He was craving for one , but this is not the place  ,shivaay controlled himself after noticing the coffee maker kept at the corner stand . The exact brand, the product looked an exact replica of what he uses . He could only cringe inside noting all these details.

The walls had numerous frames with interesting quotes inscribed in beautiful calligraphy. He once again bent down to see his watch , not even 2 complete  minutes has passed yet. Waiting is the least thing he'd want to do ever but still , he was here , waiting for her . At her workplace .

The dating scandal seemed to spread too much , that's one big part of the reason for why he hates Social media. Fake things trend in number 1 , which is a totally stupid. Especially rumours like these tends to create unwanted attention and now he was already annoyed when the outcomes had just started affecting him.  He grew angry on her for making him go through this .

Which is why he's been waiting for her , leaving all his work back , he wanted to show his frustration and burn her head up as much as his is right now .

' What ? Even you don't know where he is ?'

Khanna- I don't,  actually he has a meeting with the engineers at the council building  .I already called them and enquired , he's not there too .

' Oh my ...I don't know what I'm going to tell her this time , she already asked the same question thrice , when will he be here . '

Kh- just cook up something , none knows where he is for now .

She gulped showing her helpless face to him and slowly entered the room holding a tray which had a glass of water placed at the center.

Her continuous knuckle breaking noise halted right when she heard the creaking sound of the door . But soon disappointment covered her face when the person she was expecting didn't appear . Annika twitched her tongue to make a sound and watched the lady in dismay as she placed the tray on the table. 

A- I don't want all this , just tell me when he will come ?

' Sorry mam, we don't know that yet. We're trying to inform him that you're waiting here , please be understanding '

She shook her head and sighed when the staff replied and left . If only those employees were a little sensible , she wouldn't have come here . All because of their greedy mind to grab money, her peace is gone and the news is still going viral to spin her head all along . She couldn't just let him be , news like these could be very crucial in any future decisions she would have to take . As a man from the very same  field he knows this and still he was ready to play such cheap tricks with her to spoil the company's image in their domain. Annika was damn ready to show how cruel even she can be .

It was already lunch time , and shivaay was completely loosing his cool now . There has never been a time like this , where he had been waiting for someone this long time .  She's not responding to the calls  and her own PA is  left back here uninformed of what such significant task she is actually involved in now.

Unprofessional,  he thought without realizing the same word fits quiet well on him too.

He couldn't stop himself from staring in close at the sticky note which was attached to the lunch box the person who came by just delivered there. Shivaay couldn't read it as words only seemed upside down to him , he peeled it off the box .

' If you don't empty the box , I'll keep my belt ready today . I'm serious honey '

Shivaay chuckled immediately, imagining the scene.

S- deserves it , honey !

He uttered the last word with much of irritation in his voice and without his own knowledge he had pressed his nail into the sheet exactly on top of that word . He quickly jolted and threw it away after noticing that he had put an hole in it certainly.

R - baiya , delivery charges please !

He stopped right then on not finding shivaay in there , but wait ,a pretty lady  is here at the parlour. He went near her while Annika stared at him straightly. This day is becoming a total waste for her , she exhaled deeply and watched him from top to bottom .Especially the lunch bag he carried  had the Avengers doodles printed  all over it and that captured all her attention.  A silent chuckle escaped her lips,Rudra instantly cracked the reason for it .

R- this ? Baiya loves Marvel , I know it's childish but

A- wait , all of us were once a child only . Marvel is so nice that people of every age group celebrates it .

She spoke just to immediately regret for actually doing this , defending his taste . Rudra showed his palms in response.

R - no offense , By the way , aren't you Ms.Annika ? I saw you at the award ceremony .

A- glad that you remember , eventhough you could've not seen me  climb the stage .

She mentioned it and shrugged casually .

R- hey...come on , a mere award can't decide who you are . Moreover,  you looked so pleasing that day , most of the guys couldn't just realize that a world exists away from you too .  You are popular.

As soon as he completed, she rose her brows up and stared at him seriously. She's not the one who would go mushy bushy for such kind of compliments,  he read her reaction and gulped showing a decent smile .

A- are you flirting with me now ?

Shivaay waited for sometime before swiping the green on seeing a call from an unknown number.

S- hello

G - how can someone be so irresponsible , have you got any sense in your head or is it completely piled up with mud !

S- what nonsense!

He stomped the floor and stood up at once on hearing someone bash him like this all of a sudden .

G- you are nonsense ! I've been waiting at the lobby since morning,  how are you even eligible for this work if you've got no  punctuality .

S- who the hell's speaking! Wrong number

G- dare you escape with that . I'm still waiting in the lobby , it's been 3 hours already . I even skipped my lunch for this. The line has been unreachable all this time and just now it got clear , don't try to escape .

S- excuse me Miss , mind your tongue first . I'll be a big trouble to you  once I found who this is . Anyways , which lobby are you talking about !

He screamed in frustration, he himself has been locked inside since morning , waiting in a lobby and what's this next lobby now , shivaay lost his cool fully.

Gauri cringed at his high pitched voice.

G - don't you try to scare me , teams lobby!  I've been waiting for the interview since long  , I've got all the rights to shout at you for wasting my time .

S- what , teams ...interview?

He was too perplexed , but suddenly he noticed someone's presence inside the cabin . Like someone was walking here and there , which was kind of visible through that smudged layout of the glass , mostly like a shadow .

Was she in there all this time,  every last ounce of patience he had already went into trash . He hurried and pushed  the door open to give a nice earful to her .

G - exactly, for interior designing job . Remember now atleast ! You

Gauri stopped from  saying anything when she saw the door opening suddenly and soon she was entirely bewildered on seeing shivaay coming in out of nowhere . Shivaay on the other side was keenly concentrating to make sure his ears were working fine or not.  Because he heard these words twice , why does the voice on the phone seem so real and close . He put the speaker on and stared at her dubiously while she seemed confused .

G - you , what are you

Her eyes bulged out soon on hearing her own voice in a much digitalized tone coming out of his phone . Shivaay looked at his phone once and glared at her directly.

R- flirting ? me ? No no , I said that because it's the truth . Every men had their eyes on you .

A- not again , are you always like this ?

R - like , so cute?

Annika just rolled her eyes and shook her head in disbelief when he made that small face  .

R - oh you meant annoying right , ok I thought of asking you a favor, guess I shouldn't. Finger on my lips , I won't talk .

A- go on

R- no it's ok

A- I insist .

She somewhere didn't want him to be disappointed, a cheerful boy he is . Rudra grinned as soon as she said this .

R - ok , I was going to ask this to actress sejal first but since she's dating baiya I don't think he'll allow this . So I need your help , there's this first fashion event I'm organizing and I need a star model for it . So...

He shrinked his eyes like a child and dragged the word staring at her in keen while she remained a statue stuck up somewhere else . Rudra had to touch her shoulder to bring her back her again .

A- really ?

R - yes  , I graduated not long ago and this is my first event . I'd be really happy if you

A- no no not that, 

R- hmm?

A- you said something about sejal  , is it real ?

G- I'm really sorry,  I didn't know ...

She bit her lips and looked here and there not being able to meet his eyes. 

S- you applied without knowing it's my organization , really ?

G - no I mean , yes I knew but I didn't expect you'd  be taking my interview.  Sorry

S- HR team forwarded my room link and contact details  by mistake I guess , I wasn't informed about this at all .

G - ohh ...ok

She kept fidgeting with her mobile cursing herself for ruining the very option of building her career in one of the top most companies in the country. Shivaay watched her quietly before asking of what he's been so curious .

S- so ,you were like , in here all this time ?

G - yes , you people had mentioned there should be no background noise at all , no this no that in the mail. I thought this would be the right place,  so

Gauri held back her words after realizing that she has started complaining once again .  She noticed his direct sight and chose not to utter a word more until and unless he demands .

R- you don't know ? It's all over the net , wait .

He immediately picked his mobile and showed her the picture . Something struck  her mind soon. 

A- this looks like yesterday,  at the hospital.

R- wow ! You've got some real superpowers . How did you guess that just by looking at the picture ?

She cringed thinking how silly could a man really be .

A- I was there yesterday.

R - ohh

His reactions changed when she revealed this .

A- so with this picture going on the internet , everyone thought they're dating?

R- once again wow ! You are the only person who seems to not assume  it . Hmm don't know , baiya says it was an accident but I think there might be something between them and he wants to keep it low for the time being .

A- I don't know about your brother,  but I don't think sejal would be involved with him .

R - how do you know that ?

A- I know her because she's my friend  .

Rudra's face brightened up when she mentioned  that .

R - what ! Really  , holy bells  ! I just love her  man...! Wait , means you can ask her  to help me at the event ?

A- so you don't need me now ,

R - uhh ....no no sorry , I'd be so happy

A- hey I was just kidding, I'm not interested in modeling. I'll try to talk to sejal.

R - no , I need you as my model .

A- change of mind suddenly , don't want the great star  sejal , why ?

R - because she's not you .

Annika cracked up and smiled confusedly when be muttered this in a low tone, cute , he seemed.

A - what ?

She asked with that same reaction while he nodded quickly before saying anything.

R - I mean , I sort of like you . You hardly  know my name , still you're being so nice to me ,to a stranger. 

Only then she took a minute to think  , he was right . She doesn't even know his name .

A- name?

R- I'm Rudra

A- Rudra ...

R - but Rudy for you!

Annika blinked and nodded slowly when he insisted with a big smile on his face.

A- okay Rudra , I mean Rudy .

S - why so quiet suddenly  , you weren't like this before , during the call .

Gauri wet her lips nervously and shook her head .

G - I'm sorry .

S- don't worry I'll find the mudhead responsible for this chaos and bring him to you soon .

G - really ? Like you're not offended , I thought I'd never get a   chance after what I did.

She asked being surprised .

S - hmm even  I get irritated when people make me wait for long , people like your sister especially.

G - I guess she didn't take her phone along , that's why I couldn't reach her or else surely I would have helped you.

S- that's ok , by the way you can send me your portfolio . I'll go through it and set up an interview myself.

Gauri smiled showing all her teeth while shivaay made the offer .

G - you're so kind , thanks!

S- still , you've got some real problems ,like not letting people talk . You should rectify it if you want to work with me.

G - I get it sure , thank you so much  , I can't believe this ...don't worry I'll definitely try to change it . I won't

S- see ?

She blinked hard and palmed her mouth when he interrupted her showing that smirk on his face .

G - sorry.

Once again she whispered this and closed her mouth immediately,  shivaay couldn't help but smile at her behaviour .

R- so you'll help me right ?

A-uhh...not sure,  will try .

R- I strongly feel you will , thanks in advance !

A- don't get too high with hopes...shoot look at the clock. Your good for nothing brother has successfully wasted my whole day .

R - why do you dislike my brother so much ? You seem very annoyed every time you speak about him .

A- you're very naive .

R- he's very sweet if you come to know him. His number  is returning  unreachable,  he doesn't always do this actually . I'm sure there's some problem with the signal.

Annika smiled showing a sarcastic face.

A- well I  think you don't know him then .

R - I'm all ears , enlighten me .

G - wait , I'll call dad and ask if he knows where she is .

S- I'm sure even he wouldn't know , such irresponsible is what she is . How can she not even inform the PA about her whereabouts .

G - I noticed that you don't seem to like my sister very much .

S- ofcourse , I'm not here to wish her anniversary after what she did to me .

He spoke with much of anger while Gauri had an immediate smile on her lips.

G - anniversary,  seriously ?

S- uhh...exclude that 

He muttered being all embarrassed.

G - ok wait , what did she do ?
