──THE SUN shining through the gap of the curtains woke up daniel, his eyes raking a second to adjust to the brightness of the room once opening them. feeling a sharp pain in his heart- that being one of the downsides to drinking- daniel looked around the familiarity of his bedroom.

he remembered certain parts of last night, mainly the parts revolving around dahlia- the rest of it was a blur.

thinking of dahlia, daniel looked down to see the girl sleeping with her head on his chest- faint breaths being heard by the girl. he watched as her hand clenched before quickly unclenching- that being a trait dahlia did when she was deep in a sleep.

daniel couldn't help but lift his hand up that was wrapped around dahlia's waist, bringing it up to stroke through her hair.

the one thing daniel could remember clearly was the last hour or so of the night, from helping dahlia with the guy at the bar, to the two running out of the bar with him chasing her.

after debating whose house to go back to, dahlia suggested daniels, him completely fine with that suggestion. daniel remembered when the two were waiting for their uber to arrive, he had his arms wrapped around the girls waist as she had stood in front of him, that being his way of keeping the girl warm.

thinking back to last night brought a smile as well as a pink tint to daniels face. lifting his head up slightly, daniel saw kobe fast asleep in between dahlia's feet, his heart warming at the sight.

daniel tried his hardest not to wake up dahlia as he reached for his phone to see the time.

it half past ten.

because of daniel having his alarm on until ten in the morning, this resulted in his phone buzzing from Instagram notifications to the boys blowing up their band group chat.

deciding not to bother with it, daniel put his phone back on silent before placing it back on his bedside table to which allowed him to lean back down onto his pillow- giving him the opportunity to cuddle the sleeping girl on his chest.

a sleeping dahlia felt movement underneath her, the girl deciding to ignore and carry on sleeping. she then felt someone give her side a squeeze as well as a kiss to the head- that warming the girls heart.

movement at the end of her feet made her open her eyes, it bringing her vision to focus on a half awake kobe, whom crawled across her legs to come sleep when dahlia was laying,

on daniels lap.

kobe however not only wanted to sleep on daniels lap, he wanted to sleep on daniels lap whilst underneath dahlias arms. so the girl lifted her arm up slightly, allowing the fig to lay underneath before he fell back asleep briefly afterwards.

daniel mentally screamed in awe at his puppy, the idea of both kobe and dahlia sleeping on his chest making his heart feel all giddy.

daniel and dahlia stayed in these positions for a while, the blonde boy even nearly getting back to sleep when he felt movement from dahlia. he had one arm behind his head whilst the the other was around dahlia.

he opened one eye to see the girl moving her head, a smile appearing on her face as dahlia turned to look up at daniel. he opened both eyes, him returning the smile to dahlia.

"morning you." dahlia whispered, leaning her head back on daniels chest, her eyes still looking up to the blonde.

"morning love." daniel mumbled, dahlia taken aback slightly by his morning voice, the voice she hadn't heard in a long time, but still managed to make her feel a certain way.

upon hearing sounds from the two, kobe woke up, welcoming both dahlia and daniel with morning kisses. the sound of dahlia laughing whilst she brought kobe into a hug, smothering him with kisses herself, made daniel smile massively.

"what are you smiling at?" daniel looked at dahlia, the girl already looking his way as she asked her question. kobe had left her arms, no longer cuddling her, instead the dog jumped off the bed.

"you." dahlia widened her eyes for a millisecond, surprised at how straight up daniel was with his answer. she watched as he then held his arms out, the girl sighing before falling into them.

she felt him place a kiss to her temple, his head then resting on top of hers. dahlia couldn't help by smile at the gesture, this feeling she felt was what she felt when her and daniel were dating.

"how you feeling this morning?" dahlia heard daniel mumble against her head, the girl snuggling into him more as she nodded her head.

"as well as you can with a hangover." daniel laughed at her comment before placing another kiss to her forehead.

"did you have a good night?" dahlia asked as she pulled away from daniel, getting herself up from his bed. daniel watched the girl, his eyes glancing over her body- his cheeks going pink when dahlia caught him. she winked at him as he was caught, daniel letting out a laugh.

"i did- did you?" daniel responded with his own question, him turning to his side, his head resting on his head as he watched dahlia walk over to daniels drawers of clothes.

"i had a terrible night." daniel raised an eyebrow as dahlia picked up one of daniels jumpers, not before getting the nod of approval from the blonde boy sat in bed first.

dahlia placed the hoodie over her head, it now covering her in just her underwear as she noticed daniel was still looking at her, with a smile on his face.

"oh really? why was your night so terrible?" daniel asked, dahlia sighing as she pretended to think about her night. she made her way back over to daniels bed, jumping onto it but careful not to jump on daniel.

"you see, there was this one guy who wouldn't leave me alone all night, he even had to leave the club at the same time as me. he even thought it was a good idea to tickle my sides like this." daniel let out laughs as dahlia jabbed his sides, smiles sprawled across both of their faces.

"like he annoyed me so much he made me come home with him." dahlia spoke, daniel scoffing as he pulled dahlia into his arms, swaying the two back and forth.

"that's terrible." daniel spoke, dahlia nodded her head against his arm. the feeling of his hand on her chin brought dahlia's head up, her eyes locking with daniels.

he leaned in, giving her a kiss on the lips, dahlia smiling as she returned the kiss to the blonde boy.

"have you got anything to do today?" daniel mumbled against her lips, dahlia shaking her head in response as she placed both hands on either side of daniels face.

"do you?" daniel shook his head as well, dahlia smiling as she brought him into another kiss. a bark from kobe scared the two, dahlia jumping back from daniel of whom was trying not to laugh at the girls actions.

"he needs to go out for a walk." dahlia spoke to daniel, him nodding his head as he untangled himself from dahlia, the girls eyes gazing over his toned physique.

"you're staring now."

"what can i say? it's a good view." dahlia teased, sending a wink daniels way, to who laughed as he walked over to kobe who was now running around in excitement.

"can i come?" dahlia whispered, daniel nodding immediately as he picked up kobe, giving him hugs as he whispered 'walkies' in his ear.

"you haven't got any clothes."

"is that drawer still mine?" daniel looked to where dahlia was pointing to on his desk of drawers, him nodding his head. he watched dahlia climb out of bed, making her way over to his drawers, opening to reveal her own personal drawer.

when the two were together, daniel had told dahlia to have a drawer for herself, it being filled with leggings and tops, as well as spare underwear- in case she stayed around when she hadn't planned to.

"you still kept it?" dahlia said in surprise, daniel nodding, his hand finding its way to the back of his neck, that telling dahlia he was a little shy about the situation.

"of course- now i'll let you get changed, i'll be downstairs." daniel announced, giving dahlia another kiss on the lips before disappearing out of his bedroom with an very excited kobe.

"hey daniel."

at the mention of his name, daniel turned his head sending a smile to his ex-girlfriend stood before him in his hoodie.

"yeah?"

"thank you, for everything you know."

"i haven't done anything." daniel said in surprise, dahlia sighing as she looked to the boy stood before her, her watching daniel put kobe on the floor.

"you've done a lot. and I'm sorry for how things went before, but I'm glad we're on this type of terms."

"don't get all soft on my dahlia, that's my role in this relationship."

"oh i was trying to be all cute daniel let me be it just this once!"
