THE MORNING after dahlia's birthday was upon her, the girl having woken up just after half nine, the slightly pain in her head shining it's way through. it wasn't unusual nor a surprise for dahlia to now be experiencing a hangover, as whenever the group went out for drinks or celebrated someone's birthday, they partied.

and i mean, they partied hard.

after seeing the final surprise daniel had in stood for dahlia last night, her and her siblings alongside her boyfriend spent the night in, ordering a takeout, even though dahlia had clearly had enough food earlier when the group were out. but that didn't stop her or daniel from stopping one another from getting a chinese.

seeing nathan and lily standing in her living room last night was so overwhelming for dahlia, but in a good way. they had a lot to catch up on over the last few months, daniel and dahlia having mentioned to her siblings that they had broken up- but it was a lighthearted conversation as the couple had simply just laughed it off- that clearly showing dahlia's siblings that the couple was definitely better off now than they have had ever been.

lily and nathan had updated their sister on their life, dahlia having noticed that they had not mentioned their parents- to which dahlia was thankful for as she would have gotten herself worked up- both sad and angry emotions will have been present in the girls appearance.

sitting herself up in bed, dahlia felt the security of daniel's arms still wrapped securely around her waist, making the girl smile as she looked down at the sleeping boy. glancing down at her phone to see the time, movement was heard downstairs to which told dahlia that either one of her siblings were up and awake.

thanks to daniels home having a few spare rooms, it allowed her siblings to stay around her boyfriends house- to which she was slowly starting to call her home more than her actual home.

getting herself out of bed successfully without waking up her sleeping boyfriend, dahlia made her way towards the stairs of daniels home. she welcomed kobe, giving the dog a 'good morning' as well as a belly rub, before dahlia and the dog made their way downstairs.

following where the noise was heard, dahlia entered the kitchen to see her brother standing by the coffee machine, the sound of the coffee beans grinding as well as the faint tapping noise being made by nathan's nail colliding with the kitchen counter.

"could you make me one too?" dahlia asked, the sound of her voice having given her brother a scare, his body jolting at the question asked by his sister. nathan nodded his head, grabbing a mug out of the cupboard where they were situated, dahlia confused for a second as to where he knew where the mugs even were.

"let me guess- you looked through every cupboard to find a mug?"

"what? pfft- no, what gave you that idea?" nathan responded in a sarcastic tone, dahlia letting out a faint laugh as she sat herself down on one of the kitchen stools after having fed kobe his breakfast. that was when she had also noticed that kobe had been given some biscuits for his breakfast, dahlia appreciating that nathan fed kobe when he had woken up, when he didn't have to necessarily.

"how you feeling this morning?" nathan asked his sister, placing the freshly brewed cup of coffee in front of her, him taking the seat next to her.

"surprisingly, I'm fine yeah." dahlia said, sending her brother a smile as she wrapped her fingers around her mug, bringing it up to her lips.

"i am guessing you practically live here now?"

"what gave you that impression?"

"that." nathan pointed to the kitchen counters, it having some of dahlia's signature sprawled across it, because she had been spending all her time here, daniel had bought some of the items his girlfriend had as essentials in her kitchen- him doing that so dahlia could feel even more at him. he had brought a mixer, alongside the coffee machine dahlia had in her own home, dahlia having been thankful for daniels thoughtfulness, as she did not force him to buy anything for his house.

but he simply did it anyway.

"i didn't make him buy any of that. he did that all on his own."

"why?" dahlia shrugged, nathan laughing as the two siblings both took sips of their coffee's, the chattering between the two bringing a sense of warmth to dahlia's heart.

"it's because daniel is whipped."

nathan and dahlia turned their heads to see lily standing in the doorway, a smile on her face. dahlia wished her half asleep sister a good morning, lily giving her another smile whilst she rubbed her eyes, making her way over to the coffee machine. thankfully, the water inside was still hot- allowing lily to just simply pour herself a coffee, without having to wait around.

"i wouldn't say he was whipped."

"really? I think i am." dahlia looked up to now see daniel leaning against the doorway lily was just stood in, his words making dahlia shake her head whilst her two siblings let out laughs. "i think i am whipped."

"you aren't helping your case seavey."

"nothing wrong with that, evans."

"oh gosh you two." nathan said, giving his head a shake upon daniel walking over to his fridge, grabbing himself a glass of orange juice. he had offered the evans siblings if they wanted a glass, all of them however just being content with their morning coffees.

the group of four adults enjoyed one another's company, them all moving from the kitchen into daniels living room. dahlia was extremely happy this morning, the girl feeling very much loved with both her boyfriend and her two siblings sat around her.

thinking so much about her life the last few months, dahlia's mind went back to the fight that broke up her and daniel all those months back. she didn't understand why her mind brought her back to that day, but dahlia was kind of happy it did. the fight between her daniel did cause their relationship to come to an end at that point in time, but now?

the couple couldn't be any more stronger if they tried.

and she was thankful for that.

"what's going on in that small brain of yours?" daniel's voice sang through dahlia's ears, bringing the girl back into the real world. a smile was stretched across the blonde's face, him examining his girlfriend as he tried to guess what she was daydreaming and lost in thought about.

"i was just thinking."

"thinking? woah, now you've really gotten me worried. wouldn't want you to get hurt by all that thinking you're doing." dahlia scoffed, giving daniels head a shove away from her shoulder, the two letting out laughs. nathan and lily were just simply watching the couple, the siblings of dahlia glad that she was very much happy with daniel, as they knew how much he has meant to him all these years.

"so what's on the agenda to do today?" dahlia asked the three sat around her, none of them knowing what to do as they responded with shrugs. "wow guys you are great help."

"dahlia one step at a time- I'm struggling staying awake with this hangover."

"lily you barely drunk anything last night, you lightweight!" dahlia exclaimed, lily giving her sister the middle finger just for dahlia to stick her tongue out in response. daniel wrapped his arm around dahlia's shoulder, bringing his girlfriend into his arms. smiling at the affection, dahlia lifting up her hand interlacing it with one of daniel's, giving it a squeeze.

"we aren't going anywhere anytime soon lia, mum and dad are fuck knows where- so we are just going to stay here and actually live the life we have here."

"wait you two are staying?! lily don't you need to get back to new york?" dahlia couldn't hold back her excitement upon seeing her sister shake her head to her words. she looked up at daniel, who smiled down at his girlfriend, him mentally in awe on over how ecstatic dahlia currently was.

"yeah what nathan said- fuck mum and dads opinions at the moment- they missed your twenty-first, so frankly i don't care what they say." lily said with a smile as well as a shrug, dahlia mouthing the words 'love you' to her sister, the girl feeling so thankful to call both lily and nathan her siblings.

"in that case- get your asses ready. we are going out." dahlia said with a clap of her hands, daniel not being ready for the girl to jump out of his arms, her now standing in front of him and her two siblings.

"where?"

"for food silly. i am fucking starving."
