::  xxiv. | girlfriends

A month and half has gone by so quickly. Sarah was still staying at Alexa's but while she was there, she has been auditioning to keep up with things. She had also gotten a few callbacks, luckily two got moved forward so she was happy about that and her agent.

Sarah was scanning over her emails as she relaxed on the couch in the living room with her laptop. She continued going through her emails, when the phone rang and the doorbell. She ordered Starbucks not too long ago. On her way to get up to go get the door, she grabbed her phone and answered the call from her agent.

"I am so proud of you, babe!" Johnny exclaimed on speaker, Sarah opened the door.

"Meaning?" Sarah questioned, picking up the Starbucks bag that was left on the door step. She then closed the door and headed towards the kitchen.

"Baby, you got the part!"

"You're fucking lying!" Sarah smiled excitedly, "I got kyra?!" She practically screamed as Alexa walked into the kitchen.

"You got kyra! Congrats!!" His voice then lowered, "I would love to continue having a screaming match but I gotta make a few calls. Bye babe."

The called ended and Sarah just smiled at Alexa. Her eyes were big and her smile, as she squealed. Alexa heard everything since he was on speaker. She squealed too and went to wrap her arms around Sarah. The two hugged so tight, then as they pulled away, their faces met one another's.

It felt natural, so easy. They both leaned in for a kiss. As they kissed, they moved in sequence. One could say that kiss went on forever but they knew what it would lead to if they continued, so eventually they pulled away and Sarah went back to finishing taking the coffees out the bag.

She got Alexa's order and her's. Since Alexa was off that day, Sarah took it upon herself to plan a whole day just for the two of them.

Alexa sat on the couch, going through some ideas of what she and Sarah could do for today. She was just about get up and share it with Sarah, but before she could even rise from the couch, oddly enough the doorbell rang. She then got up and headed over there. She opened the door and there stood the last person she didn't except to see for awhile.

"Hey, Alexa." Drew smiled that cheesy, ear to ear smile of his.

"What the hell are you doing here?"

"I heard sarahjean's in town and I wanted to say hi to my girl." He simply said.

"Your girl?" Alexa quoted with a slight annoyed expression. Before she could say anything else, Sarah came into view. She practically jumped into Drew's arms, happy to see him. That's when Alexa realized she was utterly confused.

Sarah let him in and Alexa wandered upstairs to her room. She had no idea why drew was there and she didn't care. She wanted nothing to do with his visit, so that's why she left Sarah on her own.

Sarah took him to the living room and they both sat on the couch.

"So what do I owe this pleasure?" She smiled brightly at her ex.

"I wanted to see how you were doing and apologize." He whole heartedly responded.

"Apologize for what?" Sarah brought her legs up, now sitting in criss cross apple sauce.

"Being an asshole. I wasn't one directly to you but to some people you may know, yeah I was." He continued, "Like Alexa. Is she coming back down by any chance?"

After Sarah broke up with him, he took a good hard look in the mirror and decided it was time for change of attitude and character. The first step was apologizing to everyone he wronged. So as he waited for Sarah to bring Alexa, he realized he did wrong Sarah. It wasn't intentionally but he realized overtime that their relationship was toxic and it wasn't healthy at all.

Sarah soon came back down with Alexa reuniting with drew in the living room. He was still seated on the couch, but looking through his phone. As soon as the two women came into his view, he slipped his phone back into his pocket.

"Sarah said you wanted to talk. I'm actually quite curious of what you have to say this time." Alexa sat on the chair, across from him.

Alexa never thought she see him again. She didn't know him and Sarah were on good terms, she never even told Sarah what he said about her but this time, she wanted Sarah to know what kind of man he is. But drew wanted them both to know, that he's a changed man.

He sighed, "I know you don't like me, Alexa and that's because I didn't give you reasons to like me — to show you that I'm not a bad guy. But the reality was that I was a bad guy. I just hid it very well from the people that I wanted to keep in my life for personal use and because I couldn't live without them either." He continued, "All im trying to say is I'm sorry. There's no excuse for the way I acted or what I said about Sarah. I'm not asking for forgiveness, I just want this apology to be acknowledged."

Alexa was surprised, she did not expect that. "Ok, thank you. But what you said about my girlfriend, I think she deserves the apology too."

He blinked a couple of times, "Girlfriend?"

Alexa nodded, "Yes. Sarah and I are together. Does that bother you?"

"No, of course not. It's just unexpected." He then turned to Sarah, "I had no idea you—"

"Neither did I." She put her hand on his shoulder, "And you don't need to apologize. I know our relationship wasn't the best." She finished, "And I don't want to hear what you said about me. We ended on good terms and I don't want anything to change that."

He nodded agreeing. The two shared a hug before Sarah showed him to the door. He gave Alexa a slight smile before heading to his car then quickly driving off. Once he was gone, Sarah closed the front door. She walked up to Alexa and wrapped her arms around her waist.

"So girlfriend is a new term." Sarah smiled.

"I couldn't stop thinking about it last night. Girlfriend just suited you." Alexa smiled back.

She began to lean in for a kiss. Sarah leaned in as well and their lips just synced together perfectly. The two continued to make out and just before things could go any further, once again the doorbell was ranged.

Sarah quickly pecked Alexa's lips before making her way to the door. She opened it and there stood practically the whole euphoria cast.

"What are y'all doing here?" Sarah questioned.

"Alexa texted." Jacob mentioned as he walked in, pass Sarah.

"Why?"

"Because you got the role of kyra! That needs to be acknowledged." Alexa began walking towards Sarah, "I like to celebrate the little things. Hope this is ok."

Sarah looked around and nodded, "Everything's perfect."

Soon the door was shut and the two joined everyone in the living room. Barbie turned on the speaker and loud music was booming throughout the whole house. Everyone began dancing and some people were in the kitchen.

Alexa chatted some of her friends while Sarah got to know some of those friends and surprisingly, Tom holland was there as well. He was Zendaya's plus one so that was also exciting for Sarah. Hearing him talk? Sure. But also making new contacts was also a bonus.
