Eight
Lynn felt like she was some monster in a test lab as Hunter studied every inch of her face.
All she had wanted was her chocolate ice-cream. She hadn't wanted to be stuck with a strange stalker boy in a situation that was more awkward than when she had the sex talk with her mom.
Lynn's cheeks began to warm, not because she was embarrassed, but because she was annoyed, "I swear why are you staring at me like I'm some freak, if anything you're the freak," she crossed her arms, "Mr.stalker."
Hunter gave her a quizzical smile in return, "I don't get it. Do you have some phobia of boys or something? Is that why you scooted so far away from me and gave Hazel a death stare when she left us alone?"
Lynn was being interrogated by someone she'd only known for an hour and she was not okay with it, "Hmf, as if," she rolled her eyes, "I just don't trust you," she mumbled to mostly herself not thinking of the fact that he might hear her.
Hunter nodded thoughtfully, "Ok, I can respect that," Lynn looked up at him questionably, as he gave her a broad smile, "What can I do to get you to trust me though?"
Lynn furrowed her eyebrows and cocked her head to the side, why did he want her to trust him?
And then it hit her, "Oh my god, that's it! What a classic fuck boy move," she shook her head, "You know, I almost thought that was sincere. My gosh," she rested her fingertips on her temple, elbow on the table, she couldn't believe she almost thought he was a good guy, what a mistake.
He scowled, a look that didn't belong on a face that had been smiling just moments before, " 'The hell you talking about? I'm not trying to get with you, I just wanted you to trust me more so maybe we could be friends." She frowned at him, him giving the reply of a genuine smile, "Seriously, what can I do to get you to trust me more," His eyes crinkled at the sides in an almost laugh, "no bad intentions, promise," he raised his hand as if he was making an oath.
Lynn bit her lip as she rested her head in her hand. She didn't exactly trust Hunter, and she wasn't sure if there was something that he could do that would actually succeed in him earning her trust. However, she did know something that would make him so embarrassed, he might just leave her alone.
She cocked her head to the side, still chewing on her lip, "Tell you what, I might, and when I say might I mean there is a very low chance of it happening, but I might trust you more if you...," a smug grin spread across her face, "go over to one of those empty tables," she pointed to the middle of the restaurant, " stand up on the table itself and," she had to resist the urge to laugh, "dance your heart out to whatever song comes on next, no hesitation and no stopping."
There was no way he would agree to this. He would have to decline and then exit the vicinity before Lynn had any other ideas on how to embarrass him.
Apparently Hunter had different plans, a playful spark shining in his eyes, "Deal", he flashed her his dimpled grin as he stood up from his spot at the table, "This better not get me kicked out of the restaurant, I really like their food," before making his way to the center of the room.
He was crazy, that was for sure, but Lynn couldn't help but laugh as he stepped onto the wooden surface, getting odd stares from the people around him.
"Sir-," a waiter started but was interrupted by Hunter's finger in his face.
"Shh," He looked up at the ceiling in determination, "this is my moment of stardom," and then proceeded to tap his leg on the table as the beat to the song started.
The song Sexy and I Know It to be exact.
Lynn thought she was gonna die laughing.
Hunter flashed the people staring at him a charming grin before he started dancing.
When I walk on by
Girls be looking like damn he fly
Hunter walked across the table and faked a tip of the hat to a group of girls watching, making Lynn roll her eyes as she laughed.
As the song continued Hunter spun around in a quick motion, stopping when he was facing Lynn and moving his hips as if he had a hula hoop.
He looked ridiculous.
Lynn found it hilarious.
Girl look at that body.
Girl look at that body.
Hunter bit his lip as he did a body wave.
I-I work out.
Up came Hunter's arms as he flexed, catching a few girls who eyes who hadn't been watching before.
And then came the funniest part. The part where Lynn would forever be laughing any moment the song came on or the thought crossed her mine.
Wiggle, Wiggle, Wiggle, Wiggle, Wiggle, Yeah.
Hunter completely let loose, his arms and legs moving in all directions as he jumped around on the table.
He looked like an eight-year-old who just found out he was going to Disneyland.
It was a completely absurd and priceless thing to watch, and Lynn found herself crunched over in laughter, practically howling at the sight before her.
I'm sexy and I know it.
As the song ended Hunter skidded to a stop on his knees and looked up at Lynn, winking at her as his chest heaved up and down, out of breath.
The entire restaurant started to applaud Hunter as he got off of his knees, standing up and bowing at the cheers and whistles.
"Hey! You!", one of the servers must have come to their senses and went to go get their manager to report the situation. At the sound of the voice Hunters eyes widened and he lept off the table, practically flying around the rows of tables and booths to the front of the store.
"Meet me back at the Ice Cream shop with Hazel when she comes back!" He yelled out to Lynn as he shot out of the doors running down the street to a place where the angry manager would have no chance at spotting who he is. Leaving him safe to come back to the restaurant whenever he pleased.
Lynn shook her head, grinning, finally calming down from her laughing fit.
Maybe he wasn't that bad after all.
Omg! This story hasn't been updated since July 17th! Holy crap! Well, to prevent that from happening again, I've decided that this book will be updated every Wednesday, starting today!
I am also currently going back through previous chapters and adding some more details, however, if you don't read the newer versions it won't affect the storyline at all so that's perfectly fine.
Happy Reading!
xoxo
