Walking up to go talk to Lillian was probably the stupidest thing I have ever done. I mean all around me, red lights were flashing and sirens were sounding, but I had to talk to her about Max.

"Hey, Lillian." I said.

She whipped her head around and saw me standing there. She rolled her eyes and asked. "What do you want?"

"I need to talk to you."

"The last time we did that things didn't turn out do well." Her high pitched annoying voice was enough to drive you crazy, but this is what I had to do.

"Listen I need to talk to you about, Max." I close my eyes as I say his name out loud.

"Intrigued." A smirk came across her face.

"I really wouldn't get your hopes up, Lillian we're still together."

"Whatever." She rolled her eyes again and made a hand gesture for me to spit it out.

"Max is going away to medical school in Dublin." I say.

I saw the nice brown tan on Lillian turn a pale shade of white. And the expression on her face told me she was not happy.

"I guess he's not there for any of us now his he?" Lillian said.

I shook my head, I felt a tear sliding down my cheek. I quickly wiped it away.

"I'm sorry I tried to interfere with your relationship." Lillian's voice was wobbly.

"It's alright." I was surprised because my voice stayed strong whole on the inside I was a mess.

"Thank you." Lillian whispered and pulled me into a hug.

"Thank you." I whispered into her ear.

We pulled away and smiled at each other.

"We should keep in touch." Lillian said.

"Yeah that would be good." I took my phone out and she got hers out too. We exchanged phone numbers.

"Maybe we can have a girls day out before the Summer's over." Lillian said.

"Yeah." I smiled and waved good bye to Lillian.

And now, Lillian's voice is a little less annoying.
