Chappy 13

"Uhh...(Y/n)? Are you okay?"

The female, who had plopped down on the seat next to Yaoyorozu, turned to face Izuku with a puzzled expression. "Huh? Why?"

The rest of her classmates were staring at her with a bewildered expression, something that made (Y/n) feel self-conscious.

"You...don't have any injuries..." Uraraka responded, her brown eyes taking in the pristine condition of (Y/n) in shock.

(Y/n) furrowed her eyebrows at her words and checked herself, finding the girl's words to be true.

"Huh. I didn't notice," she looked up at the girl with uncertainty as to where the conversation was going. "Why? Is that wrong?"

Uraraka shook her head frantically and sheepishly scratched the back of her neck. "No! It's just that...you were up against Bakugou and well, it's so amazing how you ended up without a scratch," she sent the girl a bright grin, though it looked quite forced. "You really must be strong to hold him off like that."

"Yeah (Y/n)! And how you stopped his blast with your own fist. It was like Bakugou's Quirk was powerless against yours!" Kirishima shot the girl a wink and a thumbs up.

"Eh? Is that so?" (Y/n) rubbed her neck in embarrassment, her cheeks reddening at the praise. "I just read up on my Geography, that's all."

"But it was so cool! Especially how you landed that punch on him!" Kaminari exclaimed, mimicking her actions by punching in the air.

(Y/n) let out a strained chuckle as she thought up of a way on how to escape all the attention thrust upon her. She jumped in surprise when an arm snuck around her shoulder and pulled her back into a body.

"I'm so proud of you!" Yaoyorozu gushed as she gave the surprised girl a tight side hug.

The girl's face softened as a fon smile made its way to her lips. She relaxed into the hug and chuckled. "Thanks, Momo."

"But on a serious note," the dark-haired girl let go of (Y/n) and sent her a serious expression filled with a bit of betrayal. "Why didn't you tell me that your Quirk can negate Bakugou's? I sure that one was a huge blow to his pride...even though he didn't show it much at your fight."

(Y/n) sighed and rubbed a hand up and down her arm. "Well, I didn't know either. I just found out recently," her shoulder lifted in a half shrug. "I didn't think it was important since I thought I wouldn't go up against Katsuki. Guess, it was a lucky shot."

"Then you must be blessed with luck," Yaoyorozu smiled at the girl, who returned the smile as she leaned back in her seat.

"I'm still wondering, how is it you don't have any single scratch?"

(Y/n) glanced at the dark-haired girl and shrugged. She would've answered the question if she herself knew the answer. In all honesty, she too was wondering how Katsuki hadn't landed even one single hit on her, focusing more on restraining her than beating her up. Her mind went back to how she had missed Katsuki by an inch and how she expected Katsuki to take advantage of that miss, instead, getting different results.

At the start, he didn't hold back on her when using his Quirk but when it came to using fists, it was like he was evading the opportunity to hit her.

She frowned. Was he holding back on me?... The Katsuki Bakugou?

"(Y-Y/n)! Are you alright?!"

The stuttering voice brought her out of her thoughts and she turned to look at Izuku, who was staring at her with an extremely worried look. The green-haired boy had turned to her to ask her about her ability to counter Katsuki's impossible Quirk but had seen her stormy expression and thought twice about it.

"Uhh..." (Y/n)'s eyes flickered from one to point to another before she sunk further into her seats with a withering look. "I'm just fine! Just..." she began kneading her shoulder while faking a wince. "Sore muscles, s'all."

"O-oh, uh, uh-huh," the male nodded, unconvinced.

(Y/n) then gasped. (E/c) eyes widened as she stared at the boy in bewilderment.

"Hey!" she pointed a shocked finger at the puzzled boy, who was sitting five seats away from her. "You're already back from surgery! Oh, my God, I didn't realize. How was it?"

Izuku nervously chuckled and scratched the back of his neck while Yaoyorozu, who had overheard her outrageous question, facepalmed.

"It's finally the last battle of the U.A. High School sports festival!" Mic's voice resonated through the speakers, taking away (Y/n)'s attention away from Izuku to the students on the stage.

The top of the first years will be decided with this one match! The final, so to speak! From the hero course, Shouto Todoroki! Versus! Also from the hero course, Katsuki Bakugou! Now! Start!!!"

Shouto immediately went in for the kill by placing his palm down against the ground, sending a mountain of ice that encased Katsuki who, with the help of his blasts, had already begun punching his way out.

"Todoroki gets a blow in right away! Is he trying to avoid close combat with Bakugou? Has the winner been decided already?!!"

"It's not on the same scale as in his match with Sero. He aimed his attack while being careful of what'll come next," Izuku commented, lightly tapping his chin with his usual pensive look on his freckled face. (Y/n) paid him a nonchalant glance before looking back at the fight.

A loud crashing sound could be heard coming from within the large mountain of ice, a result of Katsuki's action within the Herculean ice. It didn't take long after as with a large blast, Katsuki emerged from the ice.

"Did he dig his way out through the ice like a mole with his explosions?!" Sero gaped.

Kaminari shrunk back in his chair, a disturbed look on his face. "That's so weird!"

Back on the chaotic stage, Katsuki detonated an explosion from his hands, propelling himself towards Shouto. Instead, he quickly redirected himself into the air, avoiding Shoto attacking right arm and grabbed his left shoulder and head. Katsuki flipped, landing on his feet and tossed Shouto away from the stage.

The dual-haired male reacted quickly, creating an ice ramp that prevented him from going out of bounds as he slid around Katsuki.

"He avoids going out of bounds with a wall of ice! Looks like fun!"

Katsuki avoided the approaching ice and tried to detonate an explosion at Shouto, who instead dodged his arm and grabbed it with his left hand. In a moment, he seemed to be contemplating whether to use his flames but instead chose not to and hurtled Katsuki across the stage.

"With the way, he grabbed Todoroki's left side on purpose and time his explosions...He's been doing his research. That kid's abilities shine every time he fights," Mr. Aizawa commented.

"I see!" Mic proclaimed in wonder.

"Todoroki's moving well, too, but his attacks are too simple," Mr. Aizawa continued. "Ever since the match with Midoriya, he's lost his touch."

(Y/n) nodded in understanding at his words, her eyes fixated on the dual-haired boy. Her heart clenched at his sad expression, clear as day within his heterochromatic eyes. She felt terrible of the fact that she couldn't take the weight of his past off of him permanently, only being able to offer a shoulder to lean on and advice. He was always there for her whenever she needed him, and she too would always do her best to do the same for him. Even if it's just a shoulder and not taking all his problems upon her.

She hadn't heard what Katsuki was shouting at Shouto, only realizing that his presence on the stage when he began charging at him. Without her consent, her body moved on its own and rose up from her seat with determination written on her face. She cupped her mouth with her hands to amplify her voice and she drew in a deep breath.

"SHOUTO!!" Said male snapped out of whatever trance he was in, his surprised eyes darting to the girl's form in the bleachers. "I'm here for you!!! Don't give up!!!"

"Todoroki! Don't lose! Do your best!" Midoriya added in a loud voice, also having have risen from his seat. (Y/n) sent him a grateful smile, which he returned shortly after.

Shouto looked back at Katsuki and he gritted his teeth. Their support definitely did not fall on deaf ears. His hands clenched into fists, as his left side began slowly heating up, steam rising up to the air, making the ice that had formed on his skin melt away. His left side burst into flames as he went into a defensive mode.

Fired up even more now that Shouto decided to use his full power, because fucking finally, Katsuki began propelling himself with his blasts in a side to side motion to add momentum. He gradually began spinning in the air, forming a large whirlwind around him as he hurtled towards Shouto in breakneck speed.

Shouto lifted his left arm to counter Katsuki but suddenly, the light in his eyes flickered out as soon as it came. His face was once more clouded over with sadness as he lowered his arm, extinguishing his flames completely.

Katsuki, too caught up in his excitement to notice, sent a large blast towards Shouto, setting off a large explosion that shook the whole arena.

"He added momentum and rotation to the huge blast, he showed us in his fight with Uraraka! He was like a human projectile! It looks like Todoroki didn't fire off the huge blast he used in his match with Midoriya, but the winner is...."

When the smoke and debris cleared, Shouto was seen lying unconscious on destroyed ice as Katsuki laid sprawled on the floor across from him, disbelief written all over his usually angry face.

Katsuki struggled to get up on his feet, as he trudged slowly towards Shouto. Gathering back his remaining energy, he took off towards the unconscious boy and grabbed his collar in a fit of rage as he started yelling at him. He shook him back and forth, one hand in the air as if ready to blast his face into smithereens considering how betrayed and raged he was filing. A mist of purple smoke began snaking through the stage, covering it in seconds and rendering Katsuki unconscious the minute he breathed it in.

(Y/n), who had watched the whole thing while at the edge of her seat, bit the inside of the cheek, a whirl of emotions swimming within her. Honestly, she didn't even know what to make out of what she had just witnessed.

Midnight looked at the unconscious boys for a moment before raising her arm in the air. "Todoroki's out of bounds! Which means, Bakugou wins!"

All at once, loud cheers erupted from the crowd as the screens all over the arena flashed with Katsuki's picture.

"And now, all of the events have been completed!" Mic's amplified voice cut through the screams of the crowd. "The winner of this year's first-year U. A sports festival is from Class A, Katsuki Bakugou!"

***

Not long after the ceremony was concluded, (Y/n) was summoned by Midnight to head to the underground of the arena for the commissioning of awards. Upon her arrival, she met with Shouto who simply gave her a sad smile. She stopped before him and raked her eyes down his weary and battered form. His left arm was bandaged and his whole posture screamed of exhaustion.

She looked up to meet his gaze and they stared at each other for a moment, wordless, before (Y/n) broke the silence.

"Hey," she said, the corner of her mouth twitching up.

"...Hi," he lightly smiled, head tilting to the side in the slightest os tilts.

(Y/n) pushed air out of her nose in an amused exhale as a smile appeared on her face. She instantly wrapped her arms around his waist in a hug, with Shouto immediately responding by wrapping his around her shoulder as he placed a kiss on her forehead.

"Congratulations," the female breathed out, her arms tightening around him as she nuzzled into his sturdy chest. Gosh, she missed hugging him.

"Thanks. You too," Shouto threaded his fingers through her hair, happy that amidst his internal conflict, he had one solid thing in his life, (Y/n).

(Y/n) sighed wistfully, a smile forming on her lips. She felt really peaceful and safe with him around. It seemed as if nothing could ever ruin it.

"Why you...fucking half and half bastard!!!"

Too soon.

The two hastily pulled away from the each other, curiously turning around to face an awoken Katsuki, who was being restrained by two teachers to a stone podium. Two leather straps wound around his abdomen, holding him in place. His arms had brace-like metals that chained him to the ground and similarly metal compartments that boxed his hands in to prevent him from setting off his Quirk.

"I'm gonna fucking kill you!!" he barked with a venomous bite, his wild eyes glowering holes at Shouto. "How dare you not use your fucking flames on me?!!!! I swear I'm gonna bash your brains in!! I'm gonna bash them right the fuck in!! And when I'm done, I'm gonna--mmhhh! mmmhhhh!"

(Y/n)'s jaw fell open when a teacher strapped a rather, uncomfortable looking sound muffler around his mouth to shut him up. Her expression faltered a bit as she watched him struggle against the two teachers trying to strap him to the podium, all the while still screaming muffled obscenities and threats at Shouto. Her brows furrowed and she pursed her lips. Was all that really necessary? She could understand that he was a danger to Shouto for the moment, but why go to the extent of treating him like a barbaric animal?

She hadn't even noticed that the teachers were done with Katsuki, too caught up in her pitying thoughts, until a hand was placed on the small of her back and was given a light push forward towards the remaining podiums. Shouto stood next to Katsuki on his left while (Y/n) took hers on the ash-blond's right.

The female risked a peek at Katsuki from the corner of her eye and she frowned. He still hadn't stopped trying to shout at Shouto, who was impassively staring at nothing in particular, not caring or pretending not to notice the aggravated boy next to him. She also noticed that the broken nose she had given him had healed, probably with the help of recovery girl.

Suddenly, Katsuki turned to glare at her when he noticed the girl's blatant stare from the corner of his eye. (Y/n) quickly jerked her head to the opposite side and pretended to be looking for something. God forbid he saw pity in her eyes. He'd tear her a new one and proceed to tear the new one until she left with nothing but a tube.

She thanked the heavens when she felt the podium begin to rise up because Katsuki's death glare was beginning to feel physical and she was having a hard time preventing herself from staring back at him.

The three students were hoisted up to the arena grounds. (Y/n)'s eyes winced a bit at the change of light and she blinked rapidly to try and adjust them to the light. The deafening sounds of cheers and confetti everywhere was also another thing. The scene itself of the celebrating arena made her momentarily forget that she was trying to avoid Katsuki's dark looks.

As expected, everyone was shocked to see Katsuki's restrains but that didn't stop the camera lights from flashing, taking rapid pictures of the winners of the year's sports festival.

Unbothered by the scene, Midnight stepped up on a podium of her own and held out her arm in the direction of the students. "In addition to (L/n), there is also Iida in third place, but he left early for family reasons. Thanks for your understanding!" Midnight winked at the press, earning an eye roll from (Y/n). "Now, we will award the medals! The presentation of the medals will, of course, be by this man..."

All Might's famous laugh boomed from a distance, earning excited cheers from the congregation at his appearance.

The number one hero leaped into the air, landing majestically on the ground in front of the students.

"Now then, All Might, please present the medals, starting with third place," Midnight said as she handed All Might the medals.

The blond-haired male laughed as he took a bronze medal from the casing and walked over to (Y/n). The girl stared up at the hulk of a man with awe-filled eyes and a smile threatening to appear on her face. She glanced at the bronze medal and she took in a sharp breath to cool her exhilaration.

"Young (L/n), congratulations," All Might said as he placed the medal around the girl's neck. "You really are a wonder girl."

(Y/n) smiled, her heart squeezing in excitement and gratefulness from the compliment by All Might. The male proceeded in pulling the girl in a warm hug and patted her back.

"Though," he continued. "All you have to do is destroy the fear in your heart that holds you back from unleashing your true potential. You give up way too easy for someone so young and I'd like to see that change. Only when you do that, will you achieve greatness you're destined for."

The male pulled back and sent her one last approving look before walking away, leaving (Y/n) pondering on his words that held so much truth. She took the medal in her hand and frowned down at it. She lightly scoffed. If only it were that easy to not give up that is...

"Young Todoroki," the girl turned to see All Might placing a silver medal around Shouto's neck. "Congratulations. I assume there is a reason you didn't use your left side in the final?"

Shouto hung his head, his downcast gaze cast to the floor. "I had an opportunity during my match with Midoriya, but then I became unsure of myself. I think I understand a little of why you're interested in him. I wanted to become a hero like you. But I didn't think it would be right for me to be the only one to break away. There's still something I must settle."

(Y/n) smiled softly at his words, proud of his overwhelming progress throughout the games.

All Might nodded in understanding. "The look on your face is completely different from before," he then pulled the male into a hug. "I won't ask about the details. I'm sure that you'll be able to do what you need to do."

"Yes."

All Might pulled away and headed towards Katsuki. "Now then, Young Bakugou!..." the pro-hero hesitated when he saw the restrains and muffler on the boy. "This is too much." He began removing the muffler from around Katsuki's mouth while he continued speaking. "Good job doing what you said you would during the player pledge!"

"All Might..." the ash-blond rasped the minute the muffler was off before raising his head up to display his face that was twisted in pure unadulterated rage. "First place like this...is not worth anything!! Even if the fucking world recognizes it, if I don't recognize it, then it's fucking trash!!!"

"His face is amazing..." All Might chuckled to himself and nodded. "Right. In this world where people are constantly being compared publicly, there are not many who can keep aiming for the top of an unchanging scale."

Katsuki growled in anger at his words. All Might took the gold medal in his hands and went to place it around Katsuki's neck. "Take this medal, okay? Think of it as a 'wound', so you'll never forget!"

The ash-blond leaned away from his hands but couldn't get far with the restraints around him. "I said I don't fucking want it!"

"Now, now..."

"I told you I don't want it!!"

After moments of struggling, All Might was able to hang the medal on Katsuki's jaw. "Here."

(Y/n) snorted, her hand flying up to cover her mouth to stifle her laughter. Sure, she felt kinda bad that he was restrained and humiliated like that but even she could admit that hanging a medal in his mouth was a bit amusing.

All Might turned back to the crowd and gestured to the three winners. "Well, they were the winners this time! But listen here! Anyone here could have ended up on these podiums. It's just as you saw. Competing! Improving each other! And climbing even further! The next generation of heroes is definitely sprouting! So, I have just one more thing to say! Everyone, please say it with me! Ready, go!!"

"Plus Ultra!"

"Thanks for your hard work!"

Silence shrouded the whole arena until boos broke out.

"What?! It should've been 'Plus Ultra' there, All Might!" the audience shot back at the pro-hero, who shrunk back sheepishly.

"Well, I thought everyone worked hard...."

***

After the event, everyone had changed back into their school uniforms, ready to get back to class for a briefing.

(Y/n) got out of the changing room to find Shouto leaning on the wall beside the door, waiting for her. When he saw her, he pushed off from the wall.

"Ready?"

"Yeah," the girl nodded as she smoothed out her skirt. "Just let me head to the restroom in a bit."

Shouto nodded as he watched the retreating girl.

***

After (Y/n) was done with her business, she opened the restroom door and got out. Suddenly, she bumped into a hard body making her stumble back.

"Oh sorry. My bad-" her eyebrows furrowed when she caught sight of who she had bumped to and her mouth twisted into a scowl. "On second thought, I take that back."

She turned on her heel to stomp away in the opposite direction, hoping to get as far away from him as possible from the bastard.

"Hn. I didn't think a girl in your caliber could actually make it to such a position. It makes me wonder what kind of witchcraft you did."

The condescending tone behind the voice made her clench her jaw as anger flooded her veins.

Ignore him (Y/n). Just keep walking...

"I try to tell my son that he shouldn't be around poisonous people like you. Guess he didn't listen."

Just! Keep! Walking!

"You're the reason why he's holding back," the words kept on coming. "Why don't you just go back to that orphanage you came from and stop trying to ruin his life."

At this statement, (Y/n) immediately halted in her tracks. Her pupils were blown wide open, offended and resentment vibrating through her being. She swiveled around and stomped back to the male, upper lip drawn back in her snarl as she pointed at the flame-endorsed number two hero. "The fuck did you just say to me?!"

Endeavor smirked in satisfaction at his successful attempt in irking the female and crossed his large arms over his chest. "You don't add any value to Shouto's life. Ever since you showed up he's had his head up in the clouds and now he's living in that stupid teenage rebellious phase. And you're the whole reason why he can't move out of it," he accused, his cold, hard eyes boring holes into the female's.

(Y/n) hated how they resembled Shouto's but his was on another level of heartless. "Now listen to me, you over-sized flame brain! I'm not the cause of Shouto's thinking streak!" she spat and jabbed her finger in his chest. "I don't control him! You and I know the real reason why he wouldn't use his left side! So don't dare pin the blame on me!!"

Endeavor scoffed at the girl's hostility, unintimidated by her as he could easily overpower her without batting an eyelid. Regardless, he did quite enjoy stirring up her anger, something he never got tired of from the years.

"Poisonous people like you should stay where they belong....." he added, his malicious smirk growing. "Underground."

It was like a fuse suddenly blew up in (Y/n)'s head, causing her vision to turn red as she leaped onto the male, her mad mind not registering or caring about the fact that he was taller and stronger than her. But before she could wrap her fingers around his thick neck, a hand quickly wrapped itself around her waist, pulling her back into a solid chest.

Endeavor's smirk fell when he locked gazes with Shouto's irritated one.

"What are you doing here?" Shouto narrowed his eyes at the male in distaste. If he hadn't stepped in before it was too late...he didn't want to think about what his brute of a father would do to her. The thought would've made him angrier than he already was just by merely looking at him.

Endeavor jutted his chin out, unwavering, as he looked down on his son in an attempt to make him back off. "Can't a father congratulate his most likely future daughter-in-law?"

Shouto sent him a dirty look, not believing a word of it. "This doesn't look like you were just congratulating her."

The large male scoffed, curling his upper lip in a jeer as his hateful eyes landed on a seething (Y/n), who if looks could kill, would've already killed Endeavor yesterday. "I also may have mentioned something that seemed to strike a chord within her. Well, nevertheless, (Y/n)," his eyes narrowed into a hateful glare. "Send my regards to your parents."

(Y/n) gasped, her eyes widening at the direct insult.

"Why you--!" she ripped Shouto's arm away from around her as she went to swing her now glowing fist at Endeavor. But once again, her attempt was cut shot when Shoto scooped her up by her legs and threw her over his shoulder.

"Arghhh!! Let me go!" (Y/n) screeched while hitting his back defiantly. It didn't help that Shouto had wrapped an arm around her legs, making it impossible for her to give him a good kick. "Let me go so I can pull out his intestines from all the holes in his body!! Let me go!! Let me go!!!"

Shouto ignored the shrieking girl as he was occupied in an intense glare-down with his excuse of a father. He didn't care about the shocked stares that they were receiving from passers-by since all his attention was focused on Endeavor.

After a while of silence, the burly man finally opened his mouth to speak.

"Do you now see what kind of people you surround yourself with? People who are out of control," Endeavor commented, his eyes glancing at a still screaming (Y/n) then back at Shouto.

"Do you really like provoking her just to try to make me angry?" Shouto countered, a scowl forming on his face.

"Hmmm. One day your eyes will be opened and maybe then you'll be able to distinguish the scum you so blindly hang around with," the large male spat, the word 'scum' coming out like venom from his mouth.

Shouto growled at Endeavor's insult towards (Y/n). His free hand balled up into a tight fist as he burned with anger but he had to swallow down his frustration since he didn't want to do anything rash, especially when (Y/n) was involved.

So instead, he sent the male the deadliest of glares he could give. "Get out of here, you bastard."

The number two hero scoffed in displeasure and paid one last glance at (Y/n)'s struggling form before looking back at Shouto. He turned around without another word and walked away, a bit pleased with his accomplishment of making the girl angry.

Shouto's tense posture relaxed, his anger slowly dying down as he turned around to head to a secluded area.

As Shouto turned, (Y/n) saw Endeavor walking away and her anger increased tenfold. She raised her fist into the air, her face flushed from anger and all the screaming.

"Yeah! You better walk away, you uneducated imbecile!! You're lucky I can't get to right now but next time I do, I'm gonna walk up and down your ass until my feet get sore!!! You hear me?! I'm gonna--arghhh!!"

Shouto sighed at the girl's words, impatient to get her to an empty room so that she could at least calm down, away from the nosey eyes of the unfortunate audience.

***

When Shouto finally arrived in an empty hallway, he gently placed (Y/n) onto her feet. The girl immediately grabbed a fistful of her hair as she began pacing back and forth relentlessly.

"Damn it! That fucker! How dare he call me poisonous?! For all I know, he's the poisonous one! Heck! He so poisonous he puts a stone fish to shame!" she let out a frustrated yell before turning to Shouto, who simply stared at her unfazed. "I was this close...this close to socking him in that fat mouth of his. If I could just-fuck!!" She took in a sharp breath and shoved back the locks that had fallen on her face. She then closed her eyes and ran her hands down the sides of her face while exhaling. "I'm calm. I'm calm. Totally calm. Totally calm, calm, calm, calm. Calm like a bomb." she nodded to herself, her voice falling into a whisper. "Calm. Totally calm. Calm..."

Shouto chuckled silently at her mantra but obviously impressed to see that it actually worked as she seemed no longer angry. "You sure?"

(Y/n)'s eyes opened and she sent the male a forced nod. "One hundred percent."

It wasn't a hundred percent. She was still going apeshit on the inside. But for the sake of her sanity and Shouto, she forced a smile on her face.

Shouto sighed, choosing not to press on the matter. His eyes fell on her loose hair and his hand went into his pocket to retrieve an extra hair band he always carries in case of 'emergencies'.

Shouto wordlessly went up behind her and took her hair in his hands. (Y/n) let him pull them back into a bun.

"You know..." she spoke after a moment of silence. "Someone might find it weird if they discovered you carry bands around in your pockets..."

"I don't mind," Shouto said as he finished tying her hair up.

The girl's mouth twitched as she stared at a spot on the wall. "Remember how you stopped me from cutting my hair back in middle school because I hated it in exchange of promising to always tie it up every day?"

Shouto smiled at the memory and ran his hand through her newly made ponytail. (Y/n) turned to face him, a smile on her lips. The boy let his hand fall back to his side as he stared back at the girl. "Yes. I still don't understand why you hated it so much."

The girl shrugged. "I don't know. It was just so plain looking and always got into my face. Yet you still loved it."

"How could I not? You looked even more beautiful whenever you let it down," Shouto said while raking his eyes all over her face.

His loving words sent warm sensations within (Y/n)'s chest and she couldn't resist giggling.

"Aaww," (Y/n) cooed, placing her palms against his chest as she leaned into him, her voice dropping a few octaves lower. "I didn't know you were such a romantic back then. What happened?"

Shouto's eyes widened slightly at her words and his eyebrows knitted in puzzlement. "What do you mean? Am I not romantic now?"

(Y/n) faked a disappointed look as she cast her eyes to the side with a frown. "Yeah, when's the last time you gave me flowers?"

"Huh?"

(Y/n) turned back to him and laughed at his bewildered expression. She lightly pushed his shoulder. "I'm just kidding. You're just enough the way you are."

The dual-haired male sighed at the girl's tease, glad that she was back to joking around, her previous anger forgotten. He wrapped his arms around her waist and leaned into her to capture her lips in a kiss. (Y/n) smiled into the sweet gentle kiss, immediately responding by grabbing his collar and pulling him closer.

When they pulled apart, they both turned to head to class, their hands interlaced together all the way.
