Happiness

We finally slept, knowing I had to be up in time to meet the girls in the morning. I couldn't wait to see their faces when they saw Taehyung at the table.

~🌺~

I woke with a start, turning to look at the clock, hoping I hadn't overslept. It was 8:30. Thank goodness.

I looked at Taehyung, sound asleep next to me, and I smiled happily.

I kissed his cheek.

"Taehyung, wake up."

He opened one eye, and frowned at me.

"It's 8:30, they will be here in an hour and a half. I'm going to take a shower."

"Mm hmm," he grumbled as I got out of bed, reaching for my robe.

I got my shower, and returned to find something to wear. Tae was gone, I assumed he was downstairs already. I hurried and put on a pair of jean shorts and a black t-shirt, then threw his hoodie on over the top, since it was early, and there was a chill in the air. I found my flip flops, and hurried downstairs. He was sitting at the table, drinking orange juice, looking at his phone.

"Jimin says hi." He said when I walked into the room.

I smiled. "Tell him hi, and thank you..."

Taehyung looked at me, and got up, coming towards me. He had on black jeans with holes in the knees, and a purple hoodie, with black work boots. I felt my pulse quicken, and wondered if that would always happen to me when I saw him.

He kissed me sweetly. "Good morning, beautiful."

I blushed. No one had ever said that to me.

"Morning Taehyung."

"So, where should I hide when they get here?" He asked, tucking a strand of my hair behind my ear. "Also, the car I rented to get here is in the driveway."

I looked around. "How bout my office? It's right next to the bathroom. They won't go in there, not unless I'm in there and they are looking for me."

He nodded.

"And I'll pull my car out of the garage, so you can put yours in. They won't think anything of it."

I looked up at him, and put my arms around him, hugging him. I couldn't be any happier right now. We went and moved the cars around, then came back inside.

I made a cup of coffee, and we waited for it to get closer to 10. Finally, we saw the camp bus rattling up the road. He hurried into my office, closing the door behind him, telling me to let him know when they were upstairs.

I went into the kitchen, and tried to put a normal expression on my face. I knew I looked happy, hopefully not too happy.

I sat at the table, drinking my coffee, looking at my phone. I heard them come in the door, dropping their stuff.

"Mom...where are you?"

"In the kitchen..." I said, as I headed towards the living room, eager to see my girls, and give them a hug.

"How was camp? Did you have fun?"

"It was okay. There weren't as many kids as I thought that got to go to the concert...so we weren't the only ones upset about it. I made friends with a girl who says V is her bias, you got competition mom!" Abbey said, giggling.

"Hmm, she better watch out. I'm sure she's young and cute. I might have to put her in her place."

"Stop mom, you know none of us will ever have any of them, especially you."

"Hey, I resent that!" I playfully punched her shoulder.

"Where'd ya get that hoodie, mom?" Ali asked, looking at me curiously.

Shit. I forgot I was wearing the hoodie.

"I...ordered it online. It arrived while you guys were gone."

"What, you didn't get us one?"

"I dunno, Christmas will be here before you know it. I guess you'll just have to wait and see."

"That's not fair!" They both pouted.

I can't wait to see their faces when they find their stuff, and then see Taehyung and find out its their actual clothes.

"I tell you guys all the time... life isn't fair. Now go take your stuff upstairs, and put it away. Then come down so you can tell me about camp. I missed you guys."

They both ran to take their luggage up, and as soon as I knew they were both in their rooms, I hurried to get Tae. He smiled at me, having heard our conversion, and hurried into the kitchen, sitting down at the table. I sat next to him. And waited.

It didn't take long at all, maybe 45 seconds had gone by, and I heard them scream, as they came running down the stairs, both talking at the same time, wanting to know where I had gotten all that awesome stuff and how cool it was.

They rounded the corner into the kitchen, each holding the hoodie they'd gotten, and both of them stopped, a look of pure shock on their faces, jaws nearly on the floor. They looked at me, then looked at Taehyung.

He smiled.

"Hi Abbey, hi Ali. I'm Kim Taehyung, nice to meet you."

"Oh my God, oh my God..." Abbey mumbled.

I smiled. I knew how she felt. She grabbed Ali's sleeve, and pulled her behind her, coming closer.

"It's really you."

He raised his eyebrows. "Yep, it's really me. Surprise."

"Taehyung has something he wants to tell you both."

They looked at me, eyes wide, mouths opened, probably over the fact that I'd referred to him as Taehyung.

Ali seemed to recover a bit, but she didn't seem to get as flustered as her sister over things like this.

Abbey was still kind of in shock.

"Come, sit down" I said.

They did, like robots being commanded.

Tae smiled at them, and held a hand up to each of them, giving both of them a high five, holding on for a second. I saw Abbey swallow, but Ali smiled.

"So, the stuff you found upstairs in your rooms, it came straight from the guys. The hoodies you both are holding, they belonged to Jimin and Yoongi. They wanted you guys to have them."

Ali smiled, and hugged hers. Abbey looked like she might pass out. There were tears in her eyes, and she wiped at them, probably not wanting to cry in front of him.

"Also, the t-shirts, they belonged to all the guys as well. They've all been worn by them, and if you aren't sure who's is who's, just let me know, and I can tell you... but I have a feeling you already know." He looked at them, amused.

Abbey's mouth was opened. Ali was still smiling.

"Um, don't you guys have anything to say to Taehyung?"

"Thank you so much, this is the best day ever!" Ali cried, hugging her hoodie to her.

Abbey was still not okay. But she closed her mouth, swallowing hard

"T...thank you. Mom can I go back to my room now?"

"I suppose." I answered, understanding her need for time to process everything.

"Me too?"asked Ali.

"You too..."

They both left, and I looked at Taehyung. He was smiling.

"I'm sorry, Abbey is kind of in shock."

"You don't have to apologize. I loved their reactions. And I think you might be right. She's got it bad for Jimin." He got up. "Come here and hug me..."

I stood, and went to him, stepping into his embrace, as he bent his head to kiss me, a slow lingering kiss, the ones I lived for. When we finally pulled apart, I caught movement out of the corner of my eye, and turned my head to see Abbey, in the doorway staring at us, her mouth once again opened.

I smiled at her, thinking they were going to have to get used to it.

"Why don't you tell your new friend she'll have to pick another bias, Taehyung is mine."
