EPILOGUE
MONTHS had stretched into an eternity, and there was still no sign of Tarius. Gemini's heart had become a heavy burden to carry, a constant ache that gnawed at her soul. She felt lost in the world, adrift without the one person who had truly understood her.
"Maybe this is karma...for all the things I've done." Gemini's tears rolled down to cheeks. "M-Maybe Tarius already found the light...maybe he left me and chose to be with his family."
She looked at the night sky. "Don't I deserve to be happy?" She asked the stars. "I-I just want to be happy...even just this one. You t-took away from me!" She cried.
"I don't believe in you, I-I don't believe in G-God but h-he came. He introduced me t-to you. I-I know I'm not a good girl b-but p-please b-bring him back. Bring back Tarius! I-I need him! J-Just this one." Gemini begged.
Moments later, there's no response. Nothing. None.
Mapaklang napatawa ang dalaga. "Yeah right...I'm no protagonist or antagonist even in my own story. I'm just no one...an anti-hero that doesn't deserve any happy ending. An anti-hero who doesn't deserve anything…"
Days turned into endless nights where she would visit the rooftop alone, her footsteps echoing in the empty space. She would gaze at the stars, hoping for some sign, some glimmer of the connection they once shared. But there was only silence, and the wind that whispered secrets of a lost love.
The memories of Tarius and their shared moments continued to haunt her. The laughter, the dreams, and the secrets they had woven into the fabric of their existence had become ethereal wisps, intangible and unreachable.
Gemini couldn't explain it, but she still felt his presence, as though he lingered in the corners of her world. She would often speak to the empty air, as if he were listening, and the breeze carried her words to him.
"I miss you, Tarius," she would say, her voice breaking with sadness. "I still believe in our love. I'll wait for you, no matter how long it takes."
The world moved on around her, but Gemini remained trapped in the past, unwilling to let go of the bond they had shared. She couldn't see him, touch him, or hear his voice, but she refused to accept that he was truly gone. Their love was a fragile, unbroken thread that connected their souls, and she clung to it with unwavering faith, waiting for the day when they would be reunited.
While Gemini was hanging out alone on the rooftop, her heart heavy with longing and her eyes gazing at the starry night, a soft, ethereal voice spoke from behind her. It was a voice she knew so well, a voice that had once whispered secrets and dreams into her ear.
"Gemini," the voice said, barely more than a whisper, but it held a warmth and familiarity that sent shivers down her spine.
She froze, hardly daring to believe what she was hearing. Slowly, she turned around, and there he was. Tarius, standing in the moonlight, his presence ghostly but unmistakable.
Gemini's eyes filled with tears, and her voice quivered as she spoke his name, "Tarius, is that really you?"
He smiled, a smile that held all the love and tenderness she remembered. "Yes, Gem, it's me."
Gemini rushed towards him, and as she reached out to touch him, her hand passed right through him. She gasped, her fingers tingling with the sensation of his presence, yet unable to make physical contact.
Tarius chuckled softly. "I'm not really here, not in the way you remember. I'm a lost soul, trapped between this world and the next."
Gemini's eyes were filled with a mix of joy and sadness. "But you're here now, in some form. I've missed you so much."
Tarius nodded. "I've missed you too, Gemini. I couldn't stay away any longer."
Tarius returned to the rooftop, and Gemini couldn't believe her eyes. He was there, his presence radiating a calm and ethereal glow. A mix of relief and anxiety washed over her as she realized that he had come back, but the purpose of his return wasn't what she had hoped for.
With a heavy heart, Tarius looked into Gemini's eyes and said, "Gemini, I've come back to say goodbye."
Her heart sank as she listened to those words, her voice trembling as she asked, "Goodbye? But you just got back. W-What's going on, Tarius?"
Tarius took a deep breath and explained, "I...found the light, Gemini. It's time for me to move on to the next journey. My parents...they are waiting for me, and I want to be with them."
Tears welled up in Gemini's eyes, and she couldn't hold back the desperation in her voice. "No, Tarius, please don't go. I-I can't bear to lose you again. You mean everything to me. I-I don't want to be alone anymore. Please...stay with me, Tarius."
Stay...Stay with me, Tarius. I beg you.
Tarius's face was filled with a mixture of love and sadness. He gently touched her cheek, a touch that was both reassuring and fleeting. "You've given me so much, Gemini. Our time together was a treasure beyond words. But it's time for me to be with my family and find peace."
Gemini couldn't hold back her emotions any longer. She fell to her knees, tears streaming down her face, and she begged, "Please, Tarius, don't leave me. I need you. I love you."
Tarius's form began to waver, the light around him growing brighter. He felt it too. He knows he loves Gemini but they can't be together. Never. Not in this kind of world. He's dead and Gemini isn't.
He whispered, "I…I'll always watch over you. You're strong, and you'll find happiness without me."
"No! Please! Stay with me! I beg you!" Gemini shouted desperately.
Gemini tried to grab him but she fell on the cold cement. Nakaramdam siya ng hapdi sa kanyang tuhod ngunit ipinagsawalang bahala niya na lamang 'yon.
With one last longing look, Tarius slowly began to fade away into the light. Gemini reached out, her hand passing through his insubstantial form, and she could only watch as he disappeared, leaving her alone on the rooftop.
Feeling defeated, Gemini lost her balance and knelt at the floor. Her shoulders were shaking as she sobbed harder. Tears after tears. Pain after pain. It was unbearable for her. Gemini couldn't breathe. She's feeling weak.
The night seemed colder, the stars dimmer, and Gemini's heart felt heavier than ever before. Tarius had come back, but only to bid his final farewell. Though he was gone, Gemini's love for him will remain in her heart, and she would forever cherish the moments they had shared.
Gemini couldn't stop the tears from flowing after Tarius had left. She was overcome with grief, her heart shattered into a million pieces. She remained on the rooftop, her sobs echoing in a quiet night, the pain of his departure almost too much to bear.
As the hours passed, Gemini's tears showed no sign of stopping. She clung to the memories of Tarius, holding them close to her heart, as if trying to keep him alive within her. But deep down, she knew that she had to find a way to move forward, even with the heavy weight of loss.
The rooftop, once a place of joy and connection, had now become a sanctuary for her sorrow. It was where she felt closest to Tarius, and she couldn't bear to let go of that connection.
Gemini knew that she would never forget Tarius, and the love they had shared would always be a part of her. She learned to carry the pain of his departure with grace and strength, for she knew that he had found the peace he had longed for.
The rooftop, once a place of love and goodbye, became a symbol of her enduring love for Tarius. Every night, she would look up at the stars, whispering, "I love you, Tarius," and she felt a comforting presence in the night sky, as if he were watching over her, his love eternal and unending.
With a determined spirit, Gemini picked up her guitar, the same one that she and Tarius had spent countless hours playing together. As she held it in her hands, she felt the familiar strings beneath her fingertips and the weight of the memories they had created with this instrument.
Taking a deep breath, she began to strum the chords, and the sweet melody of her song filled the night air. Her voice, filled with raw emotion, resonated on the rooftop as she sang the song she had composed for Tarius, "I Found Solace in You."
In the chaos of the world, in the darkest of the nights,
I was lost, I was hurt, in a sea of endless fights,
But then you came,
Guiding me, warming me, in your love I found my form.
I found solace in you,
In your arms, my heart found a home, a place to mend,
Through the highs and the lows, in laughter and through tears,
With you, my love, I conquered all my fears.
Her voice was a mix of sadness and gratitude, each word a tribute to the love they had shared and the solace he had brought into her life.
In the silence of the night, in the whispers of your name,
I found peace, I found hope, in the gentlest flame,
You're the strength in my weakness, the calm in my strife,
In your love, in your light, I found my way in life.
Through the storms we weathered, in every trial we faced,
You were my anchor, my shelter, in your love I'm encased,
Hand in hand, we'll journey, come whatever may,
In your love, in your grace, I'll find my light of day.
Gemini sang with all her heart, the music and lyrics serving as a catharsis for her grief and an ode to the love that would never fade. As the last notes of the song faded into the night, she knew that Tarius's spirit would forever live on in the music they had created together and in the love that would never be lost.
I found solace in you, my solace, my true,
In your love, in your embrace, I found my world anew,
In your heart, I'll forever reside,
With you, my love, I'll forever be by your side.
She looked up at the stars and whispered, "I found solace in you, Tarius, and your love will always be a part of me."
Unconsciously, as the memories of Tarius and the heartache continued to weigh heavily on her, Gemini's fingers moved on the guitar, creating a melody that echoed the pain in her heart. The chords she played were melancholic, and the lyrics that flowed from her were a reflection of the sadness that had taken hold of her soul.
Her voice trembled with emotion as she sang, the music a cathartic release for the sorrow that had consumed her.
Shocked and surprise,
That's my first reaction when I first saw you.
Can you remember that, hmm?
I couldn't believe that someone like you could exist in this world.
In just an instant,
A man like you just captured my heart, in a minute or two but I didn't care.
So come on closer,
Let me feel your warmth that makes me feel like in heaven 'cos you're my comfort.
My life is void, empty and dark
And you came and brought light.
All these years, seeking and searching for someone who truly cares for me.
And now, that you're here,
I know this is too much to ask.
Can you stay with me, Tarius?
Stay and never leave.
I love you so much, that's what I want to say.
Please stay with me, Tarius. 'Til my last breath.
In just one smile,
You always take my breath away.
My heart is beating crazily just for you
So come on closer.
Let me tell you this, Tarius.
You're like the stars in the sky, shining bright tonight. What a good sight.
You took away my agony, and returned it as a grace.
You came into my life when I hated who I was.
Gemini's tears keep on falling down as she strum her guitar and words keep on coming out from her trembling lips. When she was about to sing the last verse of her song, she let out a deep sigh.
Nakatingin sa langit,
Laman ka ng aking isip.
Ala-ala'y bumabalik, kasama ang sakit.
Maraming tanong, maraming bakit.
Bakit ka nga ba umalis?
Ngayon ika'y wala na,
Patuloy pa ring umaasa.
Na isang araw ay magbabalik ka,
At tayo'y sasaya.
Mahal kita, 'yan ang nais kong sabihin...
And now that you're gone,
Here I am still hoping you'll be back. That one day I'll see you once again and we'll be happy together.
I love you so much, that's what I want to say.
I love you but now goodbye...
As the last melancholic notes of the song faded into the night, Gemini realized that her music had become an outlet for her pain. It was her way of processing the heartache, the sadness, and the longing for Tarius. The rooftop had been their sanctuary, and now it had become the place where she channeled her emotions through music, finding solace in the melodies that expressed her deepest feelings.
As Gemini walked home, her heart still heavy with the memories and emotions of the night, she couldn't help but feel a sense of longing in every step. The rain began to fall, a fine mist at first, and then it turned into a heavy downpour, as if the sky was weeping along with her.
Her wet hair clung to her face as she walked through the rain-soaked streets. The raindrops mixed with her tears, and she felt as if the world itself was mourning the love she had lost. The streets were deserted, and the only sounds were the patter of the rain and her footsteps.
And then, in a moment of chaos and confusion, she heard the screeching of tires and the blaring of a horn. A car appeared out of nowhere, sliding on the wet pavement, and before she could react, it struck her with a jarring impact.
Time seemed to slow down as she was thrown to the ground, pain searing through her body. She could feel the cold rain on her skin and hear the distant cries of people rushing to her aid. Her vision blurred, and she struggled to stay conscious, her thoughts drifting back to Tarius, as if he were a guardian angel watching over her.
Gemini's world faded into darkness as the rain continued to pour, a cruel twist of fate that had brought her pain and uncertainty once more.
But before she closed her eyes, she saw someone. Looking at her with full of hatred, grinning at her wickedly.
"Tarius...h-help…" was the last thing Gemini whispered before she lost consciousness.
The driver of the car was cruel. The car passed by her body. The driver was laughing wickedly. The driver…it was her. It was Gemanie, her twin sister.
