CHAPTER 17
Gemini's secret room is dimly lit with a soft glow emanating from a string of fairy lights on the wall. Posters of musicians and bands adorn the walls, revealing Gemini's passion for music. In the center of the room stands a keyboard, surrounded by scattered sheets of paper with lyrics written in her elegant handwriting.
No one knows that Gemini loves music, except for her Grandmother. Her grandmother built this spacious room hidden inside her walk-in closet for her to continue her passion with music without any interruptions.
Gemini sits on the edge of her bed, cradling her guitar. Her eyes are puffy and red, a clear sign of the tears she shed. She takes a deep breath and begins strumming a melancholic melody, her fingers dancing delicately on the strings.
"I wanted to escape from reality...I want to escape from this cruel world. And music...is my only escape." She whispered.
As she plays, her voice trembles with raw emotion, pouring her heart into every word.
"In the starlit skies, we used to roam. Hand in hand, we found our way back home. But now you're gone, and I'm all alone. Lost without you, heart turned to stone." She sang.
Gemini's voice wavers, but she pushes through, determined to express her pain through her music.
"I gave my all, my love so pure. You're my anchor, my one and only cure. But the tides have changed, and now I'm sure...I'm just a memory that you'll just obscure."
A tear rolls down her cheek, but she brushes it away, not wanting her emotions to overpower her performance.
"I crafted this song, a plea to stay. But you slipped through my fingers like sand at bay. I'm left with lyrics I cannot convey. A sorrowful serenade, night and day."
Gemini's voice breaks, and she takes a moment to collect herself before continuing.
"If you could hear me, just one last time. I'd sing this song, and the stars would chime. But you're gone now, and the bells don't chime. Leaving me here with words that rhyme."
She gently strums the last chord, the sound lingering in the air like a bittersweet echo. The room falls silent for a moment, the weight of her emotions palpable.
Gemini takes a deep breath, feeling a sense of relief and catharsis after pouring her heart out. She wipes away the remaining tears, finding strength in her vulnerability.
"No...this isn't enough. It's not enough to express what...I truly feel. I need more. I want more." Gemini uttered.
She places her guitar down and picks up the scattered sheets of lyrics, holding them close to her heart. The pain is still there, but in this moment, she's found solace through her music.
As she gazes out of her window into the night sky, the stars twinkle like a thousand distant memories. And though the person she loves has left, Gemini knows that her music will forever carry the essence of her love and the depth of her emotions, keeping them alive in her heart through the melody of the sad song she wrote.

Gemini's heart felt like a heavy stone as she stood alone in her large, empty house. Tears streamed down her cheeks, the last remnants of her mascara smudging beneath her sorrowful eyes. She felt abandoned, rejected, and utterly alone.
"Fuck these tears...when will you stop from falling?" She hissed.
"Fuck, I'm hungry..." She uttered.
She wanted to eat some seafood but she only saw lasagna in their fridge so she had no choice but to reheat it.
After eating, Gemini decided to wander aimlessly around the house, hoping to find some solace in familiar surroundings. The creaky floorboards seemed to echo her loneliness as she ventured deeper into the house.
Eventually, she found herself standing in front of her parents' office, the door slightly ajar. Curiosity and desperation pushed her to push it open and step inside.
The room was dimly lit, filled with the scent of aged books and forgotten memories. As her eyes adjusted to the darkness, she noticed a strange outline in the corner of the room. Something unusual caught her eye-an inconspicuous door, hidden behind a bookshelf. Curiosity got the better of her, and she couldn't resist investigating further.
Pushing the shelf aside, she cautiously opened the secret door, revealing a small, dimly lit room she had never seen before. The room smelled musty, and the air felt heavy with mystery. In the center of the room lay an unconscious body, a stranger to Gemini's eyes.
Stepping closer, she gasped when she saw an unknown body lying unconscious on a dusty old bed. Questions filled her mind, but before she could investigate further, the door swung open.
There stood Gemanie, her twin sister, who always seemed to have everything Gemini lacked. And behind her were their parents, wearing expressions of anger and disdain. Gemini's heart sank even further, knowing that whatever she had stumbled upon was going to make her parents despise her even more.
"What are you doing here?" Gemanie asked, her voice cold and mocking.
"I-I didn't mean to intrude," Gemini stammered, her voice barely above a whisper. "I was just looking around."
Her parents' eyes fell on the unconscious figure in the room. "You have no business being in here," her father barked, his face red with anger.
"Who is that?" Gemini asked, pointing at the motionless body.
"That is none of your concern," her mother snapped. "You always meddle where you don't belong."
Gemini felt a mix of fear and frustration building up inside her. "Why do you treat me like this? Why do you hate me?"
Her father let out a bitter laugh. "Hate you? You were a mistake, an unwanted burden from the day you were born. We never wanted you; we only care for your sister."
Tears streamed down Gemini's face as the harsh reality of her parents' feelings crashed upon her. She had always known that her parents favored Gemanie, but hearing those words directly from them shattered her fragile heart.
"I didn't ask to be born!" she cried, her voice trembling with emotion. "I didn't choose to be your daughter."
Gemanie smirked, enjoying the pain her sister was going through. "Just leave, Gemini. No one wants you here."
Gemini's heartache turned into anger, and she stood her ground. "I won't leave until I find out who this person is and why they're here."
Her parents glared at her with undisguised rage. "You really are a nuisance," her mother spat. "Fine, if you want to know so badly, that's the body of someone who dared to love you, to care for you. But you, being the ungrateful wretch that you are, drove them away."
A mixture of shock and guilt washed over Gemini. She couldn't believe that someone had loved her, but her own insecurities and inability to trust had pushed them away. Her emotions were a tangled mess as she struggled to process everything.
"No!" Pagmamatigas ni Gemini. She gritted her teeth as she turned her hand into a fist.
"I won't leave here hanggat hindi ko nalalaman ang totoo!" Malakas na sigaw niya.
"You want to know the truth?" Her father asked dangerously.
"Yes!" Matapang na sagot ng dalaga.
Nagkatinginan ang asawa bago napangisi ng malademonyo.
"Fine...we'll give you the truth." Her mother uttered.
After that, her parents forcibly dragged her out of the secret room, leaving the unconscious person behind. Gemanie shot her one last triumphant look before the door closed, sealing off the hidden chamber.
'What is happening?' Gemini asked at the back of her mind.
