mocking him, laughing at him.
Katsuki glared at the wall like it was the bane of his existence. He let out a yell before he began relentlessly punching the mocking wall.
He had been practicing how to ask (Y/n) out for ten minutes straight but nothing sounded right. And the stupid wall didn't fucking help since it kept mocking him right in his face. Laughing at him for stooping so low due to something as medieval as feelings. He was going to fucking show it.
"Katsuki?!! What are you doing?!!"
The ash-blond froze when he was pulled away from the wall. He looked down at the girl who had his hands in hers and was inspecting his torn up knuckles with a worried look on her face. His eyes widened and his words were stuck in his throat. Everything he had practiced completely evaporated from his mind.
"Why are you hitting the wall?" she shot him a look of concern and released his hands. "Look at you! We should go to Recovery Girl right now."
Katsuki stared at her for the longest time before he lowered his head. His hands squeezed into fists, the torn up skin making it sting as he glared hard at the ground.
"(Y/n)."
Said girl tilted her head at him. "What is it?"
He clenched his jaw as a flush crept up his face. "Do you...do you wanna hang out?"
The girl's eyes widened in surprise before a smile replaced it. "Sure! But after we go to Recovery Girl to fix your hands."
Katsuki raised his head to stare at her in shock. It was this easy?!! "Really?"
"Yeah! I thought you'd never ask," she laughed before she playfully narrowed her eyes at him. "Katsuki! Don't tell me you have a crush on me or something."
"Wha-!" the ash-blond's mouth fell open in shock, his face turning completely red as his heart raced. "No!! Who the fuck would ever like you?!!!"
"Whoa, calm down. I'm just kidding," she shrugged. "Besides I have a boyfriend anyway."
Katsuki's heart stopped. It was like his world had crashed that instant with those six words. His next words came tumbling out of his mouth before he could stop them.
"What did you say?"
"You didn't know?" (Y/n) asked and shook her head. "It's Shouto. Can't blame you though, you don't know many people's names so I'm guessing you missed it."
Katsuki stared hard at the ground. He didn't pay any attention to his classmates, only (Y/n). All the while, he always thought Shouto was something of her best friend, always finding him 'hovering' around her. Originally, he had planned that if he ever started dating (Y/n), Shouto would be the first to go from her list of 'male friends' but with the new revelation, even 'dating' was a concept seeming impossible.
"-suki! Katsuki!"
Katsuki blinked and glanced up at her through his bangs.
"What?" he asked, his voice sounding exhausted and chagrined.
"Do you still wanna hang out?" she tilted her head. "I could-"
"Forget it."
"Huh? What? Why?" she questioned the male, noticing his sudden dull mood as he silently passed by her.
She turned to look at him, a puzzled look on her face. Did I say something wrong?
Katsuki dragged his feet towards the exit of the school. He had never been so disappointed in his life. All fantasies he had built were disintegrated right before his very eyes. She hadn't rejected him yet but the pain was an equivalent.
At first, he knew it was stupid. The crush thing. Not hopeless.
But now, that was what he had realized. It was hopeless.
Of all the things, his first crush just had to be taken.
It was a sick joke. He was stupid for thinking he'd ever be with her.
He was stupid for thinking he'd ever have a chance.
