I saw-well we saw Sugar again at the beach today. She invited us all to her place to have a Marathon Movie Night. Lillian agreed before I could say anything.

"Isn't this great? It'll be like a double date!" Lillian said as we were walking through the mall.

"I guess but don't you think it'll be weird?" I ask.

"Well yeah but you'll push through." She pats my cheek and walks ahead of me. "Plus we're watching movies and I haven't watched T.V. In a while!" She called. I shook my head and caught up with Lillian.

When we were done at the mall, we went back to my place and had lunch while we waited for four o'clock to come; which is the time we planned to have the movie night with Sugar and her boyfriend.

Lillian and I didn't talk for a whole thirty minutes, until Lillian brought up Christmas.
"We should do a Secret Santa with the four of us. It would be kind of fun." Lillian said as soon as she finished her mouthful of salad.

"I guess." I say in a bored tone.

"I just thought-"

"No it's fine. It does sound fun." I interrupt her.

She smiles and goes back to eating.

Finally four o'clock has come and we're getting ready. Sugar told us to where pyjamas so I wore my plaid pants with a grey t-shirt. Lillian wore bunny pyjamas with bunny slippers and a sleeping mask. We headed out.

I knocked on Sugar's door and smiled at the déjà vu I was having.

Jared opened the door and I heard Sugar's laugh in the background.
"We have a popcorn emergency!" Jared laughed and waved us in.

Sure enough I saw Sugar being rained on by popcorn. Her gorgeous brown hair was in a messy bun. She wore a pale pink t-shirt and blue pants, dotted with penguins and snowflakes.

"Help guys!" She screamed and laughed at the same time. Jared scooped her up and ran her over to a chair.

Her popcorn maker was spewing popcorn everywhere and Jared was catching kernels in his mouth.

There was a sea of popcorn everywhere and everyone was laughing, except me. I would be if I were the one that picked Sugar up to save her from the rains of popcorn. Lillian took a hand full and threw it everywhere.

"Get to the machine and turn it off!" Laughed Sugar.

Jared was already making a beeline for it but I was faster and got to it first. I switched the power off and fist pumped the air.

"My hero!" Lillian screeched as she wrapped her arms around me.

"Oo!" Sugar teased. I smiled slightly and quickly kissed Lillian on the forehead.

Then Sugar kissed Jared longingly on the lips. I looked away because I'd had enough.

"So I guess we have to make more popcorn now huh?" Sugar laughed.

"I'll make some." Jared got up and made some more popcorn while Sugar searched Netflix for movies.

"Is the machine going crazy or is it under control?" Sugar asked.

"Nope it's all good!" Jared said.

I can make popcorn. I think to myself.

"Ok so I haven't found much unless we want to watch Frozen." Sugar laughed.

"Sure I'm game." Jared sat on the couch with Sugar and placed the ginormous bowel of popcorn on the table.

We ended up watching Frozen and sang to the chorus in Let It Go. I had a laugh or two but it stopped when ever I saw Sugar and Jared kissing. When Frozen was done, we watched a Men In Black but I wasn't even paying attention to it because of Sugar. I saw her cuddle up to Jared a couple times which just about made me sick. I wanted to kiss her right now but I can't even imagine the situation I'd be in! Let alone Sugar! Instead we finish watching Men In Black and then play a game of Truth or Dare for a break.

"Max Truth or Dare?" Lillian asked.

"Truth." I say.

"Ok. How many girls have you kissed?"
Well that's embarrassing.

"Two-" I say as I look at Sugar. And she looks at me too. "-you and someone else." Lillian nods and turns pale in the face because she knows the question was kind of inappropriate considering the history between me and Sugar.

"Um, Sugar Truth or Dare?" I ask.

"Um Dare." She says and smiles.

"I dare you to kiss me."

"I dare you to kiss m- Jared." Quick save.

"Ok." She seems surprised. But she goes ahead and kisses him. Making me gag but not out loud.

The game went on until like ten o'clock at night and everyone was beginning to get bored of it.

"Do we want to watch another movie?" Sugar asks. We all nod and Sugar says.
"I'll make more popcorn."

I get up and join her alone in the kitchen.

"Hey, Sugar? Can I talk to you alone for a sec?" I need to tell her I still like her.

"Yeah sure." She stops what she's doing and looks at me.

"Listen. I...still...well I just kind of still...like...you." I wince.

"Oh." She starts. "Oh?...Well...then..." Sugar seems to be freaking out.
"And you choose to tell me at this time? Max I'm with someone!" Anger crosses her face.

"I know I know but I can't stand seeing you with him." I say.

"Oh well then I should be with you then!" Sarcasm filled her voice.
"What about Lillian?" She asks.

"I'd work things out with her." I say.

"Oh my god, Max! I can't this is just such bad timing!" Anger starts to bubble up.

"Hey I'm expressing how I feel! I can't keep it in anymore alright? I can't stand you two anymore!" I yell harshly at her and regret it the moment I'm done talking. Hurt takes over Sugar and tears well up in her eyes.

"Well maybe you should just leave." She points to the door.

"Fine." I say less harshly.

I walk into the living room and tell Lillian that I'm leaving.

"Ok I'm coming." She says because I'm her ride.

I wave but Sugar's not looking.
