During the summer time, Hermione, Neville, and Luna would return to Hogwarts. Ever since the battle ended, Harry took guitar lessons. He'd sing and play songs to get his mind off of Ginny. Ginny would sit on his bed next to Harry and listen to him. She felt like a lost soul or a ghost wandering the Earth unknown. She couldn't talk to anyone but herself, and Dumbledore.
When Harry fell asleep, Ginny one day left him and watched over Hermione and Ron. They were having their last date at The Three Broomsticks until Hermione would leave for Hogwarts.
"Hermione, I love you so much!" Ron smiled.
"Ron, I don't really want to get into a lot of romance tonight," Hermione sighed.
"Why?" Ron asked with a concerned look.
"It's about Ginny!" Hermione loudly whispered. "I'm worried about her. Comas don't usually last that long."
"Maybe it's different for witches and wizards," Ron suggested.
"I don't know," Hermione sighed. "Muggles, witches, and wizards are all human beings."
Ron took a sip of his Fire Whiskey and held hands with Hermione tightly.
"I feel bad for Harry," Ron muttered. "He's so distant."
"He has been, hasn't he," Hermione agreed. "Ginny and him were perfect for each other. I just hope she gets out of this coma. Otherwise, her death would really hurt everyone."
"Yea...," Ron teared up. "We already lost Fred."
"Doesn't George have a soft spot for Ginny?" Hermione asked.
"Yea," Ron laughed. "We all do...as older brothers."
Ginny began to cry. She didn't want to die. She didn't want to hurt anyone else. Ginny noticed that Harry had awakened. She flew down to his bedroom and sat on a stool. Harry grabbed his guitar and muggle iPod. He placed it in a loud speaker and pressed play. There were no lyrics, just an electronic beat. He began to strum chords.
"All I need's a little love in my life
All I need's a little love in the dark
A little but I'm hoping it might kick start
Me and my broken heart
I need a little loving tonight
Hold me so I'm not falling apart
A little but I'm hoping it might kick start
Me and my broken heart
Yeah...
Shot gun, aimed at my heart, you got one
Tear me apart and then some
How do we call this love
I try to run away but your eyes
Tell me to stay, oh why,
Why do we call this love
It seems like we've been loosing control
Somebody tell me I'm not alone
When I say
All I need's a little love in my life
All I need's a little love in the dark
A little but I'm hoping it might kick start
Me and my broken heart
I need a little loving tonight
Hold me so I'm not falling apart
A little but I'm hoping it might kick start
Me and my broken heart
Maybe some part of you just hates me
You pick me up and play me
How do we call this love?
One time tell me you need me tonight
To make it easy, you lie
And say it's all for love
It seems like we've been loosing control
Somebody tell me I'm not alone
When I say
All I need's a little love in my life
All I need's a little love in the dark
A little but I'm hoping it might kick start
Me and my broken heart
I need a little loving tonight
Hold me so I'm not falling apart
A little but I'm hoping it might kick start
Me and my broken heart
Whoa oh, whoa oh
Me and my broken heart
Whoa oh, whoa oh
Me and my broken
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah
How do we call this?
It's just me
It's just me
It's just me
Me and my broken heart
All I need's a little love in my life
All I need's a little love in the dark
A little but I'm hoping it might kick start
Me and my broken heart
I need a little loving tonight
Hold me so I'm not falling apart
A little but I'm hoping it might kick start
Me and my broken heart," Harry sang.
Moments later, Harry and Ginny broke down in tears. Ginny walked over towards Harry and laid her head on his shoulder. That night, Harry fell asleep on his bed with his guitar. He woke up late and sighed. He dropped his guitar on the floor and opened his eyes. Ginny needed to find out if she really loved Harry, and if he really loved him. Today he didn't work, so he dressed himself and quickly aparated to Ginny's room at St. Mungo. Harry brought his guitar with him and sat next to Ginny.
Ginny watched over him and stood next to her bed. She looked at him and then herself. How could she create so much pain? He finished singing his last song and set his guitar in the corner of the room. He held Ginny's hand and looked at her directly in the eye.
"Ginny, I'm leaving tomorrow on a mission," Harry said. "I won't see you for a while. I have to go and pack for my trip."
Another tear drop fell onto Ginny's hand.
"I'm going to leave you my guitar, so if you wake up, you'll know it's me," Harry smiled.
Then he left the room. Ginny didn't follow him. She walked to the other side of her bed and looked at the guitar. It was a classic acoustic guitar that muggles use. Ginny had the urge to race after Harry and try to make him see that she was alive, but she had to make her choice. Her first instinct was to come back to life, but apparently, the gods wanted her to add reasons why. She looked back at herself and touched her hand. Nothing happened.
"You need to know why," an old man's voice said.
Ginny turned toward him and sighed.
"I know why, Dumbledore...why won't the gods let me choose?" Ginny asked.
"You need stronger reasons," Dumbledore answered.
"Will you help me?" Ginny inquired.
"I will," Dumbledore smiled.

Harry sadly stood at the doorway of his office with his briefcase, about to leave. He closed the door and locked it. Then he aparated to an isolated island castle. Its stone was crumbling and the sky was dark and dull. The towers had moss and vines growing on it and water surrounded the entire fortress. Piles of stone were found in corners of the castle and cobwebs grew on them. Harry walked to the courtyard and saw the other Aurors waiting for him to arrive. There would be an attack from exiles to slowly retake the wizarding world. However, they weren't as dangerous as the Death Eaters.
"Alright, so we all know there'll be an attack tonight," Harry started, "so I will divide you all into groups. One group will stay on the island while another group will ride on boats."
Ginny watched Harry divide the group of Aurors and lead them all to their battle stations. She and Dumbledore watched as the exiles approached the Aurors. Harry stood on the ship and the battle began. She saw the spells burning the ships, people dying, blood in the sea, and the castle being blown to pieces. Dumbledore flew down to Harry and Ginny followed him. A person, surrounded by black flew next to them and took the form of Harry. The person flew into Harry as he continued to fight.
"Did you see that person, Ginny?" Dumbledore asked.
She nodded.
"That person is a member of death. He's going to try and kill Harry tonight," Dumbledore explained. "If we act quick, we can protect Harry. I'll show you."
Dumbledore flew into Harry and Ginny followed. Inside of Harry, you could see everything from his point of view. You could hear his thoughts. The ship Harry was on was sinking. He used "Accio" to get on his broom and escape the icy water. He continued to fight the exiles. Someone used "Incindeo" to burst Harry's broom on fire. He began to fly towards the castle - a good two miles away from where the battle was. Harry began to ride as fast as he could, but the exiles followed him. The Aurors were loosing. Harry was one of the few Aurors to escape the ocean battle. He used his wand and red fireworks appeared in the sky. Now, the Aurors on land would know that the exiles were coming. The fire on his broom grew larger and the bristles of the broom were almost completely gone. There were only about ten left. Without them, Harry wouldn't be able to fly on his broom. His fellow Aurors saw him and the exiles.
"Time is running out!" Harry's mind panicked as he took another look at his broom.
"Dumbledore, what do we do?" Ginny shouted.
"Just wait," Dumbledore calmly said.
The spell "Aquamenti" wouldn't work; the fire was too strong. Harry saw the exiles right underneath him and began to fall.
"Dumbledore!" Ginny screamed.
"Wait, my dear," Dumbledore ordered.
Harry plummeted into the icy waters just near the island. He dropped his wand and searched for it. Harry had to come up from air, though. He found his wand and looked up, above the water. A large shadow was cast over Harry. It was a boat. He had to get oxygen. Harry began to swim up to the surface when he began to feel light-headed.
"Running out of oxygen!" Harry's mind cried.
"Dumbledore!" Ginny yelled.
"You will simply ask for more oxygen to be delivered to Harry's lungs," Dumbledore said.
"Just ask?" Ginny questioned.
"Just ask," Dumbledore confirmed.
"Please give Harry more oxygen," Ginny said with uncertainty.
"Wish...granted," a voice announced.
They watched Harry gather all of his remaining strength and move his wand upward.
"Ascendio!" Harry casted.
He was brought up to the surface to the rocky shore and finally caught his breath. The exiles and the Aurors were all fighting. Harry stood up and caught his breath. He took his wand and cast "Incindeo" on the exiles' ships. They began to burn, so the exiles wouldn't be able to escape. The Aurors had placed charms on the castle grounds so no one could aparate in or out of the castle. (They did the charms after Harry aparated to the castle.)
"It's that simple?" Ginny asked.
"Of course," Dumbledore smiled. "The rest of the battle is quite fast in the mortal world. That means, for us, it'll occur in one blink of an eye. Come with me."
They flew out of Harry and watched the Aurors all aparate back to the Ministry. It's been three days since the battle. The remaining exiles were brought to Askaban and would be taken back to the Ministry for trial.

Another year later, Harry visited Ginny as usual. In fact, her entire family was there. Harry stood at the doorway frozen with a bouquet of flowers he bought for Ginny. Hermione, Luna, and Neville were there too. They had just returned from Hogwarts. The Weasley family, Luna, Hermione, and Neville all had glassy, wet eyes and dry tears, stained on their skin. Mrs. Weasley was broken down in tears. Something wasn't right. Ginny was standing in the room - of course, not seen - and was balling her eyes out.
"Harry...I'm afraid there's something we need to tell you," Mr. Weasley said. "I think you should take a seat."
Harry silently took a seat on a stool and looked at Mr. Weasley.
"Ginny has a very little chance of surviving," Mr. Weasley announced. "It's like a one out of ten chance. We're planning a funeral for her."
Harry sat motionless. He blinked and began to move his eyes. Several moments later, he still hadn't moved. Hermione and Ron kneeled down to Harry and looked at him. He slowly moved his right hand over his heart.
"Harry?" Hermione asked.
"Harry....are you alright mate?" Ron asked.
Harry stood up and looked down at Ginny. He laid the bouquet of flowers in her hand, grabbed his guitar, and looked back at Hermione and Ron.
"I...I think I need to step out of the room for a second," Harry said calmly.
Hermione and Ron watched Harry walk out of the room. Then they heard a whoosh and Ron raced outside. Harry had aparated away. He returned to Ginny's room.
"He left," Ron told everyone.
"I hope Ginny wakes up," Hermione said.
Ginny looked at the bouquet of flowers and cried more. Then she left to find Harry.
