His eyes went wide. "Stephanie?" She nodded, smiling. "I... I saw your body... I thought you were dead."

"And I was afraid that you were." She said.

"Then why did you come find me?" He asked.

"I prayed, I hoped, but I knew everyone thought you were dead. I took matters into my own hands."

"But... I saw your body... How are you still alive?" He asked, making his way towards her slowly.

"I thought up a plan to save you, but it involved faking our deaths. It gave us an advantage, no matter how small." She started walking towards him, so that they could meet in middle of the roof.

"How are we going to come back from this?" Asked Matt.

"I have a plan, don't worry, but... For now, just let me be happy you're alive." They were standing face to face,looking into each other's eyes.

"I still can't belive you sacrificed everything just to save me." He said.

"Of course I do. Because I love you." She held out her hand for him to take hold of. With a smile, Matt reached out to meet her hand.

But just before their hands could touch, the flames below had eaten away at the roof, and they fell into the open hole. Matt grabbed onto the edge of the hole, careful not to fall into the burning fires below.

As Stephanie fell, Matt reached out with one hand, desperate to catch her.
