STEAL MY CLOTHES
::  xvii. | something new

It was only two weeks left now until Waves was officially done being shot and Alexa still hadn't reached out to Sarah yet. Sarah was getting to a point where she's accepting that Alexa doesn't want to speak to her at all for some reason.

Another off day from work, it was also the last one because everyday starting tomorrow. . work, work, work.

Right now though, she was in the passenger seat as Brooklyn drove to whatever mystery place he had planned. It was a slightly chilly night and the moon was bright.

Sarah leaned forward and looked back as they passed the hotel she's staying in, "Brooklyn, I thought you were taking me home?"

"Put the blindfold on." He reached his right arm in the back to pick it up and place in Sarah's lap.

She looked at him, "There are thousands of things I would do for you— but this?" She picked it up and dangled it in front of her face.

"Trust me." He reassured her.

Sarah sighed as she covered her eyes with the blindfold, then tying the back with one loop to make sure it didn't fall off.

"We'll be there soon, don't worry." He kept his eyes on the road.

"Oh, but I am." There was a pause because she thought for a second, "Don't you have anything else to do besides take me on adventures? Like meetings or anything out of Vancouver?"

"Not really, besides I like it here." He glanced at her then shifted his eyes back on the road.

"More like you like someone here." She lightly chuckled, earning one from Brooklyn as well.

The car slowly became quiet and that gave him enough time to focus on the road and quickly get to their destination. He was awfully excited because this was also the night he planned to tell Sarah exactly how he felt. What he's been feeling ever since that damn cast party, when their lips touched and ever since then.

He would've told her way sooner but hanging out with Alexa and all . . he started to suspect somethings. Now since Alexa is gone, he finally thought it was time to shoot his shot before it could get ruin.

He pulled up to a random spot in the grass and put the car in park, "You can take it off now."

Sarah pulled off the blindfold and she was in immediate awe. She got out the car and began to walk to the edge of the cliff. Once she got there, she just stood there looking over the city. It was light up by practically every single light in Vancouver. As she smiled, looking out to the horizon, Brooklyn was looking at her.

He smiled knowing he put that smile on her face, no one else. Tonight was the night he planned on telling her everything, no backing down. Now that Alexa was gone and out of the picture, he had nothing to worry about— at least he thought he didn't.

Back in California though, Alexa was at her house with Sydney, Barbie, and Zendaya. She had thought about what they said the other day and came clean about everything, her feelings for Sarah, Brooklyn and so on. She also mentioned the real reason why she's been distant with the moody blonde.

Barbie and the girls watched as Alexa paced back and forth in the kitchen, contemplating what she should do about the whole Sarah thing.

"Oh my god, she's gonna give me a migraine." Barbie mumbled as she hopped off the couch and to the kitchen.

"Dude, just call her! What's the worst that could happen?" Sydney followed Barbie into the kitchen as well.

Alexa abruptly turned to them, "She realizes that she wants to be with Brooklyn instead!"

A smirk grew across Barbie's lips, "Brooklyn Beckham is fine."

"Would Barbie like to wear red today?" Alexa threatened.

Sydney grabbed Alexa's phone off the counter and handed it to her, "Call her now or I will."

Alexa snatched the phone out Sydney's hand before quickly unlocking it and scrolling through her contacts for Sarah's number. Once she found it, it took her a few seconds to press it but she did. Once she brought the phone up to her ear, Zendaya came walking in.

"I ordered pizza." She noticed Barbie and Sydney staring intently at Alexa, "What I miss?"

As Sarah continued to look out, Brooklyn went and took her hand in his. She turned to him with a smile, "It's beautiful."

"Yeah, is it." He turned his head looking over the city for a moment then whipped it back around, "Could I talk to you about something?"

Sarah looked into his hazel eyes, "Well what is it?"

He sucked his teeth, "Well first—"

Before he could continue, Sarah's phone began ringing in her back pocket. She pulled it out and read lexa for the caller ID. She wasn't sure to answer or not, but she really wanted to know what the demie girl had to say.

"Hold that thought." She told Brooklyn before walking near the car and bringing the phone up to her ear.

"Didn't think you would answer." Alexa spoke softly.

"I wasn't . . . not at first." Sarah spoke quickly.

"Do you have a minute? Please?" She was so sweet about it.

Sarah put Alexa on mute and sighed. She thought about it for a second, should she listen to what Brooklyn had to say or Alexa first? She looked from her phone to Brooklyn then back to her phone again. Fuck, she thought.

She turned to Brooklyn, "Give me three minutes, it's Alexa."

As soon as she mentioned Alexa, Brooklyn knew there was no point in telling her now. Besides, he isn't the guy to get in the way of potential love. He didn't want to ruin that by giving Sarah an ultimatum. He continued to stand there waiting while thinking about things. Also thinking about an excuse of why he can't say what he really wants to say.

"So . . do you still want to come here . . ?" Alexa trailed off.

"If you want me . . "

"Of course—- of course, I do." It's the way Alexa meant that. She wanted Sarah to come but she also wanted her in a more than a friend way but she didn't have the heart to say that over the phone.

Sarah smiled to herself, "Well, I got to go. See you soon."

"See you soon."

Alexa ended the call and Sarah slid her phone back into her pocket, making her way back to Brooklyn. She slightly touched his arm, letting him know that she's back.

"What were you saying?"

He had two choices, tell her or spare everyone's feelings of heartbreak. He chose the second one, hardest thing he had to do but it was for the greater good.

"Actually," He lied, "I forgot what I was going to say. But man, look at the time." Brooklyn checked his wrist watch, "I'm starving." He began to head back to the car and just before he opened the driver side . .

"Are you sure there's nothing?" Sarah watched his hand fall from the handle and he turned towards her.

He stared into her green eyes before telling the biggest lie he would ever tell in his life, "There's nothing. I promise." He slightly smiled before getting in the car.

Sarah looked out over Vancouver one more time before walking back to the car and getting in. She buckled up and looked over at Brooklyn who was paying no mind. He was too focused on getting the car back in drive so he can figure out a place to eat. Sarah wasn't sure if she did something or what, but she knew something was wrong and she always knew, knowing Brooklyn, he wasn't going to give up the truth easily.
