i know this posted last night but i came back on this morning and it was unpublished lol 😌
so here we go again

──THE NIGHT was going well, dahlia feeling the alcohol hitting her as the night went on. slowly, the whole entire group were getting influenced by alcohol and by one in the morning, the people at daniels mini party had gone home.

dahlia was currently sitting outside, the remaining of her alcoholic beverage for the evening, mango bacardi, in her cup alongside some coke that alexandra had put in it to water it down.

she heard the sounds of the three seavey siblings shouting goodbye to the brother, them being the last ones that were not the group to leave the house.

"hey you." christian spoke up, giving dahlia a gentle kick as he saw her sitting on the step outside of his house. dahlia looked up to see daniels older brothers towering over her.

"hey you." dahlia repeated, giving christian's leg a punch in response to him having kicked her leg. dahlia was about to speak up to the seavey brothers when she felt anna wrap her arms around the girl, catching dahlia off guard.

"anna how much have you drunk?" dahlia asked the blonde girl as she heard anna just mumble inaudible words into dahlia's shoulder.

"i haven't drunk anything." anna spoke, her head resting on dahlia's shoulder as she continued to hug the girl. dahlia smiled at this as this was the first time she had seen and even properly spoke to each of the three siblings of daniels.

sure after hearing about what occurred between daniel and dahlia, each one of the siblings had sent a text dahlia's way, making sure the girl was okay and that she was still welcomed to their homes whenever.

and dahlia was thankful for that.

when daniel and dahlia were together, each one of the daniels siblings took the role of being older brothers and a younger sister to the girl whenever dahlia's own siblings were not around.

"anna stop you're smothering her." tyler spoke to his sister, disappointment filling his voice as he shook his head at anna. dahlia let out a laugh as she watched anna drop her hands from where they had just been on her face.

anna brought her face into dahlia's view and before dahlia knew it, anna brought her into a peck, that making both girls widen their eyes in response.

"maybe i am a little drunk- have fun with my brother!" anna said as she held her hand out for a high five, dahlia giving the girl one before dahlia felt anna remove her arms from around the girl as she got up and made her way to the uber the seavey siblings had ordered for.

"i think someone wants to talk to you." christian whispered, dahlia looking at where the boy nodded his head to- the girl seeing daniel making his way out of the front door. dahlia nodded her head at christian, the older brother of daniel giving dahlia a wink as well as mouthing 'have fun' before following his two siblings to their uber ride home.

"hey, can we talk?" dahlia nodded her head to the boy as she looked out, giving anna a wave as the younger girl held her head and hand out of the car window, blowing a kiss to the dahlia. dahlia noticed in the corner of her eye daniel sitting down beside her, him bringing his hands for them to wrap around his legs.

"we've been talking to eachother all night dani- you don't need to ask to speak to me." daniel smiled as he turned his head to see dahlia looking at him already, a bright smile appearing on her own face.

"i know i- i still wanted to ask incase y-you know, you have had enough of me tonight." daniel spoke, dahlia shaking her head as she leaned her head against his shoulder, taking a sip of her drink.

"don't be stupid dani- now did you have a good birthday?" dahlia asked the boy, him responding with wrapping his arm around her shoulder.

"it was one of the best thank you."

"for what?" dahlia questioned, the girls eyebrows furrowing as she did not know what nor why daniel was saying thank you.

"for coming tonight- well technically last night- but you know what i mean." dahlia smiled as she leaned her head further onto daniels shoulder as the two looked out onto his street.

"why wouldn't i? even if we weren't on good terms, i still would have come round and celebrated your birthday." dahlia commented, daniel giving her arm a squeeze, that gesture making dahlia smile.

"so what did you want to talk about? cause i sure we'll know it wasn't just thanking me for coming tonight, last night whatever you want to class it now." daniel smiled as he lifted up his hip to grab his phone out of his back pocket, showing both him
and dahlia the time to see that it was around half one in the morning.

daniel was about to speak when dahlia lifted her head off his shoulder, her finger pointing to daniels phone screen.

"you haven't changed it." dahlia whispered as she tapped daniels phone, the girl looking up to see a smile on daniels face as he nodded his head at her statement.

"why would i?" dahlia shrugged her shoulders in response to his question, a smile appearing on her face as she patted her body, looking for her phone when she realised it was inside.

"your phone is inside." daniel commented, him placing his phone down, focusing all his attention onto his girlfriend sat beside him.

"hey daniel!" jonah shouted, both daniel and dahlia turning around to see the oldest member of the band, the two noticing kayla was on the boys back, her head resting on his back with her eyes closed.

"i think kayla's done for the night, so i think we are and i think- i think everyone else is turning in for tonight." jonah spoke as he turned around to look behind him midway through speaking before bringing his attention back to the two teenagers sitting outside.

"that's fine- thanks dude for tonight, see you in the morning." daniel said, him watching as jonah raised his eyebrow to the two exes, before giving dahlia wink. she scoffed, giving him the middle finger as he let out a quiet laugh, not wanting to wake up his girlfriend that was asleep as he gave her a piggy back.

"have fun you two." jonah whispered, giving them the thumbs up before closing the front door, dahlia assuming he was now going to put a sleepy kayla to bed after having drunk quite a lot during the party.

"jonah i swear is like a child." dahlia said with a shake of her head that was resting in her hand. daniel nodded his head in agreement as dahlia drank the rest of the contents in her cup, that meaning she finished not only her drink, but the two bacardi bottles she had brought with her- with the help of kayla and alexandra.

"he is- but can i ask you something?" daniel asked the girl, his hands rubbing against his jeans as he felt them become clammy.

"fire away dani boy." dahlia said as she leaned back with the support of her hands that were now behind her.

"i know we said we just wanted to be friends- but i don't know if it's just me, but i can't look at you and just see a friend." daniel began to speak, him watching dahlia's face to see if her expressions gave away any hints as to how she was finally as he continued to speak.

"no matter how much i tried over this month or two, i can not get you out of my head- every day i look at you and i can't help but not look at you without wanting to kiss you every chance i get." dahlia smiled as she watched daniel sigh, his hand resting on his forehead. she leaned forward, placing a hand on his knee, that bringing her eyes to meet hers.

"then kiss me you idiot."

those five words did it for daniel, the boy smiling before bringing his ex-girlfriend into a kiss. both of them smiled against the kiss, dahlia feeling a mixture of feelings in her stomach right now.

one part of her was ecstatic, overwhelmed with happiness with what was currently happening- but the other side of her was not so sure on what was happening. that side of her not feeling ready for this moment, as her feelings and heartbreak was still raw, the emotions all getting to her.

but she wasn't sure if it was the alcohol or she was just extremely happy, but dahlia pushed that thought out of her head as she placed her hands on either side of daniels face as she pulled away to see his infamous smile sprawled across his face.

"i'm sorry for not making you stay- if i could i would change what happened and begged you to stay instead of letting you go."

"but you can't go back in time and change it- you can only change how the future will be- oh wow look at me being all smart, it must be the alcohol." daniel laughed as he pulled dahlia into a hug, his arms wrapping tightly around hers- almost like he was afraid to let her go.

"you really are the best dahlia evans."

"i try."

the two teenagers let out laughs in one another's arms before deciding it was time to get back inside the comforts of daniels home as the wind had begun to pick up in los angeles.

daniel smiled as he watched dahlia begin to clean up some of the mess that had been made by the party goers throughout the night- the blonde boy being surprised that dahlia was managing to do this considering the girl had drunk a fair bit of alcohol.

but he knew that no matter how drunk dahlia was, she always liked to make sure most of the tidying was done when she was drunk, as the girl should not manage or bring herself to do it in the morning whilst being hungover.

he continued to smile at dahlia, as he sat down on the sofa after helping her clean up some of the mess, dahlia joining him briefly after- her taking her spot next to him on the sofa, her head resting on his shoulder.

"i'm glad you had a good birthday daniel- now if you'll excuse me- you're going to be my pillow for tonight." daniel laughed as dahlia snuggled more into his shoulder, his arm wrapping around her shoulder, his hand grabbing ahold of hers, giving it a quick squeeze.

"goodnight love."

"night dani."
