Chappy 33
As promised, Shouto passed by (Y/n)'s home to walk her to school. Putting aside her earlier resistance, she was glad that she didn't have to walk into the class alone.
As the duo approached the class door, (Y/n) couldn't help but feel like throwing up. Her nerves were going haywire, making her wring her fingers repeatedly. She really hoped against all hopes that Katsuki had skipped school that day.
Her hopes were however shattered when she entered the door, her (e/c) eyes immediately falling on the boy's form. He was sitting in silence, his head turned to face the wall as he rested his cheek on his palm. Her stomach dropped as she closed the distance between her door and her desk, her breath growing shaky as she prayed that he wouldn't turn his head towards her direction.
She kept her eyes glued on him as she silently sat down, careful not to make any noise that would alert him. The previous day's awkwardness returned and it made things more uncomfortable even if they were yet to talk.
(Y/n) rested her cheek on her palm, her head turned away from Katsuki as she stared at the door.
She inhaled deeply, her eyes scrutinizing the tempting door.
I still have time, maybe I could make a run for it... (Y/n) exhaled in slight amusement at her cowardly thoughts, her aunt's words ringing in her mind.
Her thoughts were interrupted when the door opened, a figure invading her line of vision.
"Good morning," Mr. Aizawa greeted them in his usual exhausted-filled voice as he walked to the front
"Good morning!"
Shoot! Too late! (Y/n) frowned as she straightened up in her seat. From the corner of her eye, she could see that Katsuki had also straightened up and was now looking at Mr. Aizawa. He wore an impassive expression as if he'd rather be anywhere else but in class.
"Today we're going to USJ. More rescue training for you."
"More rescue training?" Tohru wondered aloud, earning a nod from Aizawa.
"Yes. As heroes, you need to be efficient in rescuing. Disasters occur frequently so rescue training is necessary. We'll be leaving in approximately an hour. Change into your costumes and meet me at the bus," Aizawa explained before exiting the class.
The minute he left, multiple voices erupted in the class together with the screeching sounds of chairs scraping against the ground as the students stood up to head to the changing rooms.
Movement to (Y/n)'s right caused her to turn her head to look at Katsuki, who was also standing up. Her eyes accidentally met his, making her breath hitch. The eye contact lasted only seconds as the male immediately broke off the eye contact and silently strode out of the class.
So awkward. (Y/n) bit the inside of her cheek as she watched him exit before she rose from her seat. She was glad that the teacher had chosen an outdoor lesson instead of the usual indoor ones. She had no idea how long she could manage the tension in class.
"Incoming!!!"
Before the girl could react, a body collided with hers in a hug, making her stumble back a bit. The person pulled away and grinned brightly at her.
"Morning!!"
"Morning," (Y/n) chuckled at Mina's sudden enthusiasm, still puzzled as to why she hugged her. "What's the occasion?"
The pink-haired girl shrugged. "Thought you needed it."
(Y/n) sighed and smiled at Mina's caring gesture, touched with her concern.
"Thanks. But I'm fine you know," the girl said, earning an eye roll from Mina.
"Sure you are," she linked her arm with (Y/n)'s as she began pulling her out of the class. "Now let's go, Mrs. I'm-fine-but-I'm-really-not."
(Y/n) laughed and allowed herself to be pulled, grateful of Mina for the momentary distraction.

The students arrived at USJ where they were met with the pro-hero Thirteen.
"Good morning! Good to see you again!" he greeted cheerfully, his arms spread out in either side. "How long has it been? Weeks? Anyway, let's get on with it! Today, we're going to focus on rescuing cliff victims!"
Iida shot his arm up. "Sir! Does that mean we'll be separated into the injured and rescuers like last time?!"
"Yes, but this time, we'll be divided into three rescuers instead of four. You'll also be using the equipment provided for you at the mountain zone. Is that understood?"
Everyone nodded in response.
"Okay good! Any more questions?" Thirteen paused a bit to wait for a question. "None? No one?" he clapped his hands together. "Good! Let's go!"
Thirteen let them to the mountain zone. It was filled with mountains that had large cliffs. Various equipment was strewn on the floor for use.
"Okay!" the pro-hero turned to them. "I will now divide you. You three! Will be the victims!"
The hero pointed at Mina, Yaoyorozu, and Izuku, who briskly nodded.
"The rescuers will be...you three!" The pro-hero pointed at (Y/n) and the two standing next to her. The girl turned her head to look at her teammates, her eyes widening when she found Katsuki standing next to her with an aloof expression on.
How did he get there?!!
"Okay! Rescue training! Commence!" Thirteen announced while flailing his arms around.
Her teammates began moving forward, leaving the dumbstruck girl rooted to the ground. Her lips were parted in shock, as she tried to contemplate her bad luck.
Is this payment for that one time I accidentally opened that dirty video and continued watching it?! If it's about that, I swear, I didn't mean it!! The girl scowled in distaste, breaking out of her reverie and following the others near the cliff's opening.
She glanced at Katsuki, who was watching the three students descend down the cliff according to Thirteen's instructions. Normally, he would bitch about the fact that he was rescuing Izuku but this time, he remained silent. Even Kaminari, their other teammate seemed to notice this but chose not to point it out.
(Y/n) shifted her weight awkwardly to her other foot as she stood in the middle of the two boys. Butterflies were dredging up the walls of her stomach, making her want to hurl from the nervousness.
"Rescuers!" Thirteen suddenly spoke, making (Y/n) flinch slightly in surprise. "You may begin! Remember, safety first!"
The three nodded and turned to look at the equipment.
"So, one has to go down, right?" Kaminari asked the two as he crouched down to pick up the harness. "Who's it gonna be?"
"Uh..." (Y/n) scratched the back of her neck, briefly glancing at Katsuki, who still remained reticent to everything. She already figured out that he wasn't going to say anything so she slightly raised her hand up.
"I'll go. You know...since I'm kinda the lightest and stuff," she said, earning a nod from Kaminari who straightened up with the harness in hand.
Normally, this is the part where Katsuki would call me a fat ass or something. Haha...ha...yeah, I hate myself. (Y/n) thought glumly as she took the harness from Kaminari. She put on the harness while being careful not trip on her feet while doing so. Meanwhile, Katsuki had turned away and was staring at the steep end much to (Y/n)'s relief. She couldn't handle an awkward stare off with him.
As soon as the harness was in place, a rope was hooked at the back of it and she stood at the edge. She peeked over the edge to see the three lying on the steep ground against rocks.
The girl cupped her hands around her mouth and took in a deep breath before shouting. "Guys!! Don't worry! Help is coming!"
"Thank God!"
"We're saved!"
The three waved at (Y/n) excitedly, the girl waving back with a laugh. She turned to the two boys and nodded, taking another harness for a victim.
"Ready?" Kaminari asked, holding onto the rope with Katsuki behind him, also holding onto it.
"Ready," she nodded, careful to avoid Katsuki's eyes before turning back to the edge.
She slowly began descending down the edge, careful to avoid slippery rocks and grass. It was a nerve-wracking experience for the girl since if she made one wrong move, she'd inevitably fall over.
It was still a cliff after all...
With lots of concentration and carefulness, she managed to get to Mina first.
"(Y/n)! I'm so happy to see you!!" Mina gushed, hugging herself in happiness as she swayed from side to side.
"You're supposed to be in pain plus you don't know me," (Y/n) informed her in a low voice, chuckling silently at her exhilaration.
"Oh right," Mina's eyes widened in realization before her face twisted in pain as she laid back down to the ground. She bent her body at an odd angle and began pulling at her pink hair. "Ooohh!! The agony!! The pain!! Help me, oh nice Samaritan!!"
"Now you're just being extra," (Y/n) murmured in hilarity as she crouched down to Mina's level.
"Got it," Mina winked as she sat up to aid (Y/n) in tying the harness around her.
Movement at the corner of her eye caused her to turn to see a rescue stretcher being towed down. She looked up to see Kaminari rolling the pulley lever and gave him a thumbs up. Kaminari returned the gesture and towed the stretcher to her level.
(Y/n) turned to Mina and jerked her head in the direction of the stretcher.
Mina furrowed her eyebrows and shook her head. "You're rescuing me. Shouldn't you be putting me on it?"
(Y/n) scowled at her defiance. "No way I'm carrying your fat ass on it."
"Mean!" Mina scoffed and childishly turned her face away from (Y/n).
The girl growled in irritation before heaving out a resigned sigh. "Fine. But carry some of your weight please," she said as she placed her hands behind Mina's back and under her thighs.
The pink-haired girl gasped dramatically when (Y/n) hoisted her up. "Gah! (Y/n) is carrying me like a princess!"
"Shut up!" (Y/n) hissed.
When the girl was set on the stretcher, (Y/n) slightly tugged the rope down so that Kaminari would pull her up. On cue, Kaminari began hoisting the stretcher up.
(Y/n) sent the other two assuring smiles as she awaited the descent of the stretcher.
"That was so cool, (Y/n)!" Izuku cheered her on making her smile in appreciation.
"Thanks, Izuku!" she arched an amused eyebrow. "But aren't you supposed to out cold?"
The green-haired boy's eyes widened. "Oh um, yeah-yeah! Right!"
He laid back down and closed his eyes, earning an amused laugh from (Y/n). Yaoyorozu was also lying 'unconscious' but a smile played on her lips as she looked at (Y/n).
The two's rescuing went as smoothly as the first and it was (Y/n)'s turn to be pulled up. The rope hooked to her harness was pulled as she made her way carefully up the slope.
Sweat glistened on her forehead from the hard activity and she got a chance to sigh in relief when she reached the edge.
She briefly glanced behind at the fall, a mistake on her part as her foot accidentally slipped, making her lose her balance. Her heart stopped as her eyes widened in horror and she instantly let out a loud gasp when she felt herself begin to fall.
A hand shot out, grabbing firmly onto her own to curb her fall. (Y/n) stared in terror at the fall, her heart rapidly racing at the near-death experience. She slowly turned her head to look at her savior, who was staring back at her with hard-set eyes.
Butterflies erupted in her stomach as Katsuki slowly pulled her up the edge. As soon as she was safely on the ground, the male let go of her hand. Due to the shocking experience still numbing her mind, her knees buckled and she dropped to the floor.
Katsuki stared at her in silence as (Y/n) stared back, her lips parted in muteness. She struggled to clear her jumbled up brain as words clogged up in her throat.
She broke off the unbearable eye contact and stared down at her lap. "Um...thanks..."
She looked back up at him, only to find the spot he had occupied empty and that he had long ago walked away from her.
(Y/n) let out a sigh, glancing at his retreating form before getting up onto her feet.
At least he doesn't want me dead. She thought wearily as she dusted herself up and removed the harness.
"Good job rescuers!" Thirteen appeared behind (Y/n), making her jump.
"Seriously, stop that," she muttered in annoyance at the pro-hero who clasped his hands together in apology.
"Anyways! That's how you do it, students! Now, off to another team!! Victims are..."

(Y/n) chatted happily with Yaoyorozu as they headed back to class from the changing room.
"I totally hated that movie, I mean, who even does that? I'd fuck me up a bitch if that ever happened in real life," (Y/n) scoffed, brushing back her stray locks.
"So vulgar, (Y/n)!" Yaoyorozu chuckled as she pressed her fingers to her lips.
(Y/n) burst into laughter as she entered the class. "Now, who's being such a mom? Really Mo-"
The girl was cut off when she accidentally bumped into someone. Stumbling back, she was just about to apologize when the words were caught in her throat the minute she gazed up into those familiar red eyes. She gulped, instantly hating the butterflies that have been infesting her stomach. Seriously, she'd need to see some rent if they were going to keep hanging out in there.
Meanwhile, Kastuki remained as emotionless as ever. His face held his usual frown but he didn't make an attempt to insult her or even scream for her to move. It was like he was looking right through her. Like she wasn't even there to begin with.
(Y/n) swallowed down the bitter feelings and immediately moved aside for him to pass. The male silently passed her and went out of class.
(Y/n) risked a peek at the back of his head and tugged at her tie, desperate to ebb away the feelings of awkwardness.
"Wow, I've never seen Bakugou so...silent," Yaoyorozu commented while staring at Katsuki's retreating form.
(Y/n) lifted her shoulder in a half shrug, not knowing what to respond to her words as she headed to her desk.
"You guys aren't talking right?"
(Y/n) scoffed and plopped down on her chair. She leaned her elbows on the desk and sent the girl a look. "I don't think he's talking to anyone."
The dark-haired girl patted her shoulder in assurance. "Don't worry. Things will come around eventually."
"Yeah, maybe," the girl shrugged, sending Yaoyorozu a strained smile.
Yaoyorozu smiled at her and set her palms down flat on the desk. "Anyways, remember our resort plan?"
(Y/n) nodded, glad to at least change the subject. "Yeah?"
"We have a lot to discuss."
