​Two days later Kara is driving to her house to take a bath and change her clothe.
       Adam was given permission to go out today, and he convinced Kara to go to her house.
       She has been in the hospital the two whole days and Adam felt guilty about that so she agreed to go to her house today. But she didn't care being two days in the hospital. She has spent more days when Austin was at the hospital. And she was used to it because she has spent days on the hospital when Jenna was drinking too.
       So two days didn't seem like a big deal to her, but to Adam it did so she agreed on going to her house and wait for him later so they can watch a movie.
       The whole ride to her house she has been thinking about the crazy couple of days she had. And even he had a car accident, and he was on the hospital, she spent those two days happy just because he was right there with her and they both love each other.
       Since the first time they said it they haven't been able to stop saying it. And every time she hears him say it she gets butterflies in her stomach.
       'It's so strange what can happen in question of seconds, your life can change in less than seconds. I think everyone knows that, but they never realize it until they've been thru a life-changing situation.
       Like when I found out that Austin had cancer, my life was change upside-down with one simple call I never saw coming and the same when his mother called me to tell me he was "dead". In seconds and with just a few sentences my word was once again upside-down.
       And now with Adam's accident, it was something I wasn't expecting. And it was something that could've end-up in a different way... a worse way. He could've had broken bones or worst... he could've die. Thanks God he didn't.
       But is something that happens in less than a second, one wrong action that could've ended his life or anyone's life.
       It's crazy how your life can be changed so quickly. And it's also terrifying'
​       When she gets to her house she parks the car in front of her house. She opens the door of her house and she hears Jenna shouting "No! You can't! I'm twenty! I can make my own choices!" she sounds angry and frustrated.
       ​'Oh this isn't good' she thinks and runs looking for Jenna.
       ​She founds Jenna and her mother in the dining room. Her mother is sitting down with her legs cross with a cup in her hand like nothing is wrong, but Jenna looks completely the opposite. She's standing up, with her hands up in the air, looking defeated.
       Kara hides behind the wall so they can't see her, but she can see them and listen to what they are saying.
       ​"Jenna, compose yourself. You're making a big scene out of nothing. Your father and I want what's best for you." her mother says in a tender tone and taking a sip from her drink.
       ​"You don't know what is best for me mother!" Jenna screams frustrated and her mother rolls her eyes and sighs "Now you're being melodramatic."
       ​"I'm not! I want you that for once you understand that this is MY life, not yours."
       ​"And what makes you think that I don't know that?" her mother asks placing the cup in the table.
       ​"You always are controlling my life!" she admits sounding defeated and exhausted.
       ​"Again, I want what's best for you. I want you to make the right choices, to have a bright future."
       ​"So, what? Planning with whom I'm marrying is you looking out for me?"
       'Wait marrying? What the heck has been happening in my house this past two days?' Kara asks herself.
       ​"Yes, Jenna. One day you'll understand that. Your choices as boyfriends haven't been the best and lately you haven't had a boyfriend. I'm just concern you'll end up alone or with someone that isn't right for you."
       ​"I don't need a man right now! I can take perfect care of myself." she says angry and Kara knows that Jena can really take care of herself, but her mother doesn't shares the same opinion.
       "That's where you're wrong... Jenna, in our world you need to have the male figure. We aren't a thing without men by our sides."
       ​"This isn't my world. This is your world. I want none of it."
       ​"Since when?" her mother asks confuse.
       ​She grunts loudly "Since years ago!! For. God. Sakes. Mother. That's why I haven't token a penny from you in years. I've got a job... in New York. I make my own money. I've my own apartment. I've my own life there. I've taken care of myself since a long time now."
       ​Her mother sniffs and says "Well, you're not going back to New York."
       ​She shakes her head and says "The hell I'm going back to New York! I would have gone days ago, but I stayed when Austin showed-up alive because I knew my little sister will need someone by her side, since we cannot count on you for that."
       ​'Maybe I should go upstairs and change. This is none of my business' Kara thinks but before she goes to her room she hears her mother saying "I've your sister taken care. You don't have to worry about her."
       ​'Wait what? What is she talking about?' Kara asks herself confuse not understanding her mother and Jenna doesn't either so she asks "What do you mean by that?"
       ​'Yeah... what does she means by that?' Kara thinks confuse.
       ​ "I mean... that I am looking out for Kara. And I will talk to her when she comes back." her mother explains, but that doesn't answer a lot of questions from neither of them.
       ​"Talk to her about what?"
​       Margaret sighs and says "About her boyfriend, I know Austin went back to Spain and I know she's planning on keeping that boy around. And I'm not thrill about that idea."
​       Kara gapes 'Is she still thinking about that? Does she think that she can make me and Adam to break-up?'
​       "Can you give her a break? She found out that Austin was alive a week ago, and he returned to Spain four days ago. Adam hit a tree and is in the hospital. I think she has a lot going on... So just give her a break."
       ​"I'm not giving her any break because she's making a mistake by being with that boy."
       ​"What is so wrong about Adam?" Jenna asks confuse.
       ​"His father is-." Margaret starts saying but Kara steps in before she can continue and says "Enough mother!" she walks toward them and stands besides Jenna "That's Adam's private life! You have no right on telling people his private life! You don't even have the right on knowing it!"
       ​"Why don't you tell Jenna about your boyfriend's past huh?" her mother challenges her but Kara shakes her head and explains "Because is his past, not mine. It's not my place to tell anyone a thing, and it's not yours either."
       ​"But she's your sister. She has the right on knowing what kind of boy you're dating." her mother says upset.
       ​"If she doesn't think is her place to tell me then I respect that. Not everyone likes to gossip about other's people lives." Jenna says taking Kara's side like always.
​       Margaret stands-up and says "I'm tired of the behavior from the both of you. I've all the right to know who my daughter is dating, and that guy isn't right for you."
       ​"I don't care what you think mother." Kara admits.
       ​"Are you going to be with the son of a-." Kara cuts her mother off and screams "Mother stop it! You have no right on knowing any of that."
       Someone knocks the door and Jenna says "I will get that." but they both ignore Jenna. They are to focus on fighting.
       ​"I had to do something. I had to know, and you would not tell me or were you?" she explains trying to defend her case but Kara shakes her head and says "And whose fault is that mom?"
       ​"You know what, I'm your mother and I will not tolerate that you talk to me like that. And pardon me if I don't want my daughter dating a drug dealer's son."
       ​Kara is about to answer to her mother when she sees that her mother is looking at something behind her so she turns around and realizes that she isn't looking at something.
       ​She's looking at someone.
       ​She gapes "Adam." she says looking at Adam who is gaping and he shakes his head and takes a step back and says "No! I-I... I need to go." he walks away but Kara follows him "Please Adam wait. I can explain."
​       He turns around to look at Kara and says "Oh don't worry I understood everything perfectly." he walks toward the door but she stops him before he can go out "It's not what you think."
       ​"Really...? So your mother doesn't know about my father?"
​       "She does, but-." he cuts her off and sighs "I don't want to hear you anymore."
       ​"Adam please!" she begs him but he shakes his head disappointed and says "No! I trusted you! I never thought you'll do that. I don't want to see you ever again." he walks out of the door and she screams "ADAM!" several times but he ignores her and drives away.
       ​She feels her legs weakening, and she feels like she might fall so she leans on the wall for support and suddenly she feels that breathing is becoming hard.
​       She feels a hand around her waist and looks and sees Jenna "Hey hey, he'll understand. You have to explain him." she shakes her head and tears come out "He will not listen to me. He hates me Jenna."
       ​"Just give him time to cool off okay?"
       ​Kara nods but she doesn't feel sure about it 'He doesn't want to see me again. He's so piss off. He thinks I betrayed his trust. But I didn't. I told no one. Just he doesn't know that. He needs to know that...'
       ​"It's for the best." her mother says coming forward to them and then she continues "Leave the guy alone. You'll see you don't need him."
       ​"I will not do that." Kara says frustrated and her mother frowns and asks "Why?"
       ​"Because I love him and love me too. And love isn't supposed to be easy, it's full with obstacles you've to pass and I'm willing to pass as many obstacles as it takes to be with him."
​       Margaret rolls her eyes and says "You're just being ridiculous."
       ​"Mom." Jenna says trying to shut her mother.
       ​"You know what? Call it whatever you want! I don't care! The only thing I care about is Adam and he's now piss and...." she stops talking and starts to thing 'wait he's upset and sad... that only leads to... alcohol... Oh hell he's not drinking again because of me! I need to find him before he does something stupid again' she steps out of Jenna's arm and nervous she tells Jenna "I need to find him."
       ​"Hey hey calm down. What's wrong?" Jenna asks nervous when she sees Kara is shaking.
       ​She shakes her head because she can't tell Jenna that Adam is alcoholic, and not because she doesn't trust Jenna, it is because her mother is right there and the last thing she needs is for her mother to have another thing to judge Adam about "I need to find him Jenna."
       ​"Breathe Kara. You need to give him time all right? You can talk to him tomorrow."
       ​"No! You don't get it. He's angry and sad and... and that's not a good combination with... driving. He just had an accident."
       ​"But he was drinking and driving when that happened. I'm sure he's just going to his house now."
​       'Where there is alcohol' Kara thinks and shakes her head again and says "Just pass me the phone."
       ​Jenna looks for the phone in the table asking nothing else and she finds it she hands it to Kara.
       She thinks on calling Adam and beg him not to drink, but she knows that he will not answer so she thinks about one person.
       She dials Jorge's number, and it rings two times and when he picks-up and says "Hey?"
​"I need you to look for Adam." she says desperately.
       ​"What? Kara? Where is he? What happened?"
       ​"He was just here, and we had a fight and he ran off angry and I don't want for him to do something stupid, again." she explains to him and she hears that he's standing-up and then he says "Okay, just calm down okay? I will call him and see if he picks-up."
       ​"Please tell me if you found him." she begs him.
       ​"You're not going to look for him?" he asks confuse, so she explains him "I don't think he wants to see me for a while."
       ​"Did he say that?"
       ​"Yeah."
       ​"He probably didn't mean it."
       ​"Probably, but he is mad at me and I think the last thing he needs is to see me. Just call him and tell me if he answers okay?"
​       "Will do."
       ​"Thanks a lot."
       ​"No need to thank me." he hangs-up and Kara exhales relief that Jorge will look for Adam.
       ​"You're overacting Kara." her mother says and since she has no interest in telling her mother the truth she pretends to agree with her "Probably, but this way I know that he will be fine."
       ​Margaret sighs and goes to the kitchen leaving Jenna and Kara alone. And then Kara remembers Jenna saying something about marriage so she asks her "What was that about the marrying and stuff?"
       ​"You heard that?" she nods and Jenna sighs and says "She set me up with the son of the Grayson's."
​       "Jonathan?" she asks and Jenna nods "I had a date with him today and suddenly he talked about how exiting it'll be when we end up marrying and I was kind of shock he said that on our first date so I ask him if he didn't think he was rushing into things too fast and he said that mom was already planning our wedding." she explains to Kara.
       ​"She is unbelievable." Kara says shock.
       ​"Tell me about it."
       ​"I'm sorry you had to stay here, if you had gone when you planned to this wouldn't have happened."
       ​"Oh please, she'll have done something similar. Don't worry about it." she says giving Kara a reassuring smile.
       ​"You've to go when Mike goes." she insists.
       ​"That's in two weeks you know that right?" Jenna remember her and she nods and says "Yes and that's why I'm saying it. I will be fine here."
​       "Are you sure about that? I don't care staying here a little longer."
       ​"I'm sure. You've done enough for me."
